Customer service is #1 always. I have just had another horrible experience with Dublins Panera customer service. DONE. I have witnessed and read this now so I need management to get it together seriously. I will not be back for at least a yr. I will get my food, coffee and favorite cookies else where or make them myself! With the cost of inflation you'd think you might at least get this part of their business correct. RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE, Not helpful. I feel their either completely unorganized, over worked or possibly a combination of this. I will finish with once I do come back next yr 'Maybe' I pray this Panera can get it together. I've been to many other Panera and have had excellent customer service. I come by here usually to catch up on some lingering work and enjoy some coffee or a smoothie. This is a nice location and the staff here are always courteous. Inking about it the smoothies are pretty good as well (huge fan of the mango!) Its fairly quiet - in a good way - meaning I can sit and work for a spell and always find a table but it isn't empty. I do love coming here when I am in town and offer my thanks to the staff there for making this a great way to work or read a book for a while. read more

While I was visiting Dublin for business I went to Panera to grab a salad & sandwich. I ordered using the Panera app and selected curbside pickup. There were two patrons dining on the patio and the parking lot was basically empty. After waiting 30 minutes with no sign of my order I went inside to find out if there was a problem with my order. I received a warm welcome upon entering and I asked about the status of my order. The young lady at the counter asked my name and looked at the numerous bags lined up on the counter and said "Oh! Here it is!" Completely oblivious to why I came inside to get my order. When I got back to the hotel and unbagged my food I noticed they just tossed the baguette in the bag (no wrapper/bag) and they did not include the pickle with the sandwich. I ordered the flatbread for the first time, so when they handed my bag down and I was about four blocks away imagine my surprise that the main thing in the meal, the flat bread is missing. Had to turn back around and go pick it up. They knew when I walked in and said I was missing an item that it was the flatbread, to figure. Along with my order I got a sliced plain bagel. Imagine my surprise later when I decide to eat my bagel they provided not only a bagel that wasn't sliced but not even the bagel I ordered. It's like they bagged the order in the dark. read more

I ordered 2 salads to go - cashier was crazy busy no help from the manager walking around, the food took for a long time to come out - finally got my salads and left. I got home to open the bag and the bread that normally comes along with the salad did not have butter in the bag - 2nd time this has happened - cutting corners or sloppy service - I don't know. My Wife's salad was OK - my salad they forgot to add the dressing - good thing I took the salads home and not to work - I have dressing at home. My girlfriend and I generally like Panera Bread. More specifically we do like their salads and sandwiches. The salads especially taste fresh as well as the bread. Our issue recently relates to this location specifically since we've moved from Livermore to Dublin.. Four orders in the last 30 days have been made incorrectly. All of the orders consisting of just one salad and one sandwich. Being that adjustments to an order are written explicitly and accurately to us when we order it and on the receipt the Panera team use, I find it hard to think there is any legitimate excuse team members could have for not making an order accurately.. (asking for no chicken on a salad, for example.) The staff there, in our opinion, offer questionable customer service at best... many of them seem younger, so it is semi-understandable. Livermore never seemed to have an issue in this regard. We are thinking the management at Dublin likely needs to be re-trained, or offered a lesser status until they show the skill set to lead a restaurant team. We have been helped by management there before (either the manager or assistant manager, not sure), and the couple experiences we have had with them has been a very blunt and passive customer service experience. (To put bluntly, they have come off as very rude.) Anyway, we do like the food when made correctly. However, the faith I have that our food will be made is all but gone. read more

as a former employee of the dublin panera bread i will first hand say this was the most unsanitary disgusting food envirmoment imaginable and i'm not leaving this review just because its my old job i'm leaving it for well being of customers. during an audit i was told by my manager ryan to change all of the day dots to different dates than the past expired date which was two days prior to the audit i did as i was told and put fake prep dates on all of the food on the drive thru line, this happened on multiple occasions although not during audits it would especially happen with the bacon whatever you do don't get the bacon everytime i would look at the date dot on the bacon it would be expired by a day or two and when i asked management they told me once again to just throw another sticker on it and call it new highly unacceptable as this could cause food poisoning due to food sitting for too long only time myself would ever eat it is if i saw it come out the oven if not it was almost always bad. we were not allowed to use the restroom from 12-1 because it was lunch rush and if we did so we were scolded for it but that is unethical work practice. as an employee it was almost impossible to work with the managers due to them always being in bad moods or being hostile when at work the manager josue on a regular basis would go to the back and punch things throw things bang things and all around made it a hostile environment for everybody although ther was a manager named valerie, during my time valerie was always picked on by the rest of the managers such as josue edwin and ryan with everything that happened somehow ended up always being her fault when in my opinion she was one of the hardest workers i had ever worked with. whatever you do make sure you think twice next time you eat at this establishment. read more

