Wanted some chicken soup this evening and, despite the negative reviews, decided to pick some up here. Location is a new development on Williams Field just west of Santan. Easy access. The restaurant itself looked modern, nice and clean but it did have an unpleasant smell ... not too strong but very noticeable. Maybe a dirty mop? Staff were VERY friendly. I'm afraid my experience was terrible. 1. I waited in the Drive-Thru for at least 20 minutes. 2. They were out of all the cookies. 3. When I got to the window they didn't didn't know what I ordered at all. 3. Then after waiting they gave me my order. The girl put the soup and a tall loaf of bread in a tall bag, when I took the bag from her it ripped and fell to the floor. 4. Then I drove off and discovered they forgot the bread bowl for the soup. I had to pull over, get out of my car and walk up to the window to get the bread bowl. 5. I had to tell 2 people the bread bowl missing in my bag. All this time they served 2 cars at the window.!!! Spinach bacon poppyseed salad is very good but comes in a large bowl that is less than half full. I asked if they mistakenly gave me a half salad (which I did order for take out earlier in the week and was the same size). Very small salad for almost $8 with no added protein. I ordered Curbside pickup and waited almost 10 minutes outside. I called and notified that I was outside and no one came out. So I had to go inside to get our food what's the point of Curbside? I got home and the food was a 2 out of 5. The soups were cold, meat thrown on top of the sandwich and apples for our side when we wanted bread. Really wanted to try the new flat bread pizza, as expected it said it would take about 10 minutes to make but it was ready in 3, pizza was a gross lukewarm/ cold and incredibly flimsy, I had to heat it up myself. It's way too expensive if you're looking for a quick personal pizza just go to mod or fired pie same price with actual quality ingredients. Super disappointed! read more

Some/most of the employees are super nice here. They really do a good job of keeping the place clean & checking in on you. My only complaint is that the last 3 or so times that we've come they've been completely out of breads or foods but still take my order as if they do have the items. For example: I ordered a brioche bread roll, "we're out". Asked for another soft roll, got sliced white piece customers next to ordered bread bowls. No stars..don't bother using curbside pickup. They will ignore your arrival even when you are the only customer! Tried calling..they disconnected the call without a greeting. Finally walked inside and was told the order was on the shelf so I walked over and picked up my `curbside order` as their only customer. I can see why no one else was here!! Poor service! read more

Since this place was gradually taken over from paradise bakery to panera, it has just been ruined. The menu options have become more limited and many of the best items are just not even available anymore (Chinese chicken salad wrap). This new location is just plain awkward to get to, and the inside was freezing cold. The staff said the system wasn't working right but didn't seem sure how to adjust it. The staff were super nice though. Back to the food though, nowhere near where it used to be when it was paradise. Panera needs to go back to form, this new menu sucks. read more

I love Panera bread! My favorites are the tomato soup and cranberry muffins. The service was great and the staff was uplifting! This seems to be a new location. The cleanliness and prompt service shows that this is a great location to come to! I will definitely be visiting again! read more

Maybe the reason they have installed kiosks to take the orders is because the actual person to person service is terrible. I went in the get loaf bread sliced. The girl behind the counter just pointed to the breads. I asked her if there was any french and she asked her manager who was standing there but didn't even bother to look up from her paper work. I chose the Focaccia and asked if it could be sliced they said yes and then bagged it up and charged me. Never said thank you, have a nice day or come back soon. Ordered Rapid Pick up Online, a Cesar Salad, it had no croutons and half the chicken was dumped into the bag.... a pick 2 of green goddess salad (avocado missing) and French onion soup (no croutons or cheese included), a kids Pb&j oozing all over the place and placed on top of the hot soup..... and a kids ham and cheese sandwich that wasn't cut and looked like a toddler made it... I'm glad I checked the bag for silverware because there was none... we usually really like Panera but will not be back to this location!!! My wife and I do everything we can to avoid this location. We prefer the Arizona and Ocotillo location. My latest mess with this place included the manager coming out to tell me they ran out of the bread I already dosed for as I am type 1 diabetic. I received a $20 gift card for Christmas. I walked in to this Panera which I hate this chain. You walk into kiosks that replace people's jobs. I ordered food on the kiosk for my family of 5. The tab came out to 40 dollars for some watered down soup and noodles. I went to slide this gift card and pay $20 worth of the tab. It was declined. So I tried again. Declined again. Already embarrassed I call the number on the back of the gift card and the rep said it was authorized moments ago for the $20. I approached a Hispanic manager I think her name was Norma. Whom thought a young dad in a hoodie with 3 kids and a wife would hustle them. She even spoke to the card rep on the phone. Norma goes well the authorization will be released in 24-48 hours. Come back then. Ummmmmm. Negative. I will never come back to this Panera or any other establishment with their logo on it. I could have paid the money for the food. It was just the principle. If I was the manager I would have comped off 20 lousy dollars to save a customer. I left with my kids and went to Grimaldi's whom treated us with respect. Stay away from this place. Really disappointed this was no longer a Paradise Bakery. Especially since it still says Paradise Bakery on the storefront, but everything I asked for I was told they no longer carry that. (I was looking for the Turkey Cranberry Sandwich specifically - but couldn't find anything else I would normally order either) I was offered a turkey cranberry hot flatbread - well it's still over 100 degrees outside, so a hot sandwich wasn't really ideal, but I thought I'd give it a try. I'm sorry, it was terrible. I didn't even finish it. Whatever herb spread that was was just not something I enjoyed. I also wanted a lemonade, and was informed that was a summer item, and also no longer on the menu. I understand that Panera is apparently the parent company for Paradise Bakery - not sure if this is a new thing or not, or if all the Paradise Bakeries are losing their menu items, but if so, I'll go elsewhere. The menu items they dropped are apparently the reasons I went in there. Also no more free cookie with my sandwich. Kind of a bummer on top of everything else. read more

