I have been coming to Danny's for the past few years, as it is fairly close to my house. It is a…read moregreat spot for a quick slice of pizza, hoagie, or salad that I find myself coming back to regularly. Danny's is located on 88/Library Road in Bethel Park, just a little ways down the road from South Park. There is plenty of signage to easily identify it from the road. The storefront faces Library, but the entrance is on the side of the building that faces the parking lot. It shares a parking lot with Aldi, and the spaces that are more-so near the road are marked specifically for Danny's customers. I have personally never had an issue finding parking somewhere in the large lot, though sometimes it can be more congested if Aldi is busy. The building is small, but has some seating inside. There are no big tables - just a few booths and some bar-type seats. It is counter service, and the seating is self-serve. On this particular day, I stopped to grab a few items for a quick lunch. It was a Wednesday in July, just after noon. There was a sizable lunchtime crowd both ordering and dining in, but I did not have to wait long to put my order in or be served. My longest wait here has probably been only about 15 or so minutes. They usually have orders up quickly, and today was no different. The employees were friendly and I had no issues with customer service. I took my order to-go. I ordered a Steak Salad, which is packed with meat and cheese. I can usually get two meals from a salad, but find it hard to do so because it is so good that I want to eat it all. The base is Iceberg Lettuce, which I prefer, but I know some people would not. The Ranch Dressing is also very good, and I believe it is homemade. They give a generous amount of dressing for the size the salad is. My fiance ordered a Whole Italian Hoagie. They have a wide variety of hoagies, and they can be ordered in half or whole sizes. This hoagie is one of my fiance's favorites in the whole city. It is a great size, always hot with the cheese melted, and just cooked to perfection. We love ordering this each time we come to Danny's! The value is good here - they have a lot of different types of pizza that can be ordered in small, medium, large, or tray sizes. For the square cut Sicilian, you can order a tray or individual slices. So, there is really something pizza-wise within anyone's budget. I also find that the salads are a great value for the price, with a full portion being $9. You definitely get a great value for what you are paying for anything on the menu. My only critique of Danny's is the limited hours. Sometimes, they will be closed randomly, which is expected with a small business. However, they are only open until 8 PM Wednesday through Saturday, and then until 5 PM on Sunday. I have often wanted to get food from here, but could not due to the earlier closing time for a pizza place. However, it is worth trying to come within their hours of operation. Overall, I would recommend stopping at Danny's the next time you are in the South Hills! The food is fresh and delicious, and there is something for everyone - from pizza, to hoagies, salads, and much more. There is a reason this place has been in operation for over 65 years, and you will not be disappointed when you come to try it!

They have a variety of hoagies that range from basic, one meat (like ham, turkey, roast beef) to the craziness of an eight meat italian! One thing to note is that they do charge extra for specialty cheeses. They have buffalo wing and horseradish cheese which will cost an additional $2. They also have a variety of add ons that are quite tasty! I love their hot relish and their spicy pickles. I know they make the relish, but I'm not sure on the pickles. The bread is fresh and the veggies crisp. The staff is mostly high school age kids, but they were friendly and efficient. Able to answer questions and were ok with requested changes and additions to the sandwiches. There are several parking spaces right in front of the building that makes it easy to get into and out of. And the interior had several tables for customers to sit and enjoy their hoagies. The tables and the restaurant in general were very clean and bright. The owner is also community minded. He is running a program this summer that provides free hoagies to kids in need, no questions asked. With all the cuts to programs that help with food insecurity, I know this will help a lot of families! Definitely stop by if you are in the area (or worth a special trip if you are a hoagie fan)

So i found this place on Facebook thru shares or whatever for the original location then i saw they were opening a new location somewhat close to me.. i didn't really make a attempt to go because again cold cut subs aren't my thing.. So i was driving by this way on my way home from work and said why not... worst case scenario, it isn't good... Well that's not the case I'll still prefer a toasted or grilled sub 9/10 times... But this place is very good, the employees are all friendly and kind and with many high school kids(assuming the age) they don't give a damn and don't put effort in customer service or even making a product... The employees were great the owner was kind and i felt welcomed... But how about the food It was really good, fresh veggies and good cold cuts at a decent price i reccomend it esp if your into a cold cut sub this place does it well... i rather have this any day than subways crummy subs... support local business I will be back, i was def impressed!

I was tempted by their chicken tenders, so I asked if they used frozen chicken tenders and they not only said "no" and explained how they made them, they just happened to be making a batch of fresh tenders and showed me the fresh chicken breasts they use to make them. I ordered their Nashville Hot tenders and they were AMAZING! The breading was very light and flavorful and the dry Nashville Hot seasoning was spicy... very tasty!!
