Today I placed an order and about a half hour after the expected DELIVERY time, still haven received it. The Southport Road location is the worst Panera ever. They only get the order right about 1/2 the time. They are frequently are out of regular options, and they put the meat on the sandwiches in one big blob in the middle instead of spreading it out. I'm not reviewing them based on the taste of their food (a little foo foo for fast food for me), but as a picker upper of lunch for the girlfriend. She got some pick 2 thing for lunch. It came with some foo foo looking salad and some sandwich. She also got an M and M cookie, but we'll talk about that cookie later. I have been a regular early morning visitor of this location for some time. I am normally willing to wait in the lines because of the quality of the baked goods. However, I regret that for the last couple of visits, one particular associate has been not only incompetent but this morning rude. I ordered to large coffees and a small loaf of sesame bread. She handed me to small coffee cups and proceeded to slice a sesame bagel. When I corrected her that I had ordered a small loaf of bread, she frowned and let out a long loud sigh. ( No apology). She proceeded to get a large loaf of the bread instead of a small loaf and started to slice it. I notified another associate of the situation and saw her groan and frown when her associate handed her the small loaf. Again no apology when she returned and corrected the order on the register. Panera Bread is a place of quality and should seek improvement objectives for employees not willing or able to perform in an acceptable manner. read more

This is written based off a large catering order. I called the day of the order needing 25 boxed lunches within the hour. I cannot complement the branch enough for accommodating this order. They also have two liters with saved another stop and less to fill out on an expense report later. The sandwiches were all prepared to order, salads with the dressing on the side and assortment of ships and cookies to allow people to trade for their favorites. I've visited several different Paneras & this one is by far, the worst. Due to the nasty tables, I was apprehensive as to the cleanliness of the kitchen where our food was prepared. We visited around 5pm, the place was pretty empty & all the tables were dirty. The place seems to be ran by teenagers, as I didn't see one adult the entire time we were there. The employees were rude, if you hate your job THAT much, please for the sake of the rest of us, find another job. We will never be visiting again, which is unfortunate as its very close to our home, but I would rather drive to another Panera. read more

Nice meeting place, smells great every time you enter. Service is great, they don't act as if you are irritating them when a mistake is made and they have to remake your food. Friendly environment. The wifi kicks you off after a few hours but if you log in again you can use it for a while longer. That's the only negative. read more

To be honest I've never had bad Panera food. All the locations I used to go to in Florida were consistent and delicious. As I've recently returned to the Indy area, I've been frequenting this location and I must say that it's the best customer service I've ever received from anywhere whether it be food, clothing, a car dealership, I mean anywhere! I can recall two times when I was just astounded by the service. The first time I chose the drive through after work because I was tired and wanted to get home and eat. I'd order a mac and cheese, a broccoli and cheddar soup, and a bread bowl, I was feeling hungry! I check my bag as I'm pulling back into traffic and I notice I have a salad instead of mac and cheese. I go back and wait in a long line patiently to exchange the salad for a mac and cheese. I get up there and I assume one of the managers helped me out because he was wearing business casual clothes rather than an apron or any other Panera uniform attire. He immediately went back into the kitchen and had it fixed right away and brought it back to me. He smiled and offered a cookie or any pasty item for my inconvenience and I said "No thank you, I'll just take my Macaroni" he asked are you sure, it's free food and joked around a bit. I finally said yes and got a chocolate chip muffin and he apologized for the mix up. I told him that I completely understand that these things happen and it's not worth getting worked up about. He threw in a couple extra muffies and said that Most people aren't that nice and usually don't react the way I do and it was refreshing to see that. It was the best experience I've ever had because he was so nice about it and did everything in his power to fix the situation. The second time was also with the same manager and also in the drive through. I had to wait a few minutes for them to cook my order. And he came out with an extra piece of bread and said it was because I had to wait longer in the drive through. And honestly it couldn't have been more than two minutes at the window. Whoever this manager is needs a raise for his outstanding customer service and making this one of the friendliest food places in the area. I am not much of a Panera fan, but this is where my wife wanted to stop. The inside was quiet, clean and relatively empty of customers. The staff were courteous and our food was delivered quickly and as ordered. They appear to have wi-fi available as well. I recommend the place for those interested in their menu selection. read more

I've not been to a Penera Bread but always felt it was upscale and yuppified. It is certainly the latter but only upscale in price. This Greenwood location was a dump. The trash bins were filled to the brim and there was crud all over the drink station. I knew the prices were going to be high but I expected cleanliness. Don't bother with the touchscreen ordering, it takes longer. When I arrived, there was a line out the door, I used the touchscreen thinking my to go order would be processed faster. NOT. I waited and waited and waited. People who came in after me and waited in line got their food before I did, both eat in and take out. There was no one waiting for food at the counter, but there were 4 names including mine on the "fast pickup" screen. I had to ask one of the girls at the cash register to see what had happened and to get my food. If they are going to have a "fast pickup" option, how about making it actually faster (or at least as fast) as waiting in line? read more

One of my favorite restaurants around. Panera Bread does a fantastic job of creating such a laid back atmosphere while still serving fantastic food. The broccoli and cheddar soup and sandwich combo is my favorite. The wait during lunch time can be on the long side, but the food is definitely worth the wait. A must try! read more

My favorite sandwich at Panera is the Cuban. Normally I don't like sandwiches with pickles but this one wouldn't be as good without them. I really like it with tomatoe soup. Their tomato soup is great. Their baked goods are wonderful too. I have been to several Panera's in different states and all of them have been wonderful. The employees at all of them have also been wonderful. If you like tea their ice tea is really good. This location is the only one I have been able to get sweet tea. The others only have plain. I like light lunches, so a salad and a sandwich sounded good. I ordered my selection, and once I got over sticker shock, continued to find a seat and wait for my buzzer to go off. Got my food, sat down, and noticed they forgot cheese on my sandwich. No biggie, went to the counter, and asked for cheese. I kid you not, this man handed me a Kraft single! Though Panera always provides fairly good food, the quality of the service, at this particular Panera Bread, is not great. I go here often and I typically enjoy what I order; however, my order, is almost always messed up. And while I know customer service can be rough and while I give them the benefit of the doubt, I am nonetheless frustrated with this location. Panera Bread is almost like an abusive relationship, I love the food and keep going back, but the store, this location, in particular, keeps letting me down. For example, while ordering a sandwich, one in which I order often, I let the cashier know I have a dairy allergy and cannot have cheese, but maybe one out of the dozens of times I've been at Panera Bread, they remember this small detail in my order. I am honestly to the point where I do not even want them to remake it if messed up. In addition, one morning for breakfast I ordered two slices of toast along with a small cup of peanut butter. I paid the polite woman and was told to wait at the other side of the store where people receive their food. After about 20 minutes of playing on my phone and watching people behind me get their food, I asked the woman behind the counter about my order. She was confused and said there was no ticket for that specific order.
