Second time trying this location. Food was delicious, our server was fast and friendly. It's a family-friendly restaurant and it was a calm and welcoming environment. It wasn't too busy when we had brunch and it was not chaotic. Would recommend the meat omelette.

Cutest little breakfast/brunch/lunch place near my in laws house. Finally a decent spot for when we visit. The coffee bar is legit. They have all the fancy drinks and the regular ones. They have a bar too, so you can get adult beverages with your brunch. The outdoor patio looks great for a bigger group on the nicer days. Overall service was attentive and prompt, Shawn thought of everything before we even asked. They make freshly squeezed OJ and their own biscuit. They get a rare 5 from me. We will be back.

Found a great local breakfast spot minutes from our hotel. Walked in with a 30 minute wait ahead of us, but luckily found a couple spots at the bar which is first come first serve. A sizeable menu with many unique dishes. The staff was very helpful with suggestions as so many dishes sounded wonderful. I chose the surfer girl omelet. It was delicious and I'd definitely recommend it. The potatoes looked ok, but tasted great. Service was wonderful and relatively quick. We enjoyed our meal and time sitting at the bar. There is a TV there as well to provide a bit of entertainment. A nice open restaurant with additional patio seating. Parking is in a shared lot with about 10 businesses. Was pretty full, but we found a space right away.

Gluten free Classic French Toast with a side of Side Canadian Bacon(4pc)

We met part of our family out for a late breakfast this morning. It was good! I was most impressed with the gluten free options. I got the gluten free classic French toast and it was amazing. Going gluten free due to health issues can be extremely hard on a foodie girl such as myself. It was great to get something besides eggs and bacon. As far as the rest of the family went, no real complaints. Someone got a stack of pancakes and they looked fluffy and amazing. Someone else got the steak and eggs which was good. Someone else got the breakfast lasagna which came with a cream sauce several relatives weren't so crazy about, but no complaints there either! Will definitely be going back to try that gluten free breakfast casserole I kept eyeballing!

French toast and bacon from The Mad Platter

Met some friends here for brunch and had a nice experience. We all seemed to enjoy what we had, but portion sizes left us all wanting a bit more, especially for the price. The Mad Platter had the option of a pancake or French toast, but you only get one each, and neither are as big as you'd expect based on what we saw/got. The prices of sides also seemed pretty steep given what you got. Last gripe about the prices, you have to pay an extra $3 for 100% maple syrup. I appreciate that it's an option, I'd just assume it would be included with whatever meal you choose. Away from all of that, the food itself is good, no real complaints there. We also really liked the atmosphere, in particular the eggshell light fixtures. Those were a nice touch, and obviously on-theme. The staff was friendly, too. Definitely worth a try if you're on the south side and looking to mix things up in the morning.

It took 3 trips for us to actually get in, but I ended up making reservations on their website just to make sure we got in this time. All of the staff were super friendly, including our server Sean. It's super cute on the inside, with egg-shaped decor everywhere and light, beachy colors. It's on the smaller side, maybe 30 tables overall. We started with the baked apple shareable. It was delicious and super fresh. I went with the chilaquiles for my entree. It was good but the breakfast potatoes were the star for me. Initially my brother ordered the breakfast lasagna, but they had just run out before we ordered. We were there around 11 so that may be something you have to order early in the day before they run out. He had the potato head casserole instead, which was still delicious. I also liked that they brought a carafe of coffee to the table so you can just refill as you like. I'm sure we'll be back!

Picture was taken 1:23, but we left at 1:37 because no one came back to get our order or bring water.

Well, my bf haircut was at 1215, we didn't know the traffic would be horrendous so when we pulled up it was 1:17pm...when we walked in we apologized for coming in late close to your closing time but the young lady Callie (not sure spelled right) reassured us it was ok. So we asked to sit outside she made the comment that yes she didn't have anyone in her section so we happily said we'd sit there. She sat us down with the menus then said she'd be back with silverware...we sat there for a good chunk of time and by then my bf said it's close to closing nevermind they'll probably hurry cook the food and it'll be not that good, so we left and when I looked at my clock in car it was 1:37pm. Don't get me wrong I get that it's not ideal but definitely wasn't going to order much and also if it was a big deal they could have told us nicely or anything communicating would have been good and appreciated. I enjoyed the welcoming but she didn't follow through with coming back as she said she would. I also know people get busy which is fine but again communication is key. We probably just stick to the brunch places downtown. And no need to reprimand the young lady, it's not what this is about, just wanting her to know that we waited but we were ready to order, eat and leave. My bf unfortunately was tired for he works night shift and needed to just eat and get home get to bed so no worries about Callie, her energy and welcoming was nice. I just hope she doesn't forget about others.

