Yummy! Definitely better than Subway's! I've had Firehouse Subs many times over the years, but this was my first visit to this location. I didn't live close to a Firehouse Subs at my last address so I had never bothered signing up for an account (& all my friends + coworkers often ordered for me at work lol). Now that I'm down the street from a Firehouse Subs, I signed up for an account and ordered online for pickup at this location, which came with a discount for first-time customers ($10 off, if I recall correctly). Understandably, my order was not ready by the time that I arrived, since I placed the order 5 mins before arrival. I didn't mind the wait since the restaurant was fairly clean and I was able to use their public restroom. The employee working on my order was nice enough to inform me that they were working on it, so I wouldn't be left guessing where I am in the queue, since a couple customers entered after me, probably waiting for their takeout orders as well. It took some time until my order was ready (probably just another 10 or so minutes) but waiting isn't a problem for me, as long as my order is made correctly. I didn't eat my sub immediately after I arrived home but by the time I opened it up a few hours later, I was very pleased to find that the bread was not soggy, my order was accurate since all my customization preferences were followed, and everything tasted delicious! I have passed this place several times before but never ate here. I decided to try it out because my favorite place was out of my favorite sandwich. I got the Italian which is buy one, get one free. Thought I scored a deal! The sandwich. Ohhh, the sandwich. Soggy, messy, dry meat, all at the same time. The Italian sauce is so sweet I thought they got the wrong dressing on the sandwich. I added olives. I found all six of them. The sandwich was just a disaster. I also ordered chips. None were found. While I get that restaurants expect the drivers to pick the chips up, if I ordered and walked in on my own, I would think staff would say "Chips are on your side, just pick out the ones you need" My husband pre-warned me before the order arrived (unfortunately the order was already made on the app and it was too late to cancel) but I had hope it wasn't so bad because it came straight to us and the place had been in business for quite a while. I remembered when I was working on a show for A&E and one of the cast members insisted I drive them over to Firehouse Subs for a sandwich. Sis and I have been trying out different sub sandwiches and she wanted to try one that was new to her, so we came here. She is in love with the Italian combo with vinaigrette and puts it at the top right next to Meconi's. Me, I'm not crazy about it. I got a tuna which I felt was a little too sweet (I had asked for extra mayo and some relish and I guess the server thought I meant extra relish too, so that's my mistake). The place is crazy clean. Even the restroom is meticulously clean. I'm wondering though if it's clean because there was barely anyone there, and they have a gigantic dining area so it felt empty. The workers were close to closing so they were tidying up, but they were nice about it. I'll definitely try this again, but at a busier time to see if the ambiance improves with a crowd. read more

The food I just ordered from here was AWFUL. I am not one to leave reviews honestly, but I am so taken aback by the level of quality of the food I just received. I ordered the new French dip, the bread was sopping wet and disintegrating, the meat was disgusting and the au ju was just as gross. I quiet literally could not even take one bite of this and threw the entire thing away. I will never return here to spend my hard earned money. The subs are amazing but the customer service is lacking. We called ahead of time to take our food home since it was a late night. We ordered two sandwiches, macaroni and chicken dumpling soup. Our daughter is picky so we thought she might enjoy the dumpling soup. When we got into the car we were excited for her to try it so we opened it and it was just liquidy broth and one dumpling. I took it back inside and the lady said "it's just because it is the end of the night". They did get us more from the back and it was thick and full of dumplings and veggies. We are thankful they fixed it and thankful we checked before we got all the way home with a cup size (we ordered bowl) of broth. read more

