Went to Panera for lunch today in Folsom and was very disappointed. The ice machine was empty. Went to the counter and asked for ice and they acted totally irritated. Then we found a table to eat at, and it was dirty. Had to ask two times before anyone came and cleaned it. The real topper was how dirty the restaurant was. I took a picture and showed it to a supervisor (picture attached) and her response to me was that they were busy. When I turned around my husband said she made a face at me. I stopped in to pick up lunch. Ordered 2 salads and a side of Mac n Cheese. So disappointed. We opened the bag to find pieces of baguette torn up and floating in the drag on top of the salads. The bowl containing my side of Mac was only half filled. The Fuji apple salad contained nearly a cup of sliced tomatoes. We had to scrape them out in order to eat the salad. No cilantro for the Asian chicken salad. This is the second disappointing visit to this location. Won't go back. read more

Love this place for a quick coffee or lunch. The staff is always friendly and quick to get your food out in a timley manner.

This location is trash. They constantly run out of there bread baguette and can't even accommodate their guest by offering an alternate like a "sprouted grain roll" or literally any other bread. I found out they were out when getting my order and when I asked if I could have a substitute bread the man behind the counter looked at me sideways and said that no other bread is a side option. Weird bc I've been to several that offer a different bread because of their inconvenient shortage. He also didn't know what a sprouted grain roll was. How do you not know the breads you carry when the word BREAD is in your title? Also stag is never at the front counter either so you'd be better off going to the kiosk. read more

It's been awhile since I last visited Panera. I had a new sandwich on menu: Chipotle chicken avocado on focaccia bread, yum! One thing I don't look forward to here is that they still serve Pepsi products, why?? I will pass up places just because I see that they don't have coke products. Do not bother using this location's curbside service, unless you're fond of waiting (and waiting) for half-melted "frozen" lemonades and soggy sandwiches. In theory, this should be a great service for any customer, but especially for the disabled or immunocompromised who don't want to enter a business full of maskless people. Unfortunately, they just aren't prompt in bringing out the food. Let's be real, it's mediocre to begin with, so letting it sit as you wait for them to finally bring it out (with no apology for the delay) doesn't do it any favors. I've been going to this Panera for almost 2 years and it has been steadily declining in food and service over the past several months. I ordered online, I received a text that my order was ready. When I go to rapid pick up it's not there, so I wait for a few minuets see if comes out. It doesn't. I walk over to the pick up counter where there were 4 employees standing there, that did not acknowledge me. After getting someone's attention and inquiring about my order, I was told it needed to be bagged. When I opened my chicken teriyaki bowl, it was swimming in teriyaki sauce. I have been coming here since they opened and they have been nothing but amazing! Recently we did a curbside order and when we were almost home, we realized that both of the Mac n cheeses that we got were the bottom of the pan and crusty and absolutely not edible. It was a bummer because it was dinner for my kids BUT life goes on. I called Panera and they were so kind and 100% took care of our meal the next time we came in. I came here recently for breakfast for the first time. I've definitely come for lunch before, but an earlier opportunity came and it was a very good experience. I ordered the chicken, chipotle, avocado morning wrap with a Madagascar Cold Brew. The wrap was a large size and it was really filling. Everything tasted great. The combination was excellent and it was served hot. And as far as the coffee; wow! That was amazing! I really enjoyed that! Great balance of sweet and caffeine! Yum! If you enjoy the affects of a cold brew, but not the taste so much, this is a sweeter option. I really love this location. Great friendly people staffed that work seemly hard to keep the place moving along. The food is always great! They have one heck of a bakery! If you have a sweet tooth like mine, this place can definitely suffice that! That's probably one of my favorite things about this place. I love this place and I would suggest it! read more