Went to try the new place Wild Eggs that took over the old Newks. We're always looking for good breakfast/brunch spots so we were really excited to try this place at 7:30 AM on a Saturday. It's so cute inside! All of the light fixtures and decor is egg themed which I thought was really cute. The menu is decent sized and had all of the usual suspects. I opted for the biscuits and gravy with both bacon gravy and chorizo gravy on the side with homes fries and hubby got the bacon city 4 egg omelette with mornay sauce and rye bread. The home fries were a home run. Seasoned and served piping hot and crispy. The biscuits were the hardest biscuit I've ever had in my life. The waitress did try/ want to make it right but after having an old hard yucky biscuit bite (actually 3 because I was trying to find a decent spot) I just didn't want them. The gravy wasn't great either. The bacon gravy had hardly any flavor and wasn't hot. The chorizo gravy wasn't hot either. Hubby is a type 1 diabetic so we made sure to ask if there was sugar in the Mornay sauce for the bacon omelette. Our waitress was really great and she went and asked the kitchen and we were told no there was no sugar in the mornay sauce but his sugar shot up and stayed high for hours even after taking extra insulin. Maybe extra sugar in the rye bread? No clue but he wasn't able to eat lunch after. Maybe it's just because it's still new that the food was not great. We will give this place another try but probably wait a couple months for the new cooks to get some time under their belts.

Service was great the server was friendly and attentive. Had the cinnamon roll which was great, icing could have been warmer, ordered a side of bacon, not sure what I just ate, maybe cardboard or plastic but definitely not bacon. I've never eaten something with no flavor, today I did. Fix the bacon that's a staple of any breakfast place. The table was comfortable and had good views. Thanks

I cannot express how excited I am to have Wild Eggs on the south side. They just opened and they are doing phenomenal. Despite being super busy we were seated immediately. Our server promptly greeted us. The coffee was hot and delicious as usual. Our food came out extremely fast and hot and everything was correct. Our server had already brought ketchup and hot sauce to the table just in case. Everything was so perfectly seasoned that we didn't need either of those items. I chose something I had never had which was the buffalo chicken omelette with grits of the day (sausage and cheese) and a blueberry muffin. If you like buffalo chicken dip you'll love this. The omelette was fluffy and light. There was a decent amount of chicken inside. The hot sauce and cream cheese pair nicely with the chicken. I can't wait to come back for this item again. The grits were good as usual and the blueberry muffin is the best I've ever had. Hubby ordered the Kelsey's KY hot brown as he loves getting them when we go to Louisville. The Mornay was absolutely delicious and there was plenty of turkey. The only complaint was the bacon was undercooked it would be better if they put it on top so it would be more crunchy. It doesn't come with anything else so he added on a side of the grits of the day and a blueberry muffin. I never went in the old restaurant that was here which was Newks. But the inside is super clean and very modern. They put little touches to everything including the lighting fixtures. They are shaped like a broke egg shell. Definitely stop in and give them a try.

Courtney C was our server and the poor girl must be brand new. She was completely confused when asked about substituting an item on the menu. The floors were dirty (food, straw wrappers, crayon boxes) left under where the booth seats are. We tried it and highly doubt we will be back.

Decided to try a different breakfast restaurant in Greenwood today and I'm glad we did. I think it may be my new favorite breakfast go-to. Parking was easy in the lot right in front of the restaurant and we got it and seated right away. I was a weekday but I'm guessing on the weekend it's probably pretty busy. Inside it is spacious and inviting. I believe they serve breakfast, brunch and early lunch. Our server was friendly, attentive, and helpful with the menu. We said when we first ordered that we were on a bit of a time crunch but we got our food promptly and no trouble finishing on time. We both had their coffee of the day which had chocolate, whipped cream, and peppermint sticks on top. I was quite tasty. They do have other coffee concoctions also and you can make them boozy too which was surprising. I had their gravy and biscuits which were delicious. They make their gravy with bacon-yum. My husband had the California Benny with fried potatoes on the side. He said it was fantastic. Think we will have to return and try some brunch or lunch.

