This location SUCKS. I fell in love with the Madagascar vanilla cream cold brew, and I'm not sure why but after ordering it for the first time, they never get it right. It's always super bitter, even when I pay for extra vanilla cream sweetener, it's still bitter, order it the same way at the parmer and 35 location and no issues. I always have to go inside and get a bigger cup, add half and half, and the cane sugar in the lobby. I wrote corporate about a month ago about this constant issue they have with this drink, but no response and no changes. If it wasn't so expensive, I wouldn't care, if I didn't have to pay extra to make it as sweet as it already should be, then I wouldn't complain but here we are...Hope they can get it together. Bad, bad, bad, bad, and more bad! I place my order for a takeout sandwich, chips and muffins. I didn't know that I should have taken EVERYTHING out of the bag to check it before I went home. Got home and the steak and arugula sandwich was missing the steak! What?? Who the hell would order a steak sandwich, hold the steak?? Common sense should have made someone question the correctness of the order. And the bagel was not toasted as requested. So basically, what I had for dinner from Panera was an arugula sandwich on a cold, rubbery bagel for the price of a steak sandwich. With it was the smallest bag of chips I've ever seen served with a sandwich. Next, for dessert I ordered 2 muffins. Both were the wrong kind - ordered pumpkin and got some weird strudel thing. Apple and got cranberry. Both muffins were hard and stale tasting. So I paid $17 for this crappy, badly made, low quality, small portions, over-priced, WRONG order. I am going back for a refund and won't be back to this location. What has happened to Panera? There is nothing good about this location, this chain, this customer service, or it's food. Last week, I dropped by Panera BREAD at around 4PM to get a loaf of bread for dinner. I was shocked to see not one-single-loaf-of-bread on their shelves. Not one. No loafs. No rolls. I said no bother, just give me my $ back. Not mad, just didn't want a substitute. She said she would get a manager. No problem. She also failed to bring my drink which she promptly forgot entirely. After finishing my salad I thought I would just go myself. The confused manager couldn't comprehend getting $ back and Insisted I wanted substitutions. She asked that I talk to the other manager. The line for the other manager was out the door as she was managing the orders coming in. After 5 min wait, I left. Any chance I get my $3.50back? read more

My first visit to a Panera Bread. I purposely chose this location because it looked as if they were practicing safe distancing and wearing masks. Half way though taking my order, the cashier dropped her mask to below her chin. I thought this odd but at least she wasn't handling my food. Right? I go to the pick up area, and the man was also wearing his mask around his neck. I left, tried to call the manager but was put on hold for an unreasonable length of time. I called their corporate office, held for an hour and ultimately got fed up and gave up. I will not try another location, they are not taking public safely seriously. read more

It looks like new staff since covid hit and now I've gone there 3 times and order has been perfectly correct and way better quality and way more friendly staff!! This is a great improvement!! It's unfortunate that I love their food because the service is always poor. I often do rapid pick up after ordering online and my husband picks up the order. Today we placed an order for the Family feast flatbread order with two salads to be picked up curbside. When my husband arrived, he followed the procedures for curbside pick up. When no one brought the order out, he went in and was pointed toward a bag. Unbeknown to him, there supposedly were two parts, but he only saw the bag. When I saw there were no pizzas, I called Panera right away. Since the drive to Panera is a half hour each way, I asked if they'd just take the pizzas off our order and discount our receipt for what we didn't receive. Their answer was basically tough luck because they said it was my husband's fault since he didn't take them. My frustration is that had the order been brought to the car as ordered, there would not have been an issue. He was merely the driver; he had no clue what he was picking up. He saw a bag and brought it home. So, we paid $26+ and got two salads; neither of which were what I'd expect from a Panera. We will not be returning. read more

