Green Goddess Salad and Bread (Grubhub) delivered on a rainy day in Charleston, SC.
    Diane C.

Thursday April 11th, Charleston, SC experienced torrential rains. We were staying in an Airbnb. We didn't have time to food shop, so no food in the fridge. Luckily, Grubhub was delivering : D We ordered: Green Goddess Chicken Cobb Salads, Caesar Salad With Chicken, Strawberry Poppyseed Chicken Salad, Toasted Frontega Chicken Sandwich, Cream Of Chicken & Wild Rice Soups, Fruit Cups and Baguettes. Despite the horrendous weather, the food was delivered in a very timely manner. The young man who delivered the food was very sweet. The entire food order was correct. All the food was very good. Thank you Panera for saving the day.

Average Panera location at best. The employees were pleasant and asked if we needed any help. Restaurant appeared to be clean and they have plenty of tables. Parking is available on two sides of the building (they're on the corner of a small strip of businesses). Their prices have gone up, to the point that I don't see Panera as a good option any longer. Most of the Pick 2 options will now cost around $20 per person. Our food was ready for pick-up in about five minutes. But appears they messed up our order. Instead of a full size Baja bowl and half salad and half flatbread pizza, we got a half Baja and full flatbread. The Baja was good, just not much to it, especially for $11. The half salad wasn't very good; lots of the white center part of the lettuce head - blah. The flatbread was average; greasy pepperoni and cheese.

    Hair in my soup

THE WORST Panera I have ever been to it was appalling. They were out of everything, had no CO2 in the soda machine, the worker at the front was coughing and wearing a mask UNDER HIS NOSE, and there was a HAIR in my soup. To make it worse, when we got our order, we asked for bread not chips and they were out of bread. Want my money back... this place is too expensive to be that inadequate. I will never be coming back.

Came here for lunch and we were excited to see the new changes Panera has made to their menu. Unfortunately, we were not completely satisfied. Our came quickly and the cashier ringing us up was very nice. Our food was ok. Nothing special. I had a steak sandwich which was very alright, my kids loved their Mac n cheese. But their grilled cheese was cold and the cheese wasn't even melted which I don't really understand. And my husband had the BLT which was pretty gross actually. It's served cold which he didn't realize when he ordered it but the bacon was literally just bacon that had come out of a fridge. It wasn't crispy and it had congealed grease on it because it had been in the refrigerator. That was a bummer because he was excited for that sandwich. I will say the baguette was delicious. I would order just their bread, it was so good.

Southern hospitality is alive here. The girl that waited on us was super friendly and courteous. That bumped the score up a full point. The coffee was good but the food was pretty mediocre. Not much else to say. Customer service got a 5, food got a 2-3. ENJOY???

Oh the glory of morning bread and pastries!

Not only did they mess up my sandwich order twice, but mid order a co worker came up and started a conversation with the cashier.

I got the Chicken Shawarma Platter since that's what I saw mentioned the most in reviews. The chicken with dry, the "garlic sauce" was basically mayo, the rice was also dry and wasn't necessarily a flavor I would pick. There was one dolmas (even though the menu says 2), and it was good (to be fair, I didn't say anything about it). I imagine their greek salad would be good because the small side salad on the plate was good. For $16 though, it was pretty disappointing. When I think platter, I think more like sharing size, but this was pretty comparable to most places one person meal. I didn't finish it, but mostly because it was really dry and didn't taste great. We also got fried pickles (okay, but pretty greasy and they could really use some kind of dipping sauce), the hubs got the Ribeye Philly, he said it needed some kind of sauce and that he didn't feel the need to come back, so... nothing noteworthy. The kids got chicken fingers and fries. They polished off the fries (they were good!) but left most of the chicken fingers, I didn't try them, so... and lastly, the ambiance... if I had to pick between here and somewhere like Kairos, I'd pick Kairos... it's cleaner, they have music going, and my kids like to watch the videos of people making the kairos food. Med Diner has no music, the vibe is a bit weird (like someone cut out the middle back of all the chairs with like a saw or something), it feels a little thrown together and sad. I saw a handful of people go through the drive through while we were there, so maybe there's just something else they are better known for and we hit an off day. Just not my vibe.

This is a carryout out only business. They have a large and diverse menu with pizza, pastas, sandwiches, desserts and fries. I tried one of the $12 lunch specials. It was spaghetti with meat sauce, garlic bread and a drink. The portions were huge! Service was friendly and fast. The pasta and sauce were very good as was the toasted garlic bread. They have tiramisu! A man order some and took a little bite before leaving. He loved it! My only negative is that they don't offer dine in service. I recommend Rosamarino's. The food is very good and at a good/value price. I will be back to try more of their delicious menu.

We ordered the chicken parm sub lunch special, which came with crispy fries and a bottle of water for $12. The portions were generous--plenty for both of us--making it an incredible deal at just $6 per person. As a former Connecticut resident who lived just outside NYC, I've struggled to find good Italian food in Charleston, but this place was spot on. Fresh bread, delicious sauce and tasty chicken. It's a small takeout spot with limited seating, but the food speaks for itself. Next up, we're trying the pizza--fingers crossed, since good pizza in Charleston has been hard to come by!
