We ordered: * (2) Pick 2 Tuna Salad and Tomato Soup * (1) Hearty Fireside Chili * (1) Tomato Basil BLT * (1) Cranberry Walnut Chicken Salad Sandwich (on Ciabatta) I tasted the Tomato Basil BLT which was pretty good, I would order that again. My Hearty Fireside Chili was definitely not hearty, I thought it was thin and almost a soup. And if I can borrow some old ad verbiage, "where's the beef?" I could find little evidence of that in this thin attempt at chili. So, some good, some bad and a 3-star rating for this visit. The quality of Panera has gone down significantly in the last 10 years. The only reason I go there is because of my twin daughters. The prices have skyrocketed as well. Got the Creamy Tomato Soup here, a decaf coffee, and a Lemon Drop Cookie. The soup and coffee were very good, soup consistent with what you'd get at other Panera locations. I've never actually had the coffee at a Panera before and I'm always afraid that coffee from machines will be lukewarm and bitter, but this was nice and hot, and quite smooth. The cookie was crispier/less soft than Lemon Drops I've had at other Paneras. Still a good cookie, just not the melty heaven I expected. Didn't interact much with the staff, but they had the food ready quickly, and the place was very clean despite being busy. Lots of seating. read more

I have enjoyed the friendly confines of Panera, Millbury for years. Particularly, it has been very rewarding to meet many very nice folks who have been employed there. Each of them had consistently and genuinely extended themselves to create a welcoming atmosphere. Their kindness and helpfulness to me and so many other customers was inspiring. Each of them is no longer employed here. Their absence coincided with management changes. I was crestfallen. Have spoken with others who feel similarly. The circumstances of their departures were appropriately not shared when I inquired about whether or not they had departed or been separated from employment. I truly miss them. What has happened to this place? I've been going here for decades. Literally. And it has just tumbled so far downhill that I can't even decide if the Frontega chicken is worth the hassle anymore. I love it. I love a lot of their food. But the service is AWFUL. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. We left recently with a relatively large order and my Frontega had chicken on 1/2 the sandwich only (and it was wrapped tightly, it didn't "toss" around). They are always missing stuff even though they "check" it off on the receipt. My last visit I was ignored entirely while my bagels sat on the counter in front of the toasting oven. I just got 2 bagels. Toasted. THAT WAS ALL. And someone pulled them out of the oven and dumped it on the counter and left them there. When I inquired about them? OMG, you thought I had asked someone to hand me their first born child. I stood there staring at them for probably 5 minutes and was the only one at the counter waiting. Anywho... I could go on and on, but the service is absolutely horrible and I hate saying that because not everyone there is terrible. But man, it's just bad. When you pay $18 for a sandwich, chips and beverage... seems I should visit a restaurant that cares instead. SO I will. read more

Ordering from Panera couldn't be easier. I've ordered several times using the app at various times of the day, both weekdays and weekends, lunchtime, and later in the day. Every time I've ordered the order accuracy was spot on, the food was ready on time, and tasted great. Parking can be somewhat of a pain though it isn't terrible. read more

