    2x2x2 breakfast.
    Matt H.

Went here for breakfast earlier today, not too bad of a place but not great either. I checked in on Yelp and started reading some of the reviews.... First, was not happy to see this is owned by flapjacks, not a fan of that place at all. Second, the pancakes were just as someone else have said hard and I'll add they were not even warm. The bacon and eggs were nothing to brag about as well. Now why am I giving this place three stars you ask? Well the service was actually great and all very super nice! Did not have to wait for food very long as I was very hungry. So far as I'm concerned, if they could get the food up to a bragging state then they might pull some better ratings. Until then might as well just call this place FlapJacks.

Arrived on Mother's Day, first time here. Good sized place. The system to wait for tables is very manual, the hostess just tries to remember who came when, so since it was busy, I saw other parties get leap frogged. I don't understand why she wasn't keeping a list on a busy day. Service was quick, friendly and efficient. I had eggs, pancakes, bacon hash browns, and coffee. The coffee was the best part, really good. Eggs and bacon cooked to order, well executed, hash browns were a disappointment, just bland. Pancakes were doughy, not fluffy. Prices are very reasonable for the amount if good. Decent breakfast, but that's about it.

You get three of these delicious crepes.

This is my first time eating here and I will definitely be coming back as the crepes are super delicious. The service was supreme. Nice clean place to.

Average food, usually get good service from the older waitress. Not my favorite breakfast place even though it's closest to my house.

Their country scramble is never a disappointment! No matter what you order you definitely get your money's worth for the portion size.

The cafe is now owned by Diane, Ann's daughter. The tables are packed tightly together, but we were happy to get the last seats in the house. Nostalgic photos of Franklin cover the walls. The place is loud but with a great positive energy. People are small-town friendly and talk between tables as they enjoy their biscuits and gravy. We cajoled with two regulars who told funny stories. Our server, Gill, was quick to the table and friendly. He checked on us several times to see if we needed anything. The menu is a mix of traditional breakfast options, sandwiches, salads and wraps. Prices are reasonable. Food came out quickly. My husband ordered their hand breaded tenderloin with fries. The tenderloin was massive with a great browned breading, served on a Kaiser roll. The pork was tender and juicy. It was a perfect tenderloin, worthy of the Indiana Tenderloin Trail. The hand-cut fries are lightly breaded, crispy and hot. There was an up-charge for the fries, but they were so good and worth it. It was rainy outside, so I had a bowl of the daily soup - broccoli cheddar. The soup was hot, thick, creamy with lots of broccoli and cheese and stuck to my ribs. My soup was served with packs of saltines. Free street parking is available if you're lucky to grab a spot. Well worth the drive to Franklin. Ps. They are closed Saturday and Sunday!

And he said the menu will expand again soon. Since I was by myself and he had some time, he sat down and we chatted for awhile. The seating at both restaurants, and you can call them that now since they do not just sell drinks anymore, has been greatly expanded both indoors and outside. He also told me they are working on opening a Plainfield location. I ordered my usual The Slugger on a biscuit for my bread choice (4) with sausage for my meat choice (3) and provolone for my cheese choice (5). It was superb and just how I remembered it from the other location when I was eating breakfast there several days a week about a year ago. I also ordered one Biscuit & Gravy which was excellent as well. I love small local business establishments and cooking. They always have great service and a friendly atmosphere. I was worried when we couldn't make any reservations, but we got right in - nobody was waiting, they weren't busy, but they did seem to be scrambling to find a server for us, which I thought was a little odd. After a weird start, the rest of the visit was fantastic - service was great, food was excellent, and we had a lovely time on a date night. Restrooms are on the first floor (an older review says the women's is downstairs in a creepy hallway, but this must have been renovated) and are single-occupancy and unisex, which is an interesting experience depending on who has visited before you -- this was probably the low point of the experience, that restroom could use some upkeep. Not just an unpleasant previous visitor, but structurally. For such a nice place, that part was sketchy. Definitely will be coming back overall.

We started with the small biscuit board, which was really good--though a homemade jam would take it to the next level. I had the Vanilla French Toast and it was fantastic. My daughter ordered the bagel sandwich, which was also amazing. But the real star of the meal was the breakfast potatoes. I'm usually not a big fan because they're often over‑seasoned or mushy, but these were hands‑down the best I've ever had. Perfectly seasoned, crispy, and honestly unforgettable. They had an online waitlist that we were very glad we opted for prior to heading over. The staff was top notch. There was also outdoor dining available and plenty of gluten free and vegan options. Great food, great drinks, and a fun brunch vibe. We'll definitely be back.

I know this because we were seated right next to the bar and she was asking another lady how to make it. This is supposedly a Bourbon bar and you don't know how to make a Manhattan? Our young waitress then rang in the wrong order for me. They brought out our food and my order was totally something else. She immediately said "that was my bad" and had to go change it. I waited while my wife ate her food. Of course there was no offer to discount our meal at all. We have eaten here over a dozen times and this was just terrible. Come on Antilogy, hire competent people. You can do better than this.
