Stopped in our our drive from North Carolina to Northern Virginia. We prefer Panera to typical fast food because they have more health-conscious offerings. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We both got salads and sat by the fireplace.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Food was fine although, as others have mentioned, the dining area wasn't necessarily the cleanest that we've seen.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] No major complaints, though. We'd stop in at this or other Paneras again.

    Mediterranean bowl with chicken.

I ordered a Mediterranean bowl with chicken. The food was ready fast and the staff was friendly. The food was as expected and good. The temperature inside is pretty cold, but it's 95 outside right now, so I'm not complaining. Good experience overall.

I had a hard as a rock piece that turned out to be the stalk of the cabbage. The part no one eats!

Cold soup, out of diet soda and no one had a clue about customer service or quality. I do not recommend this establishment.

We got a pepperoni pizza, loaded tater tots, mild lemon pepper wings, a beef patty with pepperoni and cheese, and garlic bread bites. They estimated that the order would take 15-20 minutes to make and when we arrived 17 minutes later they told me they needed five more minutes. They were nice enough to bring it out to the car once it was ready. So we wanted pizza and I think that was the best item that we had. The pizza was piping hot with plenty of cheesy goodness. The sauce was slight sweet and the ratio of sauce to cheese was good. The crust was a good thickness and it was light and slightly chewy. Everything else sort of missed the mark. The wings were ok but not very crispy. The stuffed tater tots tasted like a loaded baked potato, which was great but they also weren't crisp on the outside, which was what I was expecting. The garlic bread bites tasted stale. They were overly chewy and the garlic parmesan topping was inconsistently covering them. The beef patty looked like a frozen patty from the grocery store that had been sliced open with pepperoni and cheese stuffed inside. It looked pretty pitiful and wasn't worth $2 extra for the pepperoni and cheese. I would come here again, but next time, I would only get pizza.

But eventually my curiosity got the best of me so I decided to order some pizza and cheese sticks And a Gyro. The cheese pizza is pretty similar to Costco pizza. Which is not an insult in any way, shape or form, because in my opinion, Costco pizza is some of the best there is. The pepperoni is also similar, so this in my opinion is pretty much the perfect combination of not quite thin and not quite thick crust. It is very tasty and it is what we order when we don't feel like driving all the way up to Costco. The cheese sticks were average, which is okay. The Gyro, though was friggin awesome. I don't know if I was just starving that day or if they really just make a very very good Gyro. I've ordered it twice more since then just because it is a really tasty lamb Gyro in my opinion. I am disappointed that we've lived here for so long, and I let the exterior cloud my judgment so it has taken me this long to actually try this place.

My friends and I visited for lunch and were impressed with everything we ordered. Great portion size at a reasonable price. This establishment is top notch for burgers and has a full menu with many choices from salads, wraps and subs. The chicken Philly is one of the best I ever had. A unique creation called the Grubrito is huge and features a blending of flavors including pork belly (smoked on site) a good casual atmosphere. Truly a place where the locals go for a great lunch, dinner or to just unwind. Sorry no pics of the food, it was nicely presented, we were all hungry and just dove into our food.

But if you're after some great brisket to take home and enjoy, this just might be your spot! Tucked away in the back corner of a small plaza, Allman's is an unassuming spot that shares space with what looks like an outdoor-gear shop. The owner's a genuinely good-natured guy who chats with customers while preparing orders -- the kind of local touch you can't fake. I ordered a pound of brisket with a pint of coleslaw and BBQ beans. The brisket was fall-apart tender and juicy. The beans were a bit runny, so I didn't expect much -- but the flavor won me over. And the coleslaw? Solid. Price-wise, it felt cheaper than its Route 19 competitors. So in the end, Allman's takes the top spot for brisket in the area.