Oh No! Panera has changed their fabulous scones. Spoiler alert: the new ones are awful! I used to stop here a few times a month to pick up scones for the weekend. Panera's scones were so fab there were even copycat recipes on Pinterest. Imagine my surprise last week when I opened my bag of cinnamon and orange scones to find imposters in their place. And not good imposters either. The new ones are tiny and round. There is a glaze squiggle on top that is totally hard and falls off in your lap the moment you touch the scone. Flavor can't even come close to the old recipe. So sad. I was devastated. Bye bye Panera. Just printed out the orange scone copycat recipe from the good old days. read more

Third time at this location and they have consistently been out of ingredients used for multiple menu items and given poor service every single time. The service is unpleasant in the sense that if you have to interrupt the employees personal conversations to ask for something they had forgotten even in the order pick up window you're met with a blank stare or rude remark regarding when the best time to request your item would be. It's not the best feeling giving your money for compromised food & negative service. In a smaller, not so busy area I would expect stocked menu items and a little bit better service as someone who frequents this chain in MUCH busier areas of Austin with no issue. read more

I wouldn't recommend this location. This is the second time they've messed up my order. I ordered a caprese on country rustic without the purée and tomatoes..... I received a sandwich with nothing but sliced tomatoes, and mozzarella...... I have no issue at any other location but this one messes up every time I order them. I ordered it online both times and both times it's been wrong....... I love Panera, but this location definitely isn't my favorite. After I saw previous bad reviews, I thought for sure management would have fixed those problems, boy was I wrong. We had 2 orders for pick up, the 1st one was wrong my wife sent it back and got it back wrong. After the 3rd time it was still wrong. She ordered NO tomato (which she is allergic to) and they put it on anyways. My salad was suppose to have NO tomato instead it had EXTRA tomato, and had a minuscule amount of dressing. I'll start by saying that I have enjoyed eating at every Panera that I've gone to in the past, therefore it was quite a surprise to stop at this one today and experience what I did. I ordered a choose two deal with a panini (cheese and spinach) and French onion soup with an Apple on the side. What was brought to me was a melted cheese sandwich on white bread with grill marks on one side, and warmish soup. No side. My sandwich was remade at my request and the second time I was provided with warm flatbread with cheese and spinach. Still not what I ordered. Folks, Panera is a great chain. I've had great experiences. Avoid this particular restaurant, as it is an awful example of that name. They can't even cook a grilled cheese. read more

I have been to this Panera three times in the past 2 weeks to get soup bread bowls. They have told me all three times they are out. I have gone at lunch and at dinner. I had a small catering order (10 boxed lunches) for the Georgetown, TX location this past Wednesday. Upon pick up, Gordon greeted me with all boxes neatly packed and bagged, along with the beverages and fruit cups. A bag of ice was also included along with a large bowl and serving spoon for the ice. Every detail was careful thought of. Gordon was incredibly helpful and courteous. A co-worker from Chicago who helped me with the pick up said, "Wow, this is good ol' southern hospitality!" The food was high quality, fresh and delicious! We could smell the fresh baked bread in the car on our way to the meeting! The custom ordered sandwiches were exactly as we ordered, not one ingredient was missing or inadvertently added. Everyone was pleasantly surprised at how great it all was. I know this sounds as if it's just a restaurant doing its job correctly, but it's rare for a restaurant to exceed on every level of service these days. I live in Austin but would happily order from this location again if in the area and would highly recommend this location for any catering job! read more

Panera has great food, no doubt. However this particular location needs some help in several areas - customer service being the first. I have been on several occasions, different days/times. There is ALWAYS a problem of some sort, yes some are minor but after awhile and considering the prices, it simply isn't acceptable. And yes, I have been to other Panera locations. The inside is clean and usually neat. Unfortunately they are out of things frequently - a particular soda, the variety of breads are typically not available as they are in other locations. Many of the staff are not properly trained in working with the public - I would blame it on youth but that is unfair because there are plenty of great staff in other places that are young. I could go on but basically I would say the management needs to step in and address some key areas before losing more customers. read more

