I had been a long time Panera eater while I lived in New Jersey. When one opened near my new home by Coosaw Creek, my wife and I were excited about checking it out. The first time we went our order was not what was we got. No chicken on the salad, cold soup and no utensils. We gave it a second chance a couple months later, figuring they need to work out the bugs. The second time was worse, we didn't get the food we ordered and the manager brought bad customer service to a level I didn't think possible. At least 6 months had passed and we got a coupon for 25% off, my wife and I figured why don't we give it another chance. Big mistake, ordered the food, got a text message that our food was ready on my way to the store. Well all the food was not present, I called and was told I had to come in for a refund. Well I thought customer service could not get worse then our previous encounters, I could not be more wrong. Bottom line we will never order food from this restaurant again, you too should avoid it. read more

The food was really good compared to other Panera Bread locations! However, when I arrived it seemed as the employees were beginning closing work at 7:15 although they close at 9. The girl at the register seems annoyed that we were there and was generally just unfriendly, the floors around where we were sitting were being mopped, and the manager was talking very loudly right next to us. read more

It's unfortunate I have to write this. I've been coming to this Panera for a few years and conveniently work right around the corner from this location. I would enjoy picking up my breakfast and heading to work in the mornings. Today is the last day I will be going to this location. The last month or two, there has been a new girl working the counter who not only shows but verbalizes how much she doesn't want to do her job. Walking in, she was leaning over the counter with her butt crack out. She noticed someone was coming in and immediately rolled her eyes and got up. Once I told her I wanted a bagel toasted she said "This is the last bagel I'm toasting today" loud enough so her coworkers and I knew she wasn't going to do her job anymore... it was very awkward for me. It made me feel like I should get something easier for her to do... Also it seems like her coworkers are used to her attitude because they all stayed silent, didn't acknowledge her, and continued working. This certainly wasn't the only time I've seen this employee act like this in front of other customers. I've had so many good experiences at this Panera and the last few months it hasn't been nearly as pleasant.... read more

This Panera location always has consistent food and service. It is usually quite busy for breakfast and lunch. The staff is always friendly, and the service is fast. Today I had the roasted tomato & feta baked egg soufflé and hazelnut coffee. read more

I occassionally come to Panera for lunch and to do work on my laptop and use their free Wi-Fi. It is your typical Panera, with delicious food that's not too expensive. The staff is friendly and the location is good, close to the mall and a bunch of other stuff. My biggest complaint is that it is always freezing inside. I always wind up wearing my jacket whenever I eat here, regardless of the season. read more

Panera is usually good but this location is awful. We made an order for delivery and they forgot one of the items. I called and let them know and they were able to deliver the soup later. I understand mistakes can be made so that didn't bother me. But when the delivery guy came to the door he was really rude and told us that it was our fault. I go here a lot because I like to study at coffee shops and its also on my way to work in the early AM...but I'm not in love with it. The coffee has been awfully watery for the past couple of weeks. Food is sub par. If you get something with bread its good because the bread is good...but if you get, like, a salad or something I would describe it as just "okay". We placed a delivery from the Panera off Sam Rittenburg and have never had a problem until today. We had our food delivered by Brandy who was very rude. She rolled her eyes and when told to have a good day responded with "yep". Very disappointed and surprised. If you don't enjoy your job, get a new one, or at least pretend you do. read more

The food here is good. The location is convenient. Portions are fair. The only issue I have with this place is two out of the three times I have gotten food to go, I was missing something I ordered. Also, they forget ingredients in their meals they advertise. I ordered french onion soup with a bread bowl, and both times they forgot the sourdough bread bowl. Along with forgetting the bowl, they forgot to put cheese in my french onion soup. I won't be going back to this Panera Bread. I'd rather drive a few more miles to a different Panera Bread and get my order in full the first time. I scored 2 stars because the food is good but, getting my full order is a problem here. read more

I come to Panera a good bit, I absolutely love the food. But the service and staff at this location is absolutely horrendous. I had a 20 percent off for my pick 2, the cashier said that doesn't work in store (the email promotion said that it did). The girl in front of me came back and apparently they sold her a breakfast sandwich past the time they were supposed to? Didn't give her a refund and the manager didn't offer her a replacement and simply told her they couldn't sell her that past that time even though she already paid for it. Crazy! read more