Very disappointed in this business. My family ordered over $150 worth of food, and once it was brought home half of it was missing. When we called to ask if it could be delivered or at the BARE minimum refunded for what we didn't receive, we were told that we had to show up in person with a photo ID to get a refund......really? We sat and waited for about 15 minutes and started noticing that people who came in after us were getting their food before us. I brought my grandson in for a quick bite this morning and had a little sticker shock when an egg and meat sandwich, an iced coffee and a kids Mac and cheese came to $18. Maybe that's the usual and I just don't come here often enough but it was a little surprising. Then I had to wait 12 minutes for our meal to be ready, even though it's an early Sunday and not very crowded. Worse, I had to wait the entire time for my iced coffee because it comes out with the meal, unlike every other coffee or tea drink it seems. And it wasn't even ready when the food was and I had to get the attention of the girls behind the counter and ask for one Other little irritating things too this morning, there were no long coffee stirrers, the half and half and the skim milk containers were both empty; there was no knife available to cut my sandwich or my grandson's apple. You're able to take him go off and actually was a gift card or credit card you actually look up there and Order what you want , take a pager and then they will notify you when your order is ready. I love Panera, or I did. Now I like it but I am not happy. Today I am in Millbury and stop here. Need to get a cool drink and work for 20 minutes or so. Right off no cashiers, but I hear workers. Someone should tell them about inside voice and not slamming pots and pans. If I wanted to eat in a loud kitchen I could go home. The only option sans a cashier is kiosk. The world is run by machines. I had a pastry reward so why not? Finally a cashier came up and rang out a customer, came around when I was looking for the ctedit card slot (small and hidden on top) and was short and impatient showing me where it was. Next task was looking for a clean table. Small drink marks on most tables and the carpet needs a good vac. The pager goes off, there is no more table service, and I go to get my scone and tea. No one at rhe counter. No tray for mine. I wait till another order is placed in the window and am asked, "What are you looking for?" I tell her and she asked if I used the kiosk. I say I did and she sighs and said that I needed to go grab a cup from under something and that the girl at the front shoyld have gotten my scone. She disappears, cimes back and hands me a cup and tells me to wait.then hands me my scone. No words. What has happened to customer service? The dining Room would have been clean if they had table service. What happened in the words thank you? Why is Panera self service? My kitchen is looking better and better. I will agree with others that this particular Panera needs some work. It seemed dirty ... There were straw wrappers and crumpled napkins all over the floor. The tables seemed unwiped. They ran out of bread an hour and a half before closing and told us that we could only get chips with our meals, despite several loaves of bread that sat right behind the counter in the racks. The staff there were mostly teenagers and I didn't see a manager present ... The staff loudly talked in a group behind the counter about not suitable for work topics. I understand that they are kids and this is what kids do ... But I don't come to a restaurant to hear loud conversations about hookups and jackle-like laughing. The furniture seems kind of worn ... Lots of chips in the tables, carpet is worn and the walls are stained. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom. The food was decent but if the dirty floor was any indication of what the kitchen looked like ... Oh boy. Panera food is always pretty decent and there are a lot of choices. It is pretty much 'faux-health food' full of calories and masquerading as salads and such but tasty. I'd not go back to this Panera again ... I have been a regular customer at Panera Bread in Millbury for several years. The staff are like a family to me. Amanda who greets you and takes your order is so friendly and welcoming and Stephanie who prepares my breakfast is also great. They go the extra mile. The manager Sam always is making sure everything is going smoothly, as are Patty, Scott and Zach. It is also very cozy there. I love to just relax, have breakfast while reading a good book by the fireplace and chatting with some of the regulars. The steel cut oatmeal is one of my favorites, so good. Crap. I've got a little tired of the poor service and lack of reliability of their staff. This morning I went to the Milbury location, because shrewsbury location on five different occasions has messed up my order. I place my order running late to work driving extra 15 minutes out of my way to this location, when I got there I paid and left eager to and and head to work only to find my order was all messed up (again). It had mayonnaise all over it, it was not toasted, there was no cheese...as a result I had to go back in return my order and head to a 12 hour day with nothing in my stomach. I understand people make mistakes, but my experience with Panera bread has been consistently inconsistent with what they offer and their service. Avoid this place and buy small with a small local diner or something. I don't have any recommendations for a local eatery because I usually don't eat out but it's worth looking into to not have to go here. read more

Not going to lie, food is very below average. I typically order the Mac and cheese in the bread bowl and usually somebody else I am with will order various types of meals throughout the menu. Went here for a late lunch after a stop at the Feng Asian Bistro for a bunch of drinks. First, you should eat before you drink. Second, you should eat before you drink. That being said, I went with my boyfriend and another friend, and it was good. Ordered a Tomato and Mozzerrella Panini, and it was fast and delicious.
