This is by far my favorite chick fil A in the east bay! Parking is very easy parking here. It is relatively new so it is very clean. However I find all chick fil A are clean and they do a good job maintaining their interior despite the chaos of a fast food chain. Service is always fast and quick. I always use mobile app to do pick up and it never disappoints. The quality of food is good and consistent with other locations too. Service is always good, employees are pleasant. I am very happy with this location and this is my to-go location for Chick-fil-A. read more

I did a drive-thru at Chick Fil A at Hopyard Road with my family on 3 December 2025 as the dine-in was closed for renovation. We ordered 2 kids meal, a 30 piece nugget meal, 1 regular burger and 1 deluxe burger with Aaron. The orders were taken correctly and charged accordingly. The drive thru was definitely not busy at the time. Upon reaching our destination, we found that they did not give us the regular and deluxe burgers. There was 1 spicy deluxe burger instead. So we were missing 1 regular burger and got a wrong deluxe burger as well. It was too far and inconvenient for us to travel all the way back for a replacement. We tried to reach the outlet via phone or email with no avail. We did a survey and left our contact details but no attempt was made to contact us. If the management is reading this, please do the right thing by your customers. This was definitely a lousy experience! read more

Omg I never had a more relaxing experience at this Chick-fil-A on Hopyard(old Sweet Tomato's spot which I miss terribly!) plenty of tables and far enough apart for privacy vs. Johnson drive location that has the busiest drive-through and crowded parking lot!! Cashier was very helpful and pleasantly surprised that they have frosted sodas! I ordered the frosted lemonade, but my daughter got the frosted root beer, which was like a root beer float! Each of us ordered the deluxe chicken sandwich, which was delicious and fresh along with the waffle fries! We love the many dips that we can order that are complimentary as always!! It was wild to hear there's not one, but TWO Chick-Fil-A locations in Pleasanton within a couple of miles from each other. I had to check it out. I can say with confidence that this location is much better than the other location by the freeway because there is more parking since there isn't a drive-thru and you won't get stuck in the In N Out/Starbird traffic in the plaza. This restaurant is overall fairly clean, including their restrooms. The staff make rounds to tidy up and wipe down tables/chairs for you. One of the things I appreciate at Chick-Fil-A is having an "extra sauces" section so that no sauces go to waste if someone doesn't use it. I frequent that to find more Chick-Fil-A sauces (this stuff is addicting!). Prices are still high, but you're paying for the high quality chicken. I recommend the Spicy Deluxe Chicken Meal, it's so delicious and well-made. If there are any ingredients you'd like to remove from your sandwich, they will take it out and sometimes it will reduce your price (i.e., tomatoes - .30 off!). If you plan on coming to Chick-Fil-A often, download their app to accrue points so that you can earn free items along the way, get a complimentary birthday treat, and more. If you're feeling a bit lazy, they have curbside pick-up in front of the restaurant OR if you want to pick up a mobile order, there's another room next door for that only and it saves you time having to wait in the main line next door. read more

Chick Fil-A is one of my fav fast food restaurants! Their spicy chicken sandwich is so good and I love that I can customize options. Since their other location was closed for remodel, I came here instead. Parking can be trickier and they don't have a drive through area, so give yourself more time if picking up from here. Everyone here is always very welcoming & kind . I asked my husband if we could try the new Smokehouse bbq & he said sure but only if he can get the spicy one. I tell him heck yea ! Get what you want ! lol ! I usually get it w/ a GF bun or wrapped in lettuce. My gluten allergy isn't an issue with the breaded filet for some strange reason but I think there's not enough breading so my stomach can handle it. I appreciate that option. We go to the location on Hopyard b/c it's not as crazy as the one that is off the freeway . They're really warm & welcoming there too but that's the one when we go to for take out & the one w/o the pickup window we usually dine in . Both are always clean & organized . Regarding Hopyard Road, Pleasantan CA location - Very well designed setup with separate facilities for dining in and picking up online orders - brilliant way to divide traffic! The food is always quite tasty. The only issue I have (and it seems to be company-wide) is what the h--- is up with the multigrain brioche bread??? This is the second time where I ordered a sandwhich and don't even THINK of opening the sandwich to add condiments. This is probably the best fast food environment you can get. It has been newly renovated since the close down of sweet tomatoes. My first visit today and it really surprised me. Inside was clean and ordering take out is less complicated because the take out line is in a separate room than main area. I love that each table has a pot of flowers. The chicken nugget market salad met my expectations. Staff was friendly. I will definitely come back to this location. You are eating fast food but in an upgraded setting. read more

