Me and my family ordered food here. I got French Onion soup here, and it was awful. It was bland, disgusting, cold, and had no cheese on top. I ordered cheese on top. It tasted like my dog's diarrhea. The service was okay. Food took no time to be ready but at the same time it was cold and not very good. I took a bite into my bacon Mac and Cheese and I was mad and disgusted at it being very cold and not even warm. Had to microwave it. Bread was good and the people were nice. Overall it isn't exactly 1 star quality but I would perfer, well McDonalds. This was overpriced mediocre quality food and awful soups and horrendous French onion soup. read more

Typically I love Panera and they show care and concern with their rapid pick-up orders. I have no idea what happened today but this salad utterly disgusted me. Not sure who thought it was ok to serve the radicchio stalk to a customer but this is pretty pathetic. Needless to say I'll be finding a new lunch location. read more

I'm giving 3 on the account that I've been here before and have had pleasant experiences. Today the staff was a bit lazy and rude. There was a group of elderly struggling because they couldn't finish mixing their coffee due to the fact that all the creamers were empty. The sugar was low. The lady went up to the cashier to ask for a restock and she kind of just stood there. Personally the cashier was very friendly towards me, but I had to wait for a little bit to even get coffee so I went to get my food first. When I went to get my wrap the cook said "have a good day...." and as I'm walking away with a thank you he says "...or not". His coworker that proceeds to laugh and say "Did you just say or not?!" Pretty rude. Then I go get my coffee and there is still no creamer and the guy next to me gets frustrated picks up 2 of the creamer containers and takes to the same cashier and asks for more. Just not pleasant. Also I have attached a picture of the new wrap below. Really not a very appetizing wrap. I don't complain often but this was just not a chill experience. read more

I visited the Panera Bread on 198 in Laurel on yesterday. Gave my order. When I got home and took out my "Mediterranean veggie" it was clearly labeled "roasted turkey". I was very annoyed. I got up and drove back, spoke to the young lady who waited on me and then the manager, showed my receipt. He took the sandwich, opened it and stated he found a Mediterranean veggie. Then I became even more annoyed. They made me a new sandwich BUT no acknowledgement of their mistakes, no apology to me. VERY VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. It was just a mislabeled sandwich, but an error none the less, which caused me a lot of waisted time. A thank you for my business and an apology was in order, but I was sorely disappointed!!!!!! I hope this posting will help them to see what should have happened and they make a change. read more

Only stopped in because I wanted something in my stomach before tackling the wine and whiskey tastings at Total Beverage half a block away. The bagel was OK, the coffee was stale, and despite their hipster pretensions, my gluten intolerant friend was out of luck. Next time I'll search Yelp for a nearby alternative. read more

This is one of our "we want something fast and fairly healthy" places. I really like this Panera because they always have a great staff who is friendly and seems happy to see you come in. They work fast, and the place is clean. As busy as this Panera is I am impressed with keeping it clean. (extra star) I don't usually do the pastries and stuff, but it is all pretty good stuff. We all know that none of it is made fresh in the store, but it is good quality pre-made. I like sandwich's and Panera has some really good ones. The chipotle chicken is my favorite. I also like their soups and salads (always get dressing on side). My one complaint recently was when I tried the Roasted Turkey & Avocado BLT. I opened my sandwich to see what I was getting and it was mostly what I was expecting, modest pile of turkey, fair amount of lettuce, 2 strips of "bacon", a nice slice of tomato, and a little too much mayo. The bad was the avocado (important enough to be in the name of the sandwich) was literally a piece the size of the fingernail on my pinkie. The manager did not fight me too hard on it, but also seemed to think that is the serving size. (-1 star) I will stick with my chipotle chicken I guess. read more

This panera is very close to my house so I go here all the time. A new one opened on rt 1 not too far from here. I'm not sure if they took staff with them or what but since the other one opened this one has gone way downhill. One of the very sweet managers noticed I'm a regular and thanked me for remaining loyal. I didn't have a heart to tell here there's a reason people are skipping over them and going to the new location. They almost always get my order wrong these days. They forget something either the bread or croutons for my soup or they don't put plastic ware on my bag and sometimes they get my order downright wrong. Last time we went we ordered 4 breakfast sandwhiches only three came out and they argued with me till I showed them my receipt. There is some staff there in the morning that obviously don't want to work. one guy clearly didn't want to make my coffee so he went and stood by the machine took out milk clearly stalling till the chick finished ringing up the next customer then told her to make my drink he had calls to make. Hmmmm waste my time and make me feel like you don't care about my business? I think I'll skip this location and go to the one on rt 1. It might be a couple minutes out of my way but they might get my order correct and they won't try to get out of serving me. I kept thinking it was just a one time thing and other staff would be different but this place has really gone down. Panera with your calorie loaded bread and temping bakery is one of those things I just have to stop and enjoy every once in a while. After carefully consulting my "Eat This, Not That" book of course. I like this location because: its clean, its quick, the soda machine is never flat, they have caffeine free diet coke, plenty of parking, outside seating if I so desire, and convenient when I'm running errands. I go for the pick-two with the Asian Chicken Salad and cup of chicken noodle soup. Fills me up, doesn't cost too much, and gets me in and out in 15min. Consistent and efficient. What isn't to like for a good, mostly healthy lunch? read more

