I will not be returning, disrespectful and unprofessional. i ordered the same thing 3 to 5 days a week, so there's no way possible to get it wrong. Save your money go somewhere else because it may be fine a time or two depending on who's there but you'll get the same treatment. there's far more even going into how poorly my grain bowls were made 2 out of 3 hit and miss. getting it right once out of 3 times....just because they aren't rude doesn't mean you won't be treated like trash the way they carelessly throw your food together. read more

I have been a customer of this business since it opened many years ago. For most of that time they have allowed an Organized Political Action Committee to meet there every Saturday Morning. This business has received many, many complaints about these people. First of all, it's unheard of to allow a group to meet and openly, and loudly discuss Politics without other hearing it. Second, there is not a time they meet that they do not TRASH TALK and INSULT the opposing Party. Panera's has allowed this group to Offend and Insult customers for years and they have been aware of it for just as long. There is no wonder this business has such a low rating. Do NOT go to this Restaurant on a Saturday Morning unless you are willing to be insulted by these Morons. A very disappointing meal at the Mesquite Panera. Drove way out of the way because I was having a bread bowl craving. Only to be told "we're outta bread bowls"-- by a rude cashier person who simply stared at me expressionless ! Her next comment was "ya just wanna bowl of soup then"? Um, yeah looks like that's what I'm getting. To top it off, I wasn't offered any side--thought that was customary. Apple or nice hunk of good bread, right? So I wait to see what my plain bowl of soup will come with...again, I'm at Panera BAKERY so I'm thinking I'll get a nice price of bread...but no. I usually love Panera's food, but I will NEVER go back to this location. We went through the drive through and were told to wait to place our order. After 5 minutes of silence we asked if they were ready, and they were incredibly rude. After waiting for 5 more minutes, we finally ordered, but they got it wrong 3 times, so they had to keep canceling and redoing it. We were not only over charged (somehow paid $33 for 2 meals), but they made us wait for 20 minutes at the window. When they finally gave us our food, they forgot one drink, one soup, and gave us no baguettes. We thought they fixed this, but when we got home, we still had no baguettes, and my Turkey & Avocado BLT had no avocado and was on stale bread. My inital interest in Panera Bread in all honesty was the Free Wi-fi. However, after working on your laptop in Panera for a few hours, one tends to get hungry :). So, I tried some items on their menu, and I have been hooked on Panera ever since ( great marketing idea Panera ! Give'em Free Wi-fi, and they will never leave! LOL!). Anyway, I LOVE LOVE LOVE..did I mention LOVE, their Lemonade and Green Tea. I always throw extra lemons in there to give it that extra "tang". If you haven't tried it out, you have no idea what you are missing. I actually mix my drink up as half lemonade and half green tea topped with fresh lemons, and it is good! The best part is that if you are having a long extended work day, you get free re-fills on coffee and drinks, which is a great thing. The Sandwhiches, soups and pastries are great as well. The Cheese Broccoli Soup is one of my favorites, and the fudge cookie. Yum! read more