Went back to Panera after a long time. Big mistake! Firstly was told no pizza available. Ordered tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich. I was not offered any side with the order. They just gave me bread. Why would I want bread if the soup has croutons and I have a grilled cheese sandwich? I would have preferred a fruit. The customer service here is on point. Yesterday my wife and I placed an order in store through their kiosk. It must have been a dinner rush because they were swamped. After checking the screen on the status of our order a few times I noticed my name disappeared but the food wasn't out. I inquired about it with a staff member (sorry I didn't catch your name), who got assistance from Julia. They both owned the situation, apologized which was nice and within 5 minutes my order was ready. Stuff happens and no matter how good the system is, things get out of sorts. This Panera is the worst one I have ever been too and we have given them multiple chances to get it right at least once. Lunch has been hit and miss. Breakfast... they should give up as they have horrible service everytime. Today we ordered 2 soufflés and in 9 min were notified they are ready. When trying to pick them up they said they were out and needed 15 minutes for new ones. 45 minutes later they were finally ready. No empathy from the manager, no apology, just excuses about staff. No offer to compensate for the issue and rediculous delay. They clearly do not care about losing business, bad reviews or disappointing customers. It's unfortunate when a good brand with products I like is sooooo bad at customer service. read more

SPECIFICALLY ASKED is there a spoon for my soup and napkins in the bag? "Yes! It's all in there" they said. Walked back to the truck and it wasn't in there. I'm very much impressed with Panera Bread at the Palladio in Folsom. The restaurant is clean, especially the women's bathroom, which I'm very particular about. Brandon, the cashier, who served us was super attentive, friendly, helpful, and professional in his demeanor. He even consulted with his equally professional manager about how to redeem a gift card I got from Christmas 2021. I cannot say enough good things about this location. I also do not know why others had given this Panera Restaurant less than 5 stars. During this time of having labor shortages in restaurants due to the pandemic, I am one of those who truly appreciate the efforts of restaurant staff. I heard a lot of people complaining about their wait times which always bothers me when you look around and the place is as packed as they can be, with every employee working so hard! I love Panera in general so, of course, before my son's basketball game/tournament my two younger sons and I went to this Panera to grab some breakfast. My youngest is 6 years old and his decisions change as much as a baby's diaper so it was naturally going to take a bit of time to actually order. The cashier didn't seem too pleased that we were taking a bit longer than normal, especially with one other person waiting behind us. My older son knew what he wanted right off the bat and I ordered what I wanted. We were just waiting on the munchkin. He finally decided on a muffin (top) or whatever it's called. The cashier actually looked relieved when my youngest finally decided. The cashier rang us up and sent us on our merry way down the hall to wait for our order to be processed. Once our order was ready we picked it up at the counter and we were done. Now, don't get me wrong, we still love Panera but we didn't get/feel the same hospitality from this Panera that we do at the ones that we live closer to. The ones we live closer too always have a welcoming smile, engage in some small talk even when there are people waiting. They make it a point to let the other patrons know that they'll be right with them and thanked them for being patient. This one did no such thing. I mean, there was only one other person waiting in line with us and the cashier seemed so annoyed and impatient with us and didn't even acknowledge the other person in line. I ordered a french toast bag with butter and cream cheese, sliced and toasted and it was perfect with the right amount of cinnamon and cream cheese and butter. It quieted my hungry belly. My older son ordered a breakfast sandwich. It was good because he devoured that thing in three bites. I'm going to guess he was a little hungry. My chai tea latte on the hand was not so great. It wasn't even hot. It was lukewarm. I drank it regardless because I'm not one to waste food but still. Come on, I even asked for it to be extra hot so that by the time we arrived at the basketball tournament, my tea would be just the right temperature. My son ordered a hot chocolate and it was cold. Granted he's a little kid but a warm chocolate would have been way better than a cold chocolate. After a few sips, he didn't want it anymore. Such a waste. I used to really enjoy Panera but haven't been in for a long time because I no longer work near one. At the Folsom location, the floor was filthy enough to gross me out and make me worry how dirty the kitchen was. It wasn't lunch rush. It was a Sunday and while there were a fair number of people there, I don't think it was too busy to clean up. I used to love the Greek salad and ordered one. The salad dressing is different and it tasted very heavy on sugar. I asked for extra pepperocini and they said they aren't "clean" so they can't use them anymore. In trying to make things more healthy, I guess sugar is just fine but some vinegar that has some preservative in it is "dirty" and so I can't have it anymore. I assume being "clean" is also why the salad dressing changed. My husband said his sandwich was disgusting. Not sure what he ordered though. But he barely ate it. read more