I placed an order ahead of time using the Panera app. I guess they don't pay attention to the system that tracks online orders, because when I arrived 15 minutes later my order wasn't ready and when I asked several of the Panera employees about it they seemed confused. They finally started making the order, which entirely defeats the purpose of ordering ahead of time using the app. Our food was cold but tasted decent enough. Was bummed when I was informed that Panera stops selling breakfast at 11:30am, obviously not this location's fault, so we ordered lunch and were helped in a timely manner. We also received our food very quickly and had plenty of space to sit. Would certainly frequent this location again. read more

I'm in the process of relocating from Bladensburg to North Laurel. Therefore, I have no food at my new place. This is why I give Panera 3 stars: 1) I have to stop here before I start my 30 minute trek into DC every day! Why? Because in addicted to the whole grain egg, cheese and ham samich! And I absolutely have to get a bowl of chicken noodle soup for lunch. It's like I have OCD. 2) The service is fast and friendly. 3) I'm obsessed with the pretty little lemon slice they serve with the lemonade. Yes, chik-fil-a has the best lemonade outside of WaWa. But I love that little lemon slice! Call me wierd but I'm a sucker for presentation. 4) I hate their soy chai latte! It tastes like potpourri in a cup. So minus one star. Love this place. It shows the calories so I can choose what I want to fit in with my desired calorie range of the day. Their soups and salads are awesome. Service is always fast. And the specialty drinks are as good, if not better than that other place known for good coffees. Only thing that could make this better is a little "spirit" in the drinks for us adults. The environment is warm and welcoming. This one is in Laurel by Kohls and isn't over crowded, so it is the perfect place to get a reluctant teenager to do his work. No distracting TVs and available Internet connection to research or for this mom to play on facebook while keeping a watchful eye on son to ensure homework is being done! Oh, and their delicious cookies are great motivators, or bribes when the homework progress slows. Finally, it is nicely set up to accommodate both small and large parties. When you spend you bring your work with you, whether you are a student, a writer, or a really busy assistant like me, you always have a place you can go to to work away from home. For some this place is a library, for others, its starbucks, for me, it´s Panera Bread. I love coming here and ordering the Spanish Chicken stew or even a muffin while I work. They have a stable wifi connection, lots of outlets for your laptops and the atmosphere is quiet. I have never had a complaint about this place, the staff is always kind and never take too long to deliver your order and the whole building is clean from the dining area to the bathrooms. If you want to have the kind of work atmosphere I am talking about however, make sure to come before or after lunch as this place often fills up during those hours. read more

What you can you say about a national chain restaurant? It's predictable, it's close. You can choose something healthy if you want, because they list the calories on the menu, which is nice. Sandwiches are typically equal in size and appearance to whether they are to go or to eat in. My favorite is the Mediterranean. Salads that are "to go" are not as robust as "eat in" salads. Made a late Sunday evening run to Panera. I really didn't know where I was going to get dinner, but decided to eat moderately healthy. When they said they didn't have focaccia bread nor any french baguettes I should have walked back out the door. But, I ordered a bowl of soup with the frontega chicken sandwich with modifications due to allergies for my husband. No focaccica so it went on ciabatta bread. I also ordered 1/2 BLT roast turkey avocado sandwich grilled and a cup of soup, I should have said pick two. The cashier didn't prompt me that it would be cheaper to order it that way. Or I could be wrong about it being cheaper. I think I was distracted by the bread items they didn't have. My meal ended up being just as expensive as my husband's. Oh well, on to the taste of everything. My sandwich was poorly constructed with turkey that was not uniformed. I had a chunky ball like piece and I think two strips of turkey with two pieces of bacon that could easily be one piece cut in half. The sandwich was flavorless, and I was truly disappointed. The only redeeming factor of my meal was the cheddar broccoli soup. It would have been even better if they had the baguette instead of a slice of sour dough bread. I guess they used the last ciabatta roll for my husband's sandwich, I assume. Again, I know it was late, but I spent almost $26 for the meal. read more

Every time I go my service is always quick and polite. The food is great. I love their Caesar salad and their green tea is great! It's not overly sweet like so many places. The store itself is always very tidy and clean. If I'm in the mood for a salad close to home then this is the place. The prices are fair also. read more

I love Panera's Pumpkins muffins so I frequent between Corridor Market Place and Baltimore Ave locations maybe 5-10 a month. Within the past couple of months I have noticed, the Corridor Market Place location muffins don't taste the same. They are very hard at the top and a bit smaller in size. I continued to visit this location because it is the closest to my home but yesterday again I received two pumpkin muffins with very hard tops and the muffins were a little dry. I will be becoming a regular at the Baltimore Ave location going forward. read more

Arrived for the sole purpose of purchasing bagels. No everything bagels in the bins. No worries, I'll gladly make you a fresh batch. How many? Not a problem. Smiles on employee faces. An eagerness I've rarely experienced. The hubby and I went to lunch and when we returned, the bagels were being bagged. We asked them to slice the bagels for us. This was done immediately and for our trouble, we each were treated to a bagel on the house! Woot - it doesn't get any better that that!