Every time I order bagles they're not fully toasted. And it's the most annoying thing that they won't put the butter on it for you (or prepare your coffee). Going through the drive through getting breakfast with kids is impossible if you have to individually put cold butter on slightly warm bagles. I know people tend to get down on chains (and maybe there's justification for that, I don't know), but I've had exceptionally pleasant experiences at this Panera and wanted to take a moment to say why. Consistently, the place is super-clean, very comfortable, and clearly the employees want to get it right and make patrons happy. I mostly come for breakfast, so I can't speak widely to the rest of the menu, but I enjoy the food, feel like I get value for my buck, and the rewards program is a good one too (sending me freebies here and there). I'm always impressed with the service--this time I was so impressed with Thalia's graciousness, helpfulness, and warmth that I had to write a review pronto, while in the restaurant, with my coffee at my elbow and my half-gnawed, cream-cheesed bagel at ten o'clock. (And I've also been helped by Ruth on prior occasions and have been similarly and consistently impressed with her, so a big shout-out to her, too! She's always so friendly and patient and upbeat, even at 6am!) This time I was wondering about an ingredient in an item I might get for my husband who has some allergies, and even though I told Thalia not to worry about it (b/c I thought I'd grab something else...for my impervious-to-allergy-self instead, hah), she took it upon herself to get the nutrition info from the Big Binder, and when I thanked her she said that's what she was there for and she was happy to help--and she really was. That kind of customer service isn't the norm anymore, I think, so I just really appreciate that attention and patience. (BTW, the allergen-transparency is something I appreciate about chains--it's often easier to locate allergen info in chain restaurants.) They keep the coffee really hot and fresh here, it's a great place to relax and linger with a book or a friend (or a book that's a friend), and it's bright and pleasant. And ultimately, what impresses me most of all is the quality of the interpersonally-skilled, genuinely warm staff--thanks for your hard work and attentiveness! read more

I love this Panera! They are always so quick to have your food ready. Whether your dining in or taking out, you're never in for to long of a wait. If it worries you to think your food is coming out to quickly, don't! The food is always great! Plus you can see them making it fresh in the back. The kiosk they have installed are an amazing time saver. If I pop in for a quick coffee or tea, it's easy to order, grab my cup and go. On that note, the coffee is always fresh. Don't waste your time and money, this place is really bad. Placed a online order and got home with my supposed tasty meal,WRONG. The pick 2 soup and salad. Salad so small it didn't even come to the half way mark on the small container and soup that had been watered down to a unrecognizable sludge. I called to complain the "manager" offered to remake the order. WELL I am already home so shame on me for their mistake. I demanded a refund and the "MANAGER" said she would do that and she ask me to hold. TWICE we became mysteriously disconnected. Finally she called me back and we got the refund done. I've been to this store multiple times (thinking I had just gone in on a bad day) mornings afternoons, it doesn't matter, it's always out of bread and most bagels. I finally asked the person behind the counter when they stop baking because I was in at 10 this morning and they only had one loaf of bread left. She said that they stop baking at 5 a.m. and don't bake periodically throughout the day even though they always run out of product early. WTF??? Who is running this joint? Also, the loaf of bread that I bought this morning was stale. I usually love Panera but this particular one doesn't get that they are a bread store. My wife and I like to come here when we're in the mood for healthy comfort food. She loves their French Onion soup (they call it "Bistro Onion"), and I'm a huge fan of their Black Bean soup and the Sierra Turkey sandwich. (Hint: Squirt some of the Cholula sauce they provide into your Black Bean soup to kick it up a notch.) The restaurant is always clean (even when it's crowded), and the staff is always nice. On the rare occasion when something wasn't perfect, they bent over backwards to make it right. There are lots of restaurants in the area, with more being built all the time, and this is one of the few we've never had second thoughts about visiting! read more

The woman at counter was stone faced, grim, and none too pleasant even after I greeted her kindly upon entering.