My go to pick 2 is the bacon mac & cheese and the Mediterranean veggie sandwich. Unfortunately, bacon crumbles were chewy, not crispy today. Veggie was delicious as always. Service has improved with the ability to order online or on the quick order kiosks. However, more improvements needed. My mom and I bought some pastries and the cashier didn't wash his hands before grabbing our scone and cookies with a napkin. I love Panera bread. Their baked goods are consistently good at all the locations. My favorite is the shortbread cookies, the frosted ones. Recently my mom and I went to Panera to purchase various baked goods and pastries for an office breakfast the following day. The selection was diverse and each dozen bagels came with a container of cream cheese plain or flavored. I've been to this location a couple more tines since that visit in late June. Great customer, good selection and easy access. I especially appreciate this location's support of the LGBT community. I've suggested a family member apply for a position at this location; seems to be a positive working environment. read more

Panera Bread is my favorite chain restaurant. The food is soooo gooood! My sister had never been and I thought that I would treat her to an Asiago Roast Beef Sandwich. This is my usual go to menu option. Top that off with an Iced Green Tea and you got yourself a wonderful lunch. We sat inside the dinning room. It was really busy but the employees bring your food out to you and also take your plate once your done. Service is fast and efficient. You do have to get your own box in case you don't finish your sandwich. But the box's are readily available. I love Panera Bread and will always come back. ***********Safety Note****** I was almost run over in the parking lot while I was leaving, by a guy in a blue Toyota Corrolla. So watch out. I usually come to Panera if I want to study or grab a pastry with a friend. They usually aren't very crowded, and its' pretty easy to find a seat. They have plenty of seating here. I usually get the broccoli cheddar sourdough bread bowl soup, french onion soup ( beware because this is very salty), a panini, or one of their yummy chewy bagels. Panera really tries to go for the whole healthy concept, but when you look closer at the ingredients you realize that the food here is not quite that healthy. It is generally very high in carbs and sodium, so don't be fooled into eating here based on the premise that their food is "healthy". The coffee here is great since it comes with free refills, and they brew coffee quite often so it is fresh and hot. They have different brews to choose from each day ranging from hazelnut, vanilla, etc. Be sure to sign up for a panera rewards card!!! I love Panera. I really do. But this Panera by far is the messiest and grossest I've ever been to. First off, all the tables contain some type of mess (I even asked if I could have a rag to wipe down my own table). Second, there's an entire zoo of children running around the restaurant without shoes. I know children's behavior are out of the restaurants control, but it completely ruins any decent dining experience. Lastly, my grilled cheese was Luke warm at best and contained blocks of cheese. I would complain but unfortunately my hunger overrides my irritation at the fact that the sandwich wasn't even cooked. Overall, I wish the Chipotle next door wasn't crowded. It was my first choice and I wish I stood in line for them than waste $10 on half assed food here. Definitely not coming back ever. Usually Panera Bread means you will get a decent meal and good service. Usually. I stopped in here on Sunday with my wife for brunch before a long road trip. When they told my wife that they were no longer serving breakfast and were out of eggs at 10:59 a.m. I should have known it was all going to go downhill. I ordered a Cuban chicken sandwich, my wife ordered a bowl of soup. The server brings out 2 bowls of soup. I said, "I didn't order soup, does it come with the sandwich?" He says, "What sandwich?" I check the receipt and see that the cashier incorrectly put down 2 bowls of soup. I go back to the cashier and say, "Excuse me, there's been a mistake, I ordered the sandwich." She looks at my receipt and says, "No you didn't, you ordered the large soup." "no, I ordered a sandwich." "You ordered the soup." While she continued arguing with me, I was losing patience. Finally she somewhat relents and says, "Fine, I will have to charge you for the sandwich." "OK, I didn't expect to get it for free. I just want my food." Her manager had been overhearing the conversation and came over, apologized and said, "There will be no extra charge. This was our mistake, not yours." They made it right (hence 2 stars instead of 1), but a cashier should not break down in the middle of the store to fight with a customer over a mistake on her part, especially with other customers in earshot. This Panera is great. They are friendly and have your order ready very quickly. I came here last night and had a bowl of chicken noodle soup and a turkey sandwich. The soup, as always was amazing. I now understand why this location has only mediocre reviews. I came in to order to go. I have small kids and it makes it easier to go. I got home and checked my salad only to find out they gave me the wrong salad. I ordered the green goddess and ended up with some apple walnut salad. Very irritated that this happened. Not the first time. I was going out again so I took the wrong salad back to get the right one. A manager was working the register. He let me know they'd remake my salad and to pick it up at the window. I reminded him of my treat if an order is incorrect-he honored that. I picked up my salad and made sure it was the correct one this time. I'm irritated that there isn't better quality control on their food pick ups and what's actually put out vs ordered. And more irritated that no one apologized to me for their mistake or even acted like they felt bad that I had to come back with my son and baby. It was an absolute inconvenience. I was in Dublin for work and in a place without lunch. A quick search of available places nearby revealed a Panera among the choices. This particular Panera is in the same shopping complex as the Target, across from Safeway to the East. Panera is on the opposite side of the parking area from Target and when I went at lunch time there was plenty of parking although nothing right next to the doors. Walking inside the restaurant was clean, and there was a long line at 11:20 am but it moved fast. When I got up to the front I gave my order without much fuss, got my receipt (no buzzer here) and went to stand by the other counter for pickup. A few minutes later (~5) the food was ready and I was on my way back to the office for more work and some lunch! I didn't use it but walking by I could tell they had a nice patio. This would be a great place to sit when the weather is nice and you have some time. read more