One of my favorite places to go eat when I'm in a rush. Once you go in and order the food is ready in like 5 minutes no lie! And the food is great! My order is usually PICK 2 deal which I get a salad and soup. Which both are decent portions! Love Panera! read more

Unfortunately this was one of the locations without the self checkout kiosks so I had to place my order with Shari who didn't seem to happy. She really was rushing me as I tried to tell her what I wanted in my salad she kept rapid fire asking me if I want a drink with that before I could finish ordering my food. After ordering I went to get iced tea which was empty. Butter was also empty. Food was ready promptly and correctly which was the only highlight for this Panera location. Hope they get the kiosks soon or friendlier cashiers. read more

This is probably my second time ever being to a Panera Bread and I was pretty disappointed. I had chicken soup and a Mediterranean veggie panini. I requested no feta and to have it served hot. When my buzzer went off, I stood there a good 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged me. I verified my order and that there was no feta cheese. When I got to my car, I double checked and found feta. I went back in to have them fix it. I checked the remade sandwich, and it was cold. It took THREE attempts to get my order right. The sandwich was pretty good and the soup was OK. Based on this experience, it will probably be a while until I give this chain another chance. read more

This place and the employees are a disaster. Ordered 2 salads, 2 drinks, 2 bagels, and a muffin. Not too hard. No special orders. They forgot a drink so I went back up and got it. Then they gave us the wrong salads. Forgot the bagels and the muffin. Turns out they didn't even have bagels left. It's Monday at 6:30pm and not crowded. read more

Panera is Panera. Good food for a quick lunch. I recently tried the Mediterranean quinoa salad with kale. I was light but had a ton of flavor. I don't look to eat kale but I would order this again. Why only 3 stars?? Well, you can always count on the employees running the registers to touch their nose, face, hair, and then get your bagel or pastry. No handwashing. Yes, you're using deli paper, but that deli paper you touched is full of your snot and touching my food. Advice: watch them at the register then ask them to please wash their hands before getting your pastry, bread, or bagel. read more

Panera has been a reasonable "go to" for a workday or shopping day lunch. Recently I ordered a vegan quinoa bowl and was soooo disappointed. The picture on the website menu looked great, although I know you can't really judge on that photo. This was a bowl full of broth (flavorful, but thin) and a small scoop of quinoa with a few spinach leaves tossed on top. If I am ordering a VEGAN (read MEATLESS) meal for $9 I would think they could really load it up with grains and veggies, but this was far from the case. It was a total ripoff. I emailed the store and got no response. Sorry to say that Panera has fallen way down on my list of "go to's" after this. The inattention to customer service bothers me more than the less than satisfying meal. read more

My turkey BLT had RAW bacon on it. Disgusting. Ruined the whole meal. I've eaten here before and it has always been good. Then got chastised for not putting my beeper in the basket. I live on Edisto--approx. 40+ miles from Panera. I go into Charleston once every week or so and without fail-go to Panera. Depending on time is what I order. Bagels and cream cheese--OH MY !! The chicken salad is just so good ( sandwich as well as the Asian Sesame ) NEVER leave without a Cobblestone Muffin ( that is a sin forgotten to be written in the Commandments of Life! ) Am headed in tomorrow to be with a friend at the local Hospital while her Hub has a Surgical procedure. As a big fan of Panera's since it opened in W. Ashley years ago, I am extremely disappointed with their new menu and prices. For years I've been ordering a half sandwich and half salad which I always enjoyed. Last week I ordered the same and was shocked by the price of $13.87 (including a small tea). In the past I paid just over $8. Also, when the buzzer went off, I stood by the pickup window with no one calling out my order. I had to figure out what tray was mine and it wasn't correct. My friend also had an incorrect order. We both had garden salads and they had pickled onions on top and some kind of mystery dressing which was not good. At the bottom of the salad bowl the dressing was very spicey. My friend returned hers and asked for a replacement I spoke with the manager and asked about the new prices- a half sandwich was only about $.25 less than the whole sandwich. Very strange-doesn't make sense. She said the increase in prices was due to Panera now using local resources. I'm not sure I'll be returning anytime soon. read more