The food here is not bad and the pastries and breads are outstanding. I rate it well above Jason's Deli, but below Cafe Express overall. The biggest complaint I have with all Paneras is that they do a miserable job of keepng the tables clean and I usually have to corral an employee to clean one off. I LOVE Panera Bread! I had to pick up an order at Town East Mall this morning, noticed there was a Panera Bread on the access road across LBJ, so perfect! It was about 9:10 am. No parking in front, parked in back, walked through drizzle. Many, many kiosks for impersonal ordering. Great if there is a rush. I prefer face to face. Old school. Guess I'd best get over it! Anyway, I walked to the register, staff working on to go orders (all the locations do this) so there was a lot of jumble near register. Finally, a staff member (young woman) was forced to look up from filling a large sack. I asked politely if they took orders at the counter. She said yes and turned her back to work on the sacks. Not a be with you soon or anything. I stood there for probably 2 minutes, no one looked my way. I could've ordered electronically, but after that didn't want to....just no good vibes. Just understand that this is probably not a place for relaxing w a cup of coffee and a toasted bagel. It has a very busy drive through and obviously lots of catering. This was the most horrible service I have EVER had at a Panera Bread. I am a long time customer of another location. Due to a job relocation, this is the only one near me. I walked in and asked where I could pay for and pick up my order. They told me to go to the food window. In the other location I usually go to, every thing is clearly marked and there is no confusion. The whole staff, including managers, trainers ect looked at my like I was completely stupid.No one was friendly at all, no one said hello or offered to help me. I was obviously annoyed at this point and told someone that I'm upset that everyone was being so rude to me. 2 managers, and numerous staff members just stood there staring at me with no apologies. I called my order in at 11am, was told it could be ready in 5 mins. I said that is ok, I'll be there in 15.. I got there at 11:15, stood there until 11:20 until I got fed up, and my order still wasn't ready until 11:25.. It was a simple salad. This location needs to get it together. My family and I usually enjoy Panera but we had a lunch time experience today at the Panera in Mesquite that made us vow to never eat there again. 1. First of all, the person taking our order got our order wrong and when the food came out he said that he gave us what he just assumed we wanted. Please do not assume, if you have questions about what I ordered please ask so that it is right. 2. Lunch for two adults and 2 kids should not be $37.50! We didn't get dessert, just normal lunch but due to the fact that the cashier messed up our order and the kids meals, although fairly pricey, do not come with a drink, that is how much we paid for a terrible lunch time experience at this location. 3. Where is the dressing?! My salad had very little dressing so I was pretty much eating dry lettuce. You may say, "you could have just asked for more", but if that is your approach please continue reading. 4. I asked for chips instead of bread and my plate came out with bread instead of chips. Of course, I asked for chips instead and received them so no big deal right? Please keep reading. 5. My sandwich was made incorrectly. It did not have any peppers on it which it is supposed to come with standard. To add to it, when I went to the window and asked if I could please get the peppers that were supposed to be on my sandwich the lady working in the kitchen acted "put out" that she had to get me the peppers that should have been on my sandwich to begin with. My point, I should not have to ask for dressing, chips, peppers, etc. twice in order to receive them. Mistakes happen but there was a break down at every step of the process in this situation. 6. There was a hair in my salad and the people preparing the food did not have on hair nets. 7. One employee that was supposed to be carrying food to people's table kept ducking around a corner in the store and texting on his phone every few minutes. 8. I saw the same employee that was texting pick his nose on several occasions and then use the same fingers he was picking his nose with to carry people's food to their table. Ok, so #8 should really be #1 if I was ranking in order of severity but unfortunately I listed them in chronological order. Anyways, I am not someone who usually writes reviews. In fact, I have never in my life written a review, good or bad. In this case however, there were so many unpleasant experiences that I thought everyone would like to know before they invest a ridiculous amount of money on a dining experience that could end up like ours. I love Panera Bread! But this is the last time EVER at this restaurant. I've eaten here nearly weekly for 5 years... And most every Sunday for lunch. Today the app didn't work. In recent visits, the service was slow, the restaurant unclean, the coffee and supplies were unreplenished or refreshed (coffee out or old, no sugar, etc.). But today, there were 6 vacant tables available. ALL WERE UNCLEAN!!! I watched as I and other customers had to clean their own tables in order to eat. Unacceptable. Went to this location on Sat. 7/28/18 for a small lunch meeting, it was a DISASTER! I go to the counter to order drinks for the group and to get a gift card for the couple that I was meeting with as a Thank you. The cashier took about 6-8 minutes to get the customers order in front of me. I thought that was slow but okay maybe she's new. Finally, my turn, the cashier rang up my order and I paid with my debit card which was approved and she hands me the cups for drinks. After the transaction she then tells me that the gift card did not go through to be activated. What?? She asked a fellow that just came in for his shift and he also didn't know how to help. I asked for a manager, who put her hand up at me and said hold on! I need to call on Jesus to deal with the fellow that just came in for his shift. Then she proceeds to tell me that my transaction didn't go through, so frustrating, when on my side it says approved. By this time I'm at the counter about 7 or 8 minutes longer while my meeting should be underway. I will deal with my bank on it today but this location is poorly managed, the cashier and the manager were unapologetic, customer service skills are NON existent. Great food, but VERY unsanitary place to eat. I took pictures of the bread rack last week. An employee keeps her purse on the bread cooling rack with the bread. Beware. Cashier's will nickel and dime you for every item you order. They will up-sale for every little item they can. The management is rude and obnoxious if you have any issue. This is the nearest Panera Bread to my home so I don't have a lot of choices if I want to sit and enjoy a coffee and pastry. But I come here occasionally hoping the service changes - hasn't in the 5-6 years I have been coming here. If you there out of something they aren't gracious to offer something in place or rain check even a free pastry for them not having all the ingredients available but there quick to add up each and every item even though there missing ingredients. My advice order small drinks and take advantage of the refills drinks are priced outrageously. Also, there internet is spotty slow at best. Sorry to be a Debbie-downer but they really need to improve over all restaurant patrons deserve some respect. read more

Don't be mislead by the the time posted online AND on the door. We got here at 9:28 at night and they refused to take my order because they had already closed down the register. I understand wanting to get out of there quickly but 10 PM is 10 PM and thats terrible service. They redirected me to the drive thru if I wanted to order, so I ordered a sandwich, 2 waters, a cup of mac n cheese, and a bowl of soup. They handed me my bag ans charged me $24 and LUCKILY I checked it because they had given me a WARM salad instead of soup. I asked them to please replace the salad with my soup that I had asked for.a very rude boy informed me that they keep the soup up front and they had already shut the front down so the soup would be cold. I asked him to simply warm the soup up and he told me it would take too long. I am assuming they just warmed my salad up and hoped I would drive off happy thinking it was soup? He then had someone claiming to be the manager come to the window to refund me for the soup they were not willing to give me and gave me $20 for the rest of our meal instead of the $4 for the soup..? This entire place needs to be cleaned out and replaced with people who care a little bit more about the job they signed up for. Its Panera Bread how do you run out of soup..ALL soup? And if thats the case, please tell me at the window, NOT give me a WARM salad and call it good. Not okay by any means.