I had scheduled a field trip for my preschool class 2 months prior to the date needed. I went through their Bakers in Training program found on their website. I needed a different time then what was offered and prior to scheduling I sent an email to the company. I was contacted by Elizabeth Truss, Field Marketing Coordinator, and she told me she would contact the general manager at the desired location and see if they could accommodate my time. She emailed me back with an affirmative response Feb 1. Everything was confirmed 1 week prior to the event. Just to be on the safe side I tried to contact the specified Panera location on Williamsfield 3 days prior to the event. First, it is very difficult to get someone on the phone. I spoke with someone who could not be sure on the time and told me she would call me back. She never did. It took me quite a few phone calls to finally speak to someone 2 days prior to the event and was told that they never knew about the time that was agreed upon and confirmed by Ms. Truss. No accommodations or suggestions to fix the problem were given just a "sorry" which was unacceptable since so much time and planning was made for this event. I called customer service and no one could even give me a telephone number to anyone in the Bakers in Training office or with Ms Truss. I do not recommend ever using this Bakers in Training event and I do not foresee myself dining in a Panera that is very unorganized and has left a bad taste in my mouth. I run a very successful business and will not work with other businesses that do not value or take care of their customers. read more

Went to have Dinner at this location which closes at 8 on Sunday's (its 7:15) was met at the door saying they were closed because of a team meeting.....why In the world would you have a team meeting 45 min before closing time and turn customers down? Close at 8 and have your meeting!! So stupid. read more

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT eat here unless you plan on overpaying for the tiniest sandwich I have ever seen. Let me say that I absolutely Love Panera, which is why I decided to give the new location a shot. I drove by several times thinking that judging from the outside it would not give me the "coffee shop/lounge/work vibe" that I enjoy. Today, I didn't judge from the outside and actually came in to order, sit, and attempt to work. There's an odor when you walk in that sort of smells like old hard boiled eggs or something. I'm not quite sure what that's about. Myself and another lady walked in at the same time to the counter and stood there for about 5-6 mins or so before she walked to ask if someone could come to assist us. I ordered and she picked up her catered order about 3 mins later. The cashier apologized and said she was solo today. My food took no time to come out. The staff here is friendly and courteous. I struggled to find a place to sit bc I was looking for an outlet in which to plug up and get busy while I ate. Unlike other locations, these seems to be in short supply. The tables are pretty close which made it difficult to walk through and it doesn't make for much privacy whether you're working or wanting to have a private conversation. There's a slight odor of sewage around the restroom area as well (not the smells that guests leave from time to time). Overall, I think there's definitely some room for improvements and adjustments this being a new location and all; however I will enjoy my usual Panera spot in the interim. read more

I absolutely LOVE Panera!! When it was paradise, all I would ever eat was the grilled cheese and tomato soup, but now that it has become Panera, I've branched out and discovered new items..such as: the chipotle avocado melt, Very tasty! Also the strawberry poppy seed salad is oh soooo delish! Recently, I discovered they have basil pesto.. and I'm VERY obsessed with pesto..so I have concocted a New sandwich. Its a Grilled Cheese with Pesto. I put it on sourdough, take off the american and add feta and chedder, and the drizzle pesto. Boom! It tastes like pizza, and in my opinion, it is quite better and less greasy than pizza. Also this location I have found, the employees are much more nicer than other paneras and cleaner by far. Ordered Chicken Soup and Broc Cheese Soup last night via GrubHub (home sick). Normally I do a 20% tip. This time I did 18%. IDK why. I have clear instructions to text me when the delivery has been made and to knock on the door upon arrival. Neither of those things happened. About 10 min past the "expected delivery time" I happened to look on my porch and there it is. Getting cold. Okay, not their most shining moment, but hey, it happens. Open the soup and it is literally I bowl of broth. 4 noodles and one price of chix (yes, i counted-I was mad). Few carrots. Very disappointing for a $26 food delivery. My past experience with this restaurant has always been positive (although limited). Got Tom Soup & Grill Cheese and it was great (gave a 20% tip on that order). That arrived on time, with notification. Was it the tip? Have NOT yet received a feedback request, much less delivery confirmation text. According to the app it is still in progress. Boo Hiss!!
