The Export Deli is under new ownership and is now J & M Export Deli. My family and I have visited here on three occasions, all Saturday afternoons, for lunch. It's a small little deli/cafe in Export, PA. Although it's not completely rennovated, it is clean and welcoming. I especially liked the gas burning stove in the seating area. It kept us nice and warm during these cold winter visits. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We ordered at the counter and they served us when our food was ready at one of their many tables. We've ordered many of their sandwiches. They are overflowing with meat and cheese and served on thick sliced bread. They are made to order with freshly sliced meat (right out of their deli case). My daughters ordered a small pizza. It was hot, cheesy, and delicious. (Their words, not mine!) In addition to sandwiches, they have homemade soups. We've tried the chili, stuffed pepper, and wedding soup. They were all very tasty with good stuff in every spoonful. One of the things we like best about J & M Export Deli is they sell Boar's Head lunch meat by the pound. We've gone home each time with various meats and cheeses that were very fresh and lasted all week for lunches. The price was at least $2 cheaper than the grocery store, too! Definitely give this place a try! My husband and I both tried "the Yearly" which is a turkey sub with bacon and chipotle mayo, lettuce and tomato too. It was delish!!! The chipotle mayo is so flavorful and has a healthy dose of spice! They have many sandwich options and they all look so tasty. I can't wait to go again! The bread (we had the hoagie bread) had a fantastic flavor and wasn't too bready- which is key to a good hoagie. Inside is on the smaller side and definitely an eat and go kind of place. They do have some outdoor seating which I would maybe prefer or to go would be great too! Bonus for it being along the bike trail! read more

These are the types of places I love to find when not near my home. Just a read deal deli with a ton of options made fresh and to order. I didn't get too creative and just went with the first thing that caught my eye. They had a pasta shells dish that looked huge in its bowl. Definitely reasons to cycle back through. For a little dumpy, hole in the wall, dive of a deli, they serve tasty quality sammies. Located close to work, Export Deli uses only Boars Head meats. I am a bit of a snob anymore about nitrates and Boars head has many preservative and nitrate free meats and cheeses including the kind in my Cajun Turkey sandwich today. This place is not fancy, but they have a lot of choices from their deli sandwiches to salads and sides. I think I saw they make burgers too. Not sure. The menu is written on the wall. My sandwich had some cute name like the Cajunator or something. I really don't recall, but I got it on wheat and they can serve it hot or cold. Hot is more my speed, so after a short wait, out came my sandwich. The bread was nicely toasted, and fresh tasting. There was plenty of meat stacked high and the right amount of veggies to compliment the sandwich. I thought I would only eat half, but nope I found room. Very good. Would definitely make a return visit. I really wish they served their sandwiches with a dill pickle on the side like many other delis. Missed that sour crunch. read more

What a great deli...and I'm reviewing this place without ever actually setting foot in the joint! Our office frequently orders lunch from here and every time they deliver plentiful, delicious, reasonably-priced food...I'm talking dynamite sandwiches! So good it's hard to ever leave any leftovers...and if there are, they always get eaten before the end of the day. I'm looking forward to actually setting foot in the place, but so far - the delivery has been consistently great and the sandwiches are always a "slam dunk". The Export Deli is a bit off the beaten path and for some reason I felt like I was in an Old Western movie when I parked and went inside. It's a rough around the edges deli with ample seating and the food is delicious! For three people the total came to $26 and that included drinks, two sandwiches, a bowl of soup, a side salad and some delicious fries. The fries reminded me of Primanti Brothers and my lunch guest thought they were better. I had the Old Export Sandwich and you can get it warm or cold. It comes on fresh bread and is rich with deli meat and flavor. This is definitely a spot for locals and has a steady stream of regulars flowing in for lunch. Many are getting take out and are on their way but there is a lot of seating available. You can also buy deli meat separately if you want to make your own sandwiches at home (Boar's Head meat) and they also have plenty of potato chip bags and lottery tickets for purchase as well. read more
