S8 Tom Kha Soup and A11 Calamari
    Amy M.

Stopped by right at 11 on a weekday morning and there was only one other person in the restaurant, waiting for his pickup order, so we were seated almost immediately. The inside of the restaurant is really cute and zen, so it was pretty nice looking. Dark accents and very tidy looking. I ordered the Thai iced coffee, tom kha soup with chicken, and the cashew chicken. My friend ordered the calamari, some noodles with tofu, and the Thai iced tea. The iced coffee was beautiful and pretty tasty. I enjoyed it very much. The calamari was sort of like an onion ring... sort of easy to bite through at first, but then you end up with a long stringy piece of rubber hanging out of your mouth. The tempura absorbed way too much oil, so it mostly tasted like oily batter. The sweet chili sauce was good though. I wouldn't order it again. The soup tasted delicious, but I feel like I would actually opt for tofu next time. The chicken was tasty, but it's cut in such long strips, It's really hard to eat. It's in a bowl so you can't really cut it very well and the spoons they serve it with are huge circles. I weirdly felt like the combination of really long pieces of meat and a really wide spoon made it where I kept dropping food down my front because I just couldn't use the spoons without getting meat shoved halfway down my throat. It was just really weird. I would definitely order it to go, though, or order it with smaller chunks of tofu next time. The cashew chicken was pretty good. Because it was in a plate I had an easier time cutting it into manageable chunks, and the flavor was pretty good. I do feel like it was a really small portion for the price that we paid. I've been eating at a certain local Mongolian barbecue place lately And for the exact same price, I can have a giant bowl of rice and a mixture of vegetables and meat. For a comparable flavor, it just doesn't seem like as good of a use of my money. I would never say no to going back here, but I probably would not go out of my way to come here again versus some similar places.

Solid Thai restaurant. Crispy spring rolls and Thai noodle soup with spicy garlic broth were the favorites. Service was efficient. Restaurant appeared clean and orderly. A video of a Thailand market played in the background, which was enjoyable and prompted conversation. A little tip, if you're feeling under the weather I really think the spicy garlic broth would be helpful. I ordered just the broth to go to freeze.

Ok, first let me say this. I understand different regions of Thailand may have different versions of the same dishes. I had Thai food in Thailand and all over the world. I will say I am a bit biased as to my taste buds due to my previous experience with Thai food. Service was great and the food delivered in less than 10 mins after ordering to-go. The Ambiance appeared cozy and quiet. Here's my reasoning for the low rating: The Thai basil fried rice was absolutely flavorless, bland doesn't describe the lack of flavor enough. There was no basil, there was no salt or MSG, there was just enough soy sauce to color the rice from white to just a smidgen darker white, not the traditional slight sweetness I'm typically used to and the rice was soggy. The red curry was not spicy although it was listed as spicy (I like spicy food so I don't mind heat), it had more coconut milk flavor than red curry flavor so the coconut milk was much more pronounced instead of a good balance. The Tom Yum soup was probably the best but still not what I am used to flavor wise. The broth was a bit watery and in my personal experience the broth would have a bit more body to it with a slight cloudiness to it. I would say I think they Americanize their flavor and heat to appeal to the area, maybe, I don't know. But would I come back? I believe every place deserves a second chance cause the cooks could be different but if it's the same outcome this place is coming off of my list. I ended up throwing away the rice cause I just couldn't stomach flavorless, soggy rice that was nothing more than rice, chicken, and white onions.

Service was great and fast! Loved the decor overall! The food was tasty as well. A little greasy and some of my food was hot while the other was warm at best. But overall it was flavorful and portioned nicely. Would absolutely eat there again!

Curry puffs were not as expected. Very crispy on the outside but all the ingredients inside blend together so hard to get the flavor. Fried rice was nicely cooked.

I was in the mood for shrimp pad Thai and saw that this place had good reviews. Everything was very tasty! The summer rolls were nice and fresh with a delicious peanut sauce. The pad Thai was a good portion and very flavorful. I would definitely order again.

The five stars is solely based on the Bangkok chicken, that dish is bomb!!!! Service was great and ambiance was wonderful. Seriously though, I could die a happy man if I ate that Bangkok chicken everyday for the rest of my life.

Amazing service and quality food. This was the first spot I ate at when I moved to Chester and I've been going here EVERY WEEKEND SINCE. The food quality here is great. Always fresh, flavorful and balanced. I always order the Spicy Garlic Broth Noodle Soup or the Num Num Noodles but the other dishes are great too. The Summer rolls are my go-to for a light and fresh appetizer. On this occasion, I ordered the cheesecake to cap off my dinner and IT WAS THEE BEST CHEESECAKE IVE EVER HAD. I've also ordered their food for Takeout and the quality did not suffer. It is just as good when you get home as it is in the restaurant 10/10 every single time.. I promise you won't be disappointed here.

    Pad See Ew

My wife and I after a day filled with chores and activities to assist the youngest prepare for her wedding were at the hotel trying to decide where to have dinner this Friday evening. My wife suggested a sandwich place. Sensing I wasn't digging the idea of going to a deli for dinner, she asked me where I would like to go. After checking out Yelp and the reviews for Bangkok Thai, I submitted we try Thai for dinner and she agreed. I initially called to see if they offer dining in or just take-out/delivery...you just can't be sure during the COVID era. Fortunately, they have a dine in option. It was early for dinner when we got there and we were promptly seated by a cheerful server. We perused the menu and decided to order fresh spring rolls as an appetizer, Pad See Ew with tofu for my wife and Drunken Noodles with beef for me. When our server asked me about spice level, I asked if their levels are Thai spicy or American spicy. She said they can make it Thai spicy or super spicy...I opted for Thai spicy. We both liked the fresh spring rolls and the peanut sauce it came with. The rolls had Thai basil and mint in it which we like but don't often see. The peanut sauce had just the right mix of hoisin sauce and peanut butter and complemented the rolls very well. My wife liked her dish but wished it had some spice...she thought it would have some spiciness even at a mild level but it didn't. My drunken noodles were spicy, made me sweat, but the spiciness didn't take away from the flavors. All in all, we are quite pleased with their cuisine...brought us back to our visit to Bangkok almost a decade ago. Dinner for 2 came out to just over $36 with tip.