It took another set of people to come in and ask me if I'd been helped yet and for me to respond that "I hadn't even been acknowledged," for the staff to look up and say it will be a few minutes. This place is horrible! I've never been here before today. My wife raved about it. I ordered at 7:28pm for a pick up at 7:50pm. I went in at 7:40pm and they said they were making them. At 8:10 I got restless as I had to go back to work. I don't have time to wait endlessly for food. If you tell me 7:50 pm be somewhere in the ballpark. When I finally had to leave for an important appointment I asked for my money back. They said, "it's only going to be 4 minutes". I said, "4 minutes"? He said, "no 10". I said, "I just want a refund". He said, " We can't do that. You have to do it online as you ordered online". There is no where on the app to ask for refund. What a horrible experience. The employees today told us we can't sit inside and eat when it was only 8:10PM 6/10/23 (you guys close at 9PM) we insisted on sitting inside because it was only 8:10PM the girl helping us rolled her eyes and kept walking away as we were speaking with her. First time in Firehouse on this beautiful sunny day. We were greeted right away when we walked in. You walk up to order then have a seat. I tried their turkey bacon ranch as a small, and I wish I got a medium it was so good! There was plenty of meat and my sandwich came with a fresh crunchy pickle. It came out timely and everyone was working so hard. The restaurant has plenty of seating, and it was clean! There were a few families that came from a fastpitch game and they put together a few tables to enjoy their meals together, so sweet! Overall great first impression, it was a nice environment! Food was good but the owner could use some customer service classes. When we went there they were overwhelmed with the shortness of staff. I understand. It's kind of a recurring theme everywhere. Food was terrific. Sandwiches are very good-sized with quality ingredients. These guys were hopping as the game was just letting out, it was dinner time and we're still in COVID take-out-only times, but they worked well together. I had a small issue with my order and filled out the survey and was responded to personally by the owner. I really like this place! It's my second time coming here. They have a variety of things that you can't find at another sub place. Like for instance here you can make any sub a meal and add soup,salad, Mac and cheese or a few other options besides just chips. The turkey,bacon and ranch sub was delicious. Years ago I ate at a FHS in Florida and it was a flawless meal. I have been waiting years for them to come to the area and finally stopped in today to relive that experience. Unfortunately, there were out of chili, so I had to rely on the sandwich alone. I'm sure I had something close to a club before, but this time I had turkey alone. I recall much more meat on the previous sub, but maybe that is because it wasn't a single meat sub. I also like my subs cold and not toasted and forgot that they served subs hot by default, so I found myself with a style of sub I would never order. If I make it back, I would try a signature style sub, ensure it's not toasted and arrive earlier enough to put some chili on the side. All in all, it was a great deal, for $8, I got a medium sub, large soda and bag of chips and despite the sandwich falling far short of my memories, it still bested Subway, but was not bold or cold enough to best Jersey Mikes. read more

When they don't mess up our order (which at one point was about 3 out of every 4 visits), they are giving off a terrible attitude. Took my boyfriend here for the first time since I've been raving about how good the subs are for a while. I asked for a sub, half with Mayo and olives and half without. The sandwich came out after 20 minutes with half of a side with Mayo, other half with olives. Plenty of staff and there was four other people in front of us. Large selection of hot sauce number by level of heat. A wall separating the public from the staff. Personally this is a down side as I can't see my food being made. They show lots of support to our local fire departments and lots of bragging about how much is donated. They even had a card you could sign for first responders ( it looked like to those who were working on Christmas, but it was past Christmas) Let me start out by saying ima picky eater however my wife is not. We both however love our subs. This is the last sub shop we haven't tried in Lacey Olympia area. No one really greeted us as we tired to figure out what we wanted. They were all busy so it seemed. My confusion comes later. Prices weren't the best but her we had $25.00 gift card and we already got drinks at a gas station. (on average for a combo two medium subs your over that price) I decided on the steak sandwich no sauce with LIGHT onions and no peppers ( remember I'm picky). My wife choose the turkey bacon ranch no tomato's and onions. We had the boy ring us up. And sat and waited. We waiting for about 5 minutes until they called out name. We ordered to go and came home. We opened our food. I opened my sandwich and to my shock there was more onions then meat and light peppers. Basically I paid 8.00 for onions some cheese and like two tablespoons of meat per half sandwich. Lucky for me they were big enough to pick off however as that being 70% of my sandwich I was left with one full bite of steak and bread. As the cheese went with the onions. Now, I'm used to people screwing up my order as I'm picky. This is really what slammed it home for me, was the pickle they give us tasted like it was sitting all day. ( wife's was the same) My wife sandwich. It was made correctly she opened her sandwich to find that her turkey was barley on there and the bacon was basically all fat. Her sandwich was mostly lettuce ( roughly 70%). After two bites her meat was gone per side she tossed the rest. Both of us ate what we could and 30 minutes later we are still hungry. Final thoughts: they need more meat in their sandwich. No ones wants more veggie then meat. Certainly no one wants more onions then meat. Hot sauce is cool but that is about the only thing they bring more then over sub shops but most sub shops don't hide behind a big wall. This cuts your staff from greeting your customers and brings more things open in general. I support that ability to support the local fire departments. I'd rather just give them money my self then risk the integrity of my meal. read more
