The smoothie machine was down and the lady said they ran out of all lemonade products. I asked what else they had to drink and listed off sodas and coffee products. I read their signage closer and ordered an orange juice which they did have. They were also out of the cheese in my breakfast wrap so they subsituted a cheaper kind, no discount offered. The lady in front of me who had already ordered a smoothie to go kept asking for a refund, but had to wait 15 minutes for the manager to get off the phone. This is probably the worse Panera I've ever been too and I've been to a lot. Today's experience....I watched a elderly lady waiting by the registers for about 8 mins while 3 employees were on the the other side in front of her chatting. She finally spoke up and asked "do any of these registers work". Then it took about 15 mins just for myself to get a sliced bagel. We used to love this Panera location. The last 2 times have been unpleasant. This morning we were "greeted" by a sullen expression and the person looked as if we were an imposition as she walked to the cash register. She refused to look up from the cash register as we tried to order. When I spoke, I spoke loudly and enunciated clearly. I know that masks make it difficult. She, however, did not speak clearly or even look at me until I repeatedly told her I could not understand her. In desperation, my husband went and stood right next to the counter and told her to speak up. It took three times of him repeating this until she would speak loudly enough to understand. We use this place pretty regularly for our catering needs and have been really pleased by their friendliness and the correctness of our orders on a consistent basis. The atmosphere is a traditional Panera with plenty of seating, warm colors as decoration, and a large counter where you order your food and come to pick it up. The service has always been incredibly friendly every time we call and stop by to pick up the items. Our bagels are always packaged correctly and awaiting us when we arrive. It's a nice touch that whoever checks us out always follows us to the car to help us carry out our order and holds a nice friendly conversation with us the whole time. I've also ordered my favorite chicken apple salad from here as well, which is gluten free. It was delicious as always. This location also informed me that Panera now has cookies as well! So...I 'had' to get a gf chocolate cookie just to test it..just to be sure its good. It was super nom. I'm usually a fan of Panera and this location is no exception. Love this Panera! I use online ordering because it's usually very busy. They always have my food ready when I arrive and I've never had an issue. Even when I did dine in and had to wait a while due to the amount of orders the manager gave me a free pastry for the wait. It was super nice! I love the chicken fontega panini which comes toasted. The combo of shredded chicken with melted fresh mozzarella and chipotle mayo is too good to pass up. I also highly recommend the everything bagels and sprouted bagels. Standing in line this morning took a lot longer than it should- I don't know what conversations they were having with the customers in front of me but they must have been riveting. It was finally my turn to order, but the woman working at my station didn't acknowledge me for several minutes and then decided her station was closed. A different employee decided to help me which I thought was considerate, but instead of taking my order kept making excuses for the wait- cut me off three times as I was trying to order my breakfast sandwich; had to repeat my order twice and remind her a third time that I also needed a drink. My mom and I used to frequent this place. We loved the fresh options and how careful they are with food allergies. However, the last 5-6 times we found they were out of bagel and bread choices. Today, they had only a few options and the sprouted grain and whole wheat bagels looked like I could knock someone out if I was inclined to toss it at them. Food is delicious when they get my order correct! This location gets my order correct, via their app, about 10% of the time. When they get it wrong, it's usually not (even remotely) on time or that it includes or lacks things in my order. Yesterday I requested no side, and they included chips. I tried to return them, and they said they couldn't accept them and I'd have to throw them out. They insisted I throw out perfectly good food because they couldn't get their order correct?! I had the best experience with the staff at this location. The food is just regular Panera food, if you've ever been to Panera it's the same as everywhere else. But we were helped by the nicest cashier who was so patient in explaining all the different salad dressings and toppings choices. I have vowed three times to never come back to this location. Maybe the fourth one will stick. 6 dollars for some chicken broth with three pieces of chicken 12 noodles and three carrots. The Greek salad and Italian sandwich were horrible. Both my sandwich and my wife's sandwich were put together like they were thrown together.