We started with the small biscuit board, which was really good--though a homemade jam would take it to the next level. I had the Vanilla French Toast and it was fantastic. My daughter ordered the bagel sandwich, which was also amazing. But the real star of the meal was the breakfast potatoes. I'm usually not a big fan because they're often over‑seasoned or mushy, but these were hands‑down the best I've ever had. Perfectly seasoned, crispy, and honestly unforgettable. They had an online waitlist that we were very glad we opted for prior to heading over. The staff was top notch. There was also outdoor dining available and plenty of gluten free and vegan options. Our young waitress then rang in the wrong order for me. They brought out our food and my order was totally something else. She immediately said "that was my bad" and had to go change it. I waited while my wife ate her food. Of course there was no offer to discount our meal at all. We have eaten here over a dozen times and this was just terrible. Come on Antilogy, hire competent people. You can do better than this.

The restaurant itself is fine, your pretty standard strip mall diner vibe but with a Hispanic flair. The music is unobtrusive and it's easy to carry a conversation. The major problem we had was that the kitchen must've been understaffed because food was taking about an hour to come out even for the neighboring tables. The place did die down around 1pm which is when we were leaving so I would definitely recommend coming during off-peak hours. Food: Fresh squeeze OJ - love pulpy OJ and this had tons of it but the oranges just weren't quite at peak ripeness. 3/5 Pastor skillet - The skillet had good flavor with crispy potatoes, avocado, pineapple bits, and nice amount of eggs. The pastor unfortunately had quite a few gristly pieces that really detracted from the experience. 4/5 Tlacoyo - A classic central Mexican dish. It's a stuffed corn patty kind of like a pupusa which is more tortilla like. You can add nopales which is cactus and tastes like green bell peppers and a protein which I added asada steak to mine. I would recommend adding both to make it a nice filling meal. I got half-half red and green sauces as well and they're both delicious, pick green if you want mild and red if you like spicy. Definitely the winner of the meal here. 5/5 Overall, this place serves mid-tier food with great Hispanic twists on your traditional breakfast/brunch options. The salsas and proteins have authentic flavor although some higher quality cuts of meat would level this place up a bit. I would give this place another try but would definitely come at non-peak hours or a weekday if possible.

I gave a different review back when the company had a different name (Roots to Rise) - same ownership - and I hadn't been impressed with their coffee or açaí bowls. With the new branding, I figured I'd visit again & stick to juices. They quickly became my post-yoga stop on weekends. I would have went before work on weekdays but they aren't open early enough for that. Today after I ordered I was warned there were a few orders ahead of me. That knowledge before ordering would have been more helpful. Normally a 5 minute wait or so, I was guessing a 15 minute wait would be reasonable. I went outside listened to 3 songs, back in, still no drink, went back out- 2 more songs, back in, still nothing. Ordered at 11:15, drink was done at 11:51. I think good business would have been upping my size for free, or a coupon, or even a thanks for your patience. A simple, "Thanks," while kind enough, caught me off guard. Any gesture to recognize that wait was unreasonably long would have sufficed. The juice was still delicious, I can't lie. I don't know if it's staffing (2 employees on Sat. morning- no Now Hiring sign tho) or what, but if you are in any kind of time crunch, I'd probably avoid the wait. If you are on vacation time- by all means- go enjoy their offerings. I realize it's what comes with a small business, but also something to recognize an unusually long wait would also be a small business quality. I'm disheartened by this. Greenwood is very slack on fresh juice options, although I saw an Ever-Well going in on 31.

I haven't tried the Bananas Foster Waffle yet but it looks completely over the top and crazy with a scoop of vanilla ice cream that appeared to me to be the size of a softball as I was hypnotized by it and trapped in its vortex of apparent deliciousness, Sadly it was ordered and delivered to another table. My only nit-pic would be that the chef work on the scrambled eggs a bit more and not too cook them longer, but cook them slower so they come out fluffier, moist, and without any browning on the underside. A chopped up omelet is not scrambled eggs. The eggs were still good but there was room for improvement here. I realize the chef is trying to get food out as quickly as possible, and its easy to let scrambled eggs go too long on the heat, so maybe I'll mention it to the wait staff that the eggs do not need to be hurried. The wait staff was prompt and attentive, and the various style of PJ's were a nice touch. The front of house is kind of big so noise can be an issue but it wasn't terrible on my most recent visit with the dining room about 3/4 full. If the restaurant got enough complaints about the noise levels, it would be pretty easy to fix with some strategically placed sound abatement materials to cut down the noise level even further in the dining room.

We were greeted when we walked in. Great customer service. My complaint was that my hasbhbrowns…read morewerent seasoned, my grits were watery and the sweet tea wasnt sweet. My pancakes were a 10/10 though. The restaurant was clean.