I've used their Rapid Pick-Up service to get a pastry or two (love their bear claws!) in the morning and have never had any issues walking straight to the back shelving area and picking up my treats. If you walk in early enough, you can see your name appear on the large blue screen near the raised counter area to determine whether or not your order is still in the queue or if they have already completed it. I've also made a number of catering orders online and have never had any issues with timeliness, items missing, etc. Whether I'm in Oakland, San Leandro or Dublin, I use Panera as my go-to breakfast place because they offer fresh food at reasonable prices and have something for everyone (sandwiches, souffles, bagels, pastries, fruit bowls, etc.). Panera is also great for lunch - I always order an assortment of box lunches (sandwiches and salads) that come with their own side (chips, apple, fruit cup, etc.) and dessert, and allow everyone to pick whatever they'd like. The solid five-stars are all well-deserved, though, because of their catering manager's thoughtfulness and outstanding customer service. Diane (I believe) totally saved my bacon this past Monday. I needed lunch for 35 at 11, but didn't place my order online until 9:30 am. When I finally put in my credit card information and paid, I almost cried when I saw that the ordering system pushed my order to 11 am THE FOLLOWING DAY. I frantically called Panera and spoke with Diane who said that while they couldn't deliver at 11 (7 other people wisely put their orders in within the 2-hour notice time frame), they could have all 35 box lunches and all the drinks ready by 11 for pick-up. After looking around at other places, *cough*Chipotle*cough, which require 24 hours advance notice on catering orders, Panera allows you to place a catering order with just 2! That is truly amazing! When my order was ready, I saw a salad. The person who prepped the food insisted that's what I ordered and didn't budge to what I was saying. The cashier walks over and I said I ordered the sandwich right? He nodded. I then told the food preparer that he just confirmed I did indeed ordered a sandwich. I often order food from here as I work very close by. The workers are always very nice, and the food is what you'd expect. Tonight I was a little disappointed however. I ordered a cinnamon roll and coffee for pick up at 5:15pm, when I expected to get my meal break from work. Unfortunately, my meal break was delayed, and so I was late in going to pick up my food. This location closes at 6pm on Sundays, so I ran to get to the door so that I could get the food I already paid for. Unfortunately, despite the fact that my phone said it was only 5:59, the doors were locked and the employees didn't seem to notice me at the door. I don't fault the employees, as I know they work hard, it's a Sunday night, I was late picking up my order, not all clocks are exactly in sync, and I've only ever had good experiences at this location. I love this chain and I seriously love their unlimited coffee program for such a low monthly subscription. As someone who is self employed I'm glad that they also have outdoor seating. Their food is always so fresh too. My body thanks me for going here instead of Jack in the box lol. I love their outdoor seating with the fountain.