My first time dining at the new Chick-fil-A on Hopyard in Pleasanton. I thought it was ridiculous that city officials allowed a 2nd Chick-fil-A to open only a mile from the first restaurant. However, I've changed my mind. The original restaurant is always busy because it's located off the freeway at Hopyard road. This new restaurant is for locals only. No drive thru. It was formerly Sweet Tomatoes back in the day. It was easy peasy to park, walk in, place my order, and plenty of indoor seating. My go-to spicy chicken sandwich was delicious. Pretty busy for a Friday night. I only ordered two diet frosted diet lemonade to go. I was sad they don't have the new insulated sleeve cups which keep frosted treats colder longer. A little on the fence about writing a review here because I wanted to keep it a secret but does no one know about this Chick-Fil-A location?! The other Pleasanton Chick-Fil-A (on Johnson right off of 580) is always so busy and the drive thru lines are nuts. Not going to lie, I thought it was really silly to open a second one literally just down the road, but now, I love this new one! The food itself is solid and just as consistent as you'd find at other Chick-Fil-A's so this isn't about that. But the location - just so great. Now some may dock a point because they don't have a drive thru option. BUT if you don't want to get out of the car, just download their app and choose the curbside pick up option. They have TONS of curbside pick up spaces. Picking up a mobile order? They have a whole separate room for that - no need to wait and mix with those who are still deciding what they want to order in-person. But even if you did want to order in person, there's tons of parking in the plaza and you'll likely not run into a long line once inside. The staff is really great and they don't rush you even if there might be a few folks behind you. The dining room is so clean (probably because it's new) and it has ample seating. No play area for kids though - if you prefer that, they do have a play area at the other Chick-Fil-A down the road. This Chick-fil-A location is big, but quieter plaza. It does not seem as busy as their other locations - maybe because of the location or the fact they do not have a drive-thru at this particular location. Plenty of shared parking here as well. The restaurant lobby and front counter / register area is separated from the dining area with a divider, which I feel is a good setup. Their Grilled Nuggets caught my attention, as it seemed like a healtier option. Probably not the best deal though, since it is literally just cut up pieces of chicken breast when you could get a chicken burger for a little bit more. Heading up to Calaveras County, we were in need of a quick meal we could eat in the car, and Chick-fil-a sounded good and it was right off the 580. I hadn't been to a location in over a year, and decided to go with their maple bacon spicy chicken sandwich which was a special. Everything about it was what you'd expect from chick fil a, solid fried chicken, fresh ingredients and bun, just wish the cheese was melted. While good, the standard spicy chicken sandwich is the way to go. The chicken nuggets were mediocre. Some really small pieces some larger ones, the consistency of these just isn't there. Kinda dry to, probs wouldn't order again. The sauce game here continues to be one of the best. The chick fil a sauce is unmatched and the Buffalo hits the spot. I ordered the bbq but they forgot to put it in the bag no biggie. We ordered two medium meals and a 8pc nuggets, and we spent $38. Having not eaten here in a while, I was shocked at how expensive it was to eat here for two people. While we enjoyed it, the price point is what'll keep us from coming back often. read more

Our dine in order was wrong. brought the item to the counter. waited minutes for help. then the person went to replace. another person approached and asked for the wrong item back. I asked since they were throwing it out of I could keep it (I hate seeing waste). they said no it was there policy. odd as I was impacted. I felt awkward. The whole thing took longer than it should have. Mistakes happen and that's not the issue. my other food in the meantime was cold. I ordered DoorDash through here two times never get DoorDash through Chick-fil-A especially if it's coming from here. They don't know how to check names or give the right orders. I have been out of luck and got the wrong order two times and even when going back to the store to ask if they could make my order and exchange it for the one they incorrectly gave me they won't even do that. What happened to wanting to make customers happy obviously not. I don't care if it's coming through DoorDash you should just make the customer happy, especially if you guys were the ones to mess it up. Service was awesome! Staff was awesome and there's noooooooo line! They don't have a drive through but they do have curbside. Once you pull up you can stay inside your car and place your order. Well, it's chicken. But it's REALLY good chicken. Always perfectly cooked - never underdone or overdone. Just right. Nice and hot. Sides are good, too - including the unique waffle fries. Service here is about taking and executing the order correctly and getting it to the table presentably - always nicely done, and they check up on you to see if you need anything else and assure you are fully satisfied. This restaurant is spectacularly clean, too. Always someone clearing, cleansing, straightening up. Spotless. Quiet and family friendly. As far as chick fil a goes. The food was normal but it was the worse customer service from any chick fil a i have been to. I walked in to pick up my order and was waiting for a long time and not once did anyone walk up to and ask what my name was or anything. Mind you it was later in the day around 8 or so when there was absolutely no one else in the building in terms of customers. It also took a long time as I arrived and waited for 10-15 minutes and placed the order way before I even walked in the door. We ordered on the Chick-fil-a app for curbside pickup. The app works great and within a couple minutes of arriving our order was delivered to our car. The person who brought it was very pleasant and soon on our way home. The order was filled perfectly, and was hot and delicious. Recently, I was able to try chick for the first time and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. The staff were so polite and friendly and they bring the food out to you when it's ready (something I've not seen in a very long time from a fast food business, if ever..!) The interior decor was so open and clean, and actually had plant life; another thing I've not seen in 10-20 years in a fast food restaurant..! As for the food; I ordered a "deluxe" number one, to keep things simple and standard. The food overall could best be simply described as "clean" tasting; particularly when compared to every other typical fast-food chain. Neither the chicken burger, nor the fries were greasy at all. The texture of the chicken was practically perfect; it was balanced between moist and dry, soft and crunchy. The waffle fries were not spectacular, but still good. Even the sauces taste more "pure" compared to their equivalent counterparts from other fast-food businesses. I will also add the food portions were a tiny bit smaller than I'm accustomed to (likely due to current inflation rates). The food didn't feel like a brick in my stomach after I had finished eating it, as well. Overall, a very unique restaurant in several regards. Definitely will be coming back to this establishment, likely as a new regular frequenter. Would recommend if you like relatively simple, good-tasting non-greasy food. read more
