Just had the weirdest experience. I mobile ordered a drink (nothing else) and when I pulled up to Panera I noticed they looked closed inside and were mopping so I decided to go through the EMPTY drive thru to grab my drink because the app said they are still open. I pulled up to the speaker and requested to pick up my mobile order of my large drink (no food). The employee proceeds to tell me she can't hand me my drink and I have to come inside to pick it up. She said it is against policy to hand a mobile order through the drive thru window and under no circumstance are they allowed to do so. This baffled me as literally no one was in the drive thru or inside and it was just a drink. Note: I have always picked up my mobile order drinks in the drive thru so this was unexpected and I wasn't dressed to go inside anyways. I work with individuals who are disabled so out of curiosity/advocacy I proceeded to ask a follow up question about how would they would assist someone who mobile ordered that cannot come inside and the answer was "they can't". This is problematic and needs to be looked at immediately but that's a whole separate issue. I asked if the policy changed recently about picking up mobile orders in the drive thru or is this just an isolated incident because I have always been allowed to get my drinks in the drive thru. She said this has "always been the policy since mobile orders started". I informed her this has never been the case, in my previous experiences at this specific location, and I have picked up at least two dozen drinks (Sip Club Member) in the drive thru prior to tonight. She said the manager said "that is simply incorrect and not true". This annoyed me but I said "Okay so then I just need to come inside and grab my drink to get my drink?" And she said "Well now the lobby is closed (It had just turned 9) so you can't." I said "Hmm, okay well then I'd like to get my drink here at the window" and she said "Like I said earlier you cannot do that. You would have to cancel the mobile order (which apparently no one can do) and place the order at the speaker". I reminded her I am a SIP CLUB member (which means free drinks and unlimited refills all day long-no limit) and she said "It doesn't matter, you will have to cancel the order first and then order at the window to get your drink". I asked her if they "could do it for me since the app doesn't let me" and she said "No we have no way of cancelling orders. You will need to call corporate to cancel". Getting frustrated I asked if she could "ask the manager to get my drink" and she said "I cannot and the manager just said for the fifth time No we are not allowed to". I said "that's ridiculous just forget it. Have a good night" and she paused and said in a lower voice "It's okay just come to the window for your drink this one time only". Super confused but ready to grab my drink and go I said "Okay, thank you!" and pulled up to the window. She handed my drink and leaned forward and said "My manager just saw me hand me your drink and now I am getting written up so thanks a lot I hope your f@#&#$ drink was worth it. Thanks for that!" and shut the window on me before I could respond. I tried calling the store for the next 30 minutes to talk to the manager and get their name but there was no answer.-----This entire scenario baffles me and I feel like I am ready to sever my ties with this ridiculously overpriced "fast food" chain with rude employees and imaginary "policies". read more

I waited almost 15 minutes in the drive through for 1 bagel! When I got to the window, I waited almost 5 min to pay then another 10 for the bagel. The girl that came to the window never said anything about the long wait. So, I said "that sure was a long wait for just 1 bagel" she smiled and said "I know" and then get this, she said "here's a cookie, I hope you like chocolate chip'" WTH!! Very disrespectful ! Three times in a row... Something as simple as a salad with the Fuji apple dressing.. Nope.. I receive a chicken Caesar salad... cant say no as it was delivered. This is by far THE best Panera location! The food is always fantastic and the staff is just downright wonderful! Martin, the manager, is the best. Even when I got my order incorrect, he made it right and didn't even charge me for MY mistake! Wow, what customer service! The place is always thoroughly sanitized and clean as well. They are animal friendly and welcome service animals no problem. They love coming to Panera as well. Second fav store is Menifee. Thanks for such a welcoming experience! Not only is the staff not enforcing the mask mandate for customers. They don't even bother to have a sign in the window. Also, how does a place that makes coffee drinks and lemonade have no straws?? Staff was wearing masks thankfully. Hope the health department fines them. We're in the middle of a huge surge right now in Covid cases. read more

Always SO good an amazing food!! Mac & Cheese is the best!! Got a Turkey sandwich... always change the bread! The bread it comes on is ewwwy! So EXPENSIVE! But sometimes it's worth it!!! Robert was amazing. I've stopped coming here as often due to them always being out of bread bowls (the only thing I eat here) so I decided to come today and thank god they had some bread bowls left :) . Regardless I received awesome customer service from this specific worker. He really isn't required to be as kind and personable with each customer but he is and when working in a town like hemet where a bunch of just terrible people are I was so happy to see such awesome customer service given and I wouldn't feel right to not write a review for him because HE DESERVES to be noticed and appreciated. Love this place at least you can eat inside now. I ordered a turkey, bacon. avocado sandwich with apple slices. Unfortunately no iced tea cook ended up giving me a glass of iced tea. None of the employees had noticed no iced tea in the drink dispensers. Thanks to me they were going to make some. The dark one at the end not labeled turned out to be iced coffee. One other thing that I have noticed at the restaurant if the customer removes the plates off the table the table doesn't get wiped down for the next customer. So I am leaving my dirty dishes on the table so that the table gets wiped down. read more

