Used this location twice to deliver food, and it was good both times. Sometimes getting food delivered to a sick relative from half a country away can't be beat. The first time we ordered via Grubhub so was able to take advantage of some promotions and offers, but this time, the same family feast wasn't available on that platform, so went to the Panera website, where it is still available. It comes with a salad (caesar was the choice), a quart of soup (chicken noodle), a french baguette, and four sandwiches from a limited selection. I ordered Bacon Turkey Bravo, Roasted Turkey Avocado BLT, Chipotle Chicken Avocado, and toasted steak and white cheddar. After mandatory tip, convenience fee, and tax, it came out to $56.43 so about $15 per person which isn't too bad. I recently visited Panera Bread and completed a "Pick Two" order. I choose the Chicken Caesar Salad and the Chicken Cordon Bleu Blue Melt. When I got home, and looked at my sandwich it only contained ham. I am more than certain that the sandwich is supposed to have more than ham (according to the ingredients). This was my second visit to Panera today as my first choice in Allen was closed early without notice. Ordered the pick two, broccoli cheddar soup and the green goddess cobb salad with chicken with dressing on the side. Had a $5 coupon that expired today so I needed to use it up LOL. Most times when I order through the app, I get $1 off a sweet treat so I got the chocolate chip cookie as well. Got my food, everything looked great and I started eating the soup and realized it was chicken and rice, not broccoli cheddar. Went up to the counter and the very nice young man apologized and got the correct soup right away. I had the "Choose two" which was a caprese sandwich (a little too light on the mozzarella) and the 10 vegetable soup. Both were tasty. ATMOSPHERE: This location is clean and nice--well kept. Tables are bussed and the floors swept. Light and bright--good place to work on your laptop or read a paper. SERVICE: This location has very friendly cashiers and waitstaff. My family lives an hour away but have decided to meet once a month for family dinners. On this particular occasion I happened to be fasting so we chose Panera because they have a number of soups that I could have. The rest of my family had a variety of sandwiches, salads and soups and I requested just the broth from the chicken noodle soup. So my review is mostly about how wonderful and accommodating they were. The girl who took my order was cheerful and assured me it was no problem. My family ordered on an app at the table so there was a bit of a lag between the time my soup arrived and their food arrived. Fortunately, chicken broth tastes good no matter what temperature so I waited until they were served and it was delicious! Ordering from the app allowed for the entire family 2 kids and 2 teens and 4 adults to order without everyone standing at the counter in the front of the restaurant. After we ordered one of the staff came by with samples of danish which the kids scarfed up. We also celebrated my grandson's birthday which was that day. The staff was more than helpful when the food was ready and helped to serve and make sure everyone who ordered drinks got a cup. In short the service was excellent for a self service restaurant! The food was enjoyed by everyone so I am assuming it was good. Portions were large, my daughter's salad was huge and the bowl of soup was quite large also. This was our first monthly family dinner. With both of my kids and 5 grandkids living so far from me this gives me the opportunity to see my family more often without me having to drive so far. It's pains me to write this. I LOVE Panera. From the baked goods to the yummy salads and delivery service. We've ordered delivery from here almost weekly, and went on a hiatus, for a month or two, as we overdid it and just needed a break. Prior to this review, I'd rate it 4 stars. After today, I simply won't be returning to this location. Tonight (Saturday), I submitted my delivery order @ 5:55pm and the app stated an estimated delivery time of 6:25-6:35. By 7pm we still did not have our food, so I called to check. The man answering the phone said there was some mix up and they had to remake our food and it was being delivered as we speak. When I asked why I didn't get a phone call bcs they normally are good about calling if they are out of something or had a question, he said his priority was to remake our food. He eventually apologizes. 7:35 and I'm hangry!!! I called to cancel my order. The same man answers and goes "oh they aren't there yet?!" This location is 10 minutes tops to my house, so either he lied the 1st time we spoke or his driver is incompetent. Either way I just wanted a refund for my $60 order. The man stated"I'll cancel your order but we will still deliver it." Nice gesture but much too late. I declined as my son needed to get fed ASAP and get to bed. 7:55 the door bell rings. Nearly 2 effing hours late!!!! We're livid but muster up all human compassion we have left to not wail on this guy and simply send him away and tell him we don't want the food. I get Panera confused with Paradise Bakery a lot. The biggest difference for me is portion sizes; Panera is usually smaller portion sizes, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I've eaten at this Panera several times. To me, there's no distinction between them and anyone else except for their breakfast offerings. They have soufflés that are just phenomenal. My personal favorite is the spinach artichoke. It's crusty on the top yet creamy and silky inside. It's steep at 4.39, and yes, it looks awfully small for that price, but it is surprisingly filling. I e never eaten one and still been hungry. This location is very clean, very well laid out and has a nice book reader vibe. That's usually what I do here; I go to Half Price Books then come here to read. The staff is very friendly and all in all it's worth a stop in. read more

We really needed a good meal and this experience did not help us get through that emotional day. We will never go back to this location.
