I hate writing a bad review but this was ridiculous! I ordered a big lunch for coworkers and myself because I work at a very busy emergency place and usually don't get a lunch so I order online so I can have my food delivered so I can get food in my stomach. Long story short items for my coworkers didn't get delivered and some of my coworkers went without eating. I called the store to see what was going on and they were not only rude but wouldn't even refund me money. So i spent about 80$ for lunch out of my own pocket to make sure people get food. We do not have time to drive all the way to get the food we payed for (which they told me they wouldn't drive there) I don't get a lunch most of the time so how in the world would i be able to drive all the way to the restaurant pick up items that wasn't even my fault they didn't bring? It's just frustrating when I was being very nice and my boss had to call and see what was going on. So it regards I don't recommend going to this place, food is ok, but the staffing sucks and are very rude and inconsiderate. I work with customer service and I have never in my life experienced this. Hope the problem gets fixed. I won't order here anymore. read more

This is by far the worst Panera I've ever been to in my life. The store is always out of employees according to their sign but you look inside and there is a 7-8 employees and there is always two sitting down on break. They always close the dining area and keep the drive-through open. I manage another business down the street from this location and everybody is struggling with staffing but we always make it work. Not close their doors and choose what service you want to offer and what service he don't wanna offer. Their tablets for cells ordering were down for two weeks and they still can't seem to get them fixed. They ran out of coffee for three weeks straight just because they're Brewer broke down and they can't get somebody to process it urgently so they can serve their customers. Drive thru is SO SO SLOW! It wasn't even busy, and it took forever. 6pm on Saturday, there were only 2 cars ahead of me when I pulled in, and I sat there for 20-25 minutes. I understand if the 2 cars ahead of me had some large orders or something, but half of that wait was after I had gotten to the window...My order was for 2 soups and a half salad. Why would that take so long? The food was fine, but overall it is way overpriced and not worth the long wait! I won't be back. read more

Consistently rapid pick-up has made mistakes on my orders. From leveling out the chips or adding an item I asked to be removed. Takes away from the time saving aspect when you're driving back to have your order fixed. Drive thru lines are super slow regardless if there's 5 cars infront if you or 1!! Most recently the Mediterranean veggie sandwich I ordered today was lacking the normal flavor, bread was dry and tasteless. read more

Horrible food and service. I got their new chicken sandwich. Stone cold from Antarctica. They forgot my cinnamon bagel one time and my drink the next on a delivery order. Panera used to be the best and now it has gone to the gutter. The workers don't care and don't take pride in their work. I would take McDonalds any day over this. I went for a dozen bagels and had to wait to place an order at the drive thru before taking my order, only one other person was in line and they were at the window. I had to wait 15 mins to get the bagels. Horrible service, evidently they can't handle any kind of orders in the morning. Not doing this again read more

Wow today was my worst experience with this location , I've came here a couple times before and never had a problem but today was just unacceptable . I had placed my order at 6:45 and I didn't receive my food till 7:15 and when I told them I didn't receive my order yet they reacted like they didn't believe me , asked for my receipt and still got my order wrong . read more

Horrible order. I ordered the Baja grain bowl without dairy and found pieces of feta in the dish. I am lactose intolerant and can only imagine how someone would feel if they had a dairy allergy. Also found Kalamata olives and no avocado in the dish. It looked thrown together and not enough of a serving size. Will not be going here again. read more

The worst Panera in Modesto. Employees are rude to the customers + very slow and I ordered food and coffee and always the food and coffee cold especially coffee always cold. The store always closes their doors and only open for rapid pick up and delivery and they don't even take orders inside restaurant. read more

I love the convenience of online ordering and rapid pickup. But the drawback is not really seeing the quality of the food until you get home. I ordered salads tonight and substituted apples instead of bread to satisfy our sweet tooth. But here's what I had when I got home. Is anyone there looking at the food? I feel the prices are too high for what they offer. The turkey sandwich my sister ordered a sandwich yesterday and it was average and best and expensive. Also, sometimes the drive-thru takes forever and by the time I reach the window, the food is cold. I love Panera bread I go to this location all the time. I have to give one star because they're performance quality was off today. When I got my food home today my soup lid wasn't sealed all the way and it spilled all over everything else ruining some things, Like my baguettes. Please don't be lazy and put the soup holder in the bottom of the bag like you always do. Having my soup just thrown in the bag half open is not thinking about the customer. read more

This is the worst Panera location I've ever eaten at. For the prices Panera charges I expect quality food as you receive in other Panera restaurants. The salads are chintzy with very little meat and even though I've given them several chances I've yet to get a bowl of soup that is actually hot. You get this large bowl with one ladle of cold soup slopped in the bowl. It takes forever to get your food and out of the 6 or seven times we've eaten there they always mess up someone's order. There is one particularly annoying staff member who is a pest and constantly interrupts diners conversations asking to clear the dishes. I gave this Panera a pass for the first couple of months because it was a new location and thought they were working the bugs out, but come on! It's time to get your act together! read more

9/21/2018 - 7:40am Dale Rd/Standiford, Modesto. 2nd car in drive through line. I see the person in front of me rolling her eyes as she is ordering. Clearly irritated. My turn, order cinnamon/raisin NOT cinnamon crunch. The order taker is repeating my order under the breath. I said, no, it is cinnamon raisin, she said okay and repeated it. It's now 8:03am, still behind the first car, really what did this women order? She gets her bag of items, nothing grand that would merit this kind of wait. I get up the window, no customer service comment of 'I'm sorry for the long wait". Just here ya go. I leave with a toast/cold bagel and it is cinnamon crunch! My co-worker and I order and have it delivered to work. This is the second time that Postmates does not delivery our food that we have paid for. When you track the order it says that the order was delivered at the same exact time the order was place. I think it is time to switch from Postmates and use another delivery company. read more