This was a really awkward and chaotic Panera to eat at. Also very time consuming. The cashier seemed new and probably should have shadowed under someone a bit longer for training. She didn't know what the options were for kids meals sides and wanted me to ask the food servers once the meal was made. She told me she "thinks" the total was "about" $18.77, while I was looking at the screen and it said total $20 something. She had to ask for help on how to ring up my gift card and so I decided to ask the second girl what the total was because of how she was "guessing" my price to pay, and it was in fact over $20 like the screen said, not what the cashier was guessing...it probably took well over 5 minutes to order and pay while people were standing behind me in line to order. The whole place looked like it was under construction and spotted some pretty big hazards. I'm not sure how the place was actually open for business. Paint spots were everywhere like something was in the process and the whole bench seat was lifted up, plus as pictured tile was showing where carpet used to be and the baseboards were peeled back. Not only did it look ghetto but I'm pretty sure these are some sort of health/safety standards. The original cashier was nice enough to clean our table and pick up the plates after which I don't really count as extra or great service but really the whole process and experience could have been A LOT better. And nice doesnt pay my bills but efficiency and great service is why I go out to eat. Also over $20 JUST for a you pick 2 - brocolli cheddar soup & mac & cheese plus a kids mac and cheese is crazy. No drinks or any extras just a kids mac (which appears to be the same size as "adult" mac) plus the 2nd mac n cheese and the soup and that's over $20. That's pretty crazy, Panera. read more

Selected Flatbread pizza Chipotle chicken. Broccoli mac and cheese. I only live about 5 minutes away from location. Pizza was cold, chicken spread only on one side of pizza, Panera should stick to breads. I was asked if I wanted small or large Broccoli mac and cheese, I requested large. Dissapointed as to the size of Large portion. For the price of $19+, not worth it. The quality and and quantity leaves a lot to be desired. STICK TO BREADS! read more

Great customer service, but some staff need more training on how to prepare the sandwiches . I ordered the same thing twice and both times it did not taste like advertised. I ordered the chicken avocado wrap, once I ordered with extra chicken, they charged me extra and gave me extra egg instead. The next time I ordered same thing this time ...no sauce. I had already left and arrived to my destination so I didn't go back, and I hate to do this in the drive thru but I know next time to check before leaving the window. read more

Rotten service! Called in my large order, waited in a super slow drive thru, only to get to the speaker box and be told that they don't allow phone orders to be picked up at the drive thru window. What the &%$@! The manager was contacted and said I had to wait for all the cars in front of me to finish, then park, and walk in. You've got to be kidding! That's the thanks I get for to calling ahead to try and speed things up??? I had a better idea. I really don't get this place, I have been here three times. The food is good and tasty, but way to expensive. It feels like you are paying restaurant prices without a restaurant experience, its more of a blend of restaurant and fast food. The staff is friendly and helpful. I don't really like coming here, but my other half does, so once in a while I give in. The menu seems a bit confusing to me, with their "choose two" option. I appreciate Panera bread coming to Hemet and opening a store in this black hole we call a town, but I just don't enjoy coming here. read more

We have been to this Panera bread quite a few times but after the last couple of times we have almost given up. We have now had multiple times were they are out of something we ordered and instead of telling us we just loose out on items and our told come back tomorrow and we will give it to you. I understand they cannot control items being sold out but they can however send another item to replace or refund that part of the order. I don't want to have to drive all the way down there to retrieve items. Very irritating. read more

This is the third time I've ordered something at Panera and NOT received my items. The app allowed me to order a baker's dozen bagels, including 7 jalapeno bagels. I paid for them. I got an email that the order was received, one that the order was delayed, and a third email that the order was ready. I showed up to the cafe to find that there were only 3 jalapeno bagels in my order. The store manager apologized and this time the area manager was there as well and also apologized. They didn't however, offer to try and change their system which apparently allows them to sell product they don't have. It also allows emails to go out about the order, but not one that states your items are NOT available anymore. I wouldn't have wasted a trip if I knew the items I wanted were not available. I posted about it online and got a message asking for the order number. I then got an email asking if someone could contact me by phone. That was ten days ago and I haven't heard a word. Chicken noodle soup had 2 noodles and was luke warm . I returned it and got new soup with 3 noodles and only filled half way with soup . This location doesn't have an espresso machine, so no hot drinks they also seem to always be out of bakery items.

I've really been enjoying the curbside pick up. The service is quick, my food is typically ready within 10 minutes and always delicious. The only negative thing I have to say is sometimes they forget silly stuff like utensils or the baguette but have no problem grabbing them for me. read more

Autumn Squash on Tuesday so thick and tasteless I had to toss it, today, Thursday Soba Noodle Bowl w/chicken...broth was black and flavor was not like the many others I have had in addition, after waiting a considerable amount of time at the window, I was asked to wait for additional amount of time in the parking lot...there was only 1 car behind me so not sure what the hold up. We visited this owners bread on a Saturday , less busy than other Panera's we've visited and I agree with other reviews ,not the cleanest (yet Not disgusting like the previous pictures posted on here). However the kitchen area looked clean and the manager was active and communicating with the employees. Employees were very friendly and our food was served promptly and tasted fresh &delicious. Yes the portions seemed smaller compared to other Paneras. (Hey less calories) Ample parking around the building and outdoor seating available as well. They have a drive thru. read more

This is my favorite place to have breakfast. It has a relaxing atmosphere and all the employees are the best. I enjoy the fact that you can eat and read or play on your tablet since WiFi is available. The lunch/dinner menu is extensive. My favorite is the Cuban sandwich. The soups are delicious. Favorites are chicken and wild rice and summer corn chowder. The pastries and cookies are mouth watering. Overall it's my favorite place to eat plus I've met some really nice customers and associates. read more
