As an Atlanta native who's feasted at the Original Dwarf House, I will say this place is a far cry from what the Truett's envisioned. Not a single worker from the manager on down said "My pleasure." I really didn't feel welcome and the tension/animosity that they were carrying at this location could be tasted in the food. It's been a few years since I've been to this Chick-fil-A. It's right off the freeway which makes it pretty convenient. It's always busy so be prepared, but that's pretty much how these restaurants operate. The workers were all friendly in the drive-through and it moved fairly quickly for being that busy. I usually come here for a grilled nugget protein fix, the lines can be pretty long but overall I get through efficiently. Whenever I hit the window the food is always ready and nothing is wrong or missing in the bag. The staff is polite and easy to talk to or ask questions. This is the first time I went to a Chick-fil-A. I took my grandson for lunch. We ordered a delux fried chicken sandwich, fries, chicken nuggets, apple juice and fruit cup. I don't know why this place has any sort of devoted following. Everything was mediocre to bad. When I unwrapped the fried chicken sandwich I noticed it had a single wilted, unsightly lettuce leaf. The type of leaf that most people would trim off and discard if they were preparing a salad at home. When I took a bite, I was taken aback by how salty the chicken was. I suspect they heavily salt chicken that is getting old. The chicken nuggets were very average. My grandson did not even eat them. Fries were ok. A go-to item for me is the Spicy Deluxe sandwich, a breaded fillet tossed in a spicy sauce, served on a soft, buttered, toasted bun, and paired with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and pepper jack cheese. The chicken was super juicy on the inside and crunchy on the outside with just the right spicy kick--on the side, I got the sweet and tangy Chick-fil-A sauce and honey mustard for dipping. For my side, the Kale Crunch was made of shredded kale and cabbage in a tangy dressing, and on the side came packets of crushed almonds, which added a perfect earthiness and crunch. On top of the excellent food (which came out super quick), the service was friendly, and the prices were very reasonable too. This chick fil a is literally right next to in-n-out which makes it hard to choose between the both. However, I wanted to try their new Maple Pepper Bacon Sandwich so decided to come here. I don't go often anymore but I went in today because of the heart trays they have available for valentines day! I saw it online and wanted to grab one cause I love the vday stuff! So I had a mobile order placed today for breakfast. I placed it by 10:25 and it was ready before 10:30, because that's when they close for breakfast nonetheless, I received notification and it was ready for pick up unfortunately I don't have a Chick-fil-A in my area so I had to drive almost 30 minutes to come get this breakfast mind you I like their breakfast a lot to wanna drive in the morning. I had my friend go pick it up and upon his arrival at 11:10 AM the food wasn't there they told him the order didn't even exist when I called and spoke to the manager after repeating my order like he was going to fix the issue. He said that they threw it away because of hot food standards and I'm placed orders in the past where they keep the food there waiting for the customer to pick up even if it's is an hour past the time it was ready, but in this case it wasn't an hour past ready and the manager said they throw food away after an hour so he lied and then didn't even try to make the breakfast order for us getting breakfast from Chick-fil-A is a terrible struggle. It's fast food - there's nothing to write home about. However, mobile ordering is a nightmare and it DOES NOT save you any time. I am not a fan of the fact that they won't send the order to the kitchen unless you click that you're near or at the restaurant, even AFTER you have ordered. I get they want to get your food to you as fresh as possible but that's why other mobile ordering apps tell you the est wait time -- to manage expectations and plan ahead! Once I get to the counter to let one person know I am there to pick up my food, they told me it will be a few mins. A few mins later, the app buzzed and said my order was complete but no one called my name or let me know that it was ready, despite me standing at the counter. I am not away somewhere else. I finally managed to get someone else to re-acknowledge that I was waiting for my food. The employee walked over to their pick up section (which is hidden from the public) and grabs it!
