Incredible service and experience at the Johnnie Dodds location. This location knows how to provide outstanding customer service from start to finish. We were greeted upon entering and throughout our meal. Employees were circulating checking to ensure we had a great experience. The food was fresh, hot and perfectly cooked. They have a play area for the kids and of course ice cream:) The restaurant is clean and well organized. I haven't been inside a Chick-fil-A to eat and was pleasantly surprised to have such a great experience in a fast food restaurant. The service level and employees here are very kind and exactly what you would expect at a Chick-fil-A. They are very busy especially at normal meal times. The drive-thru is congested and a bit confusing at first. It does move quickly, but figuring out how to get out after receiving your order and with traffic congestion it can take some time. read more

I called this location to get a receipt for a transaction the other day and was told they wouldn't be able to get me a copy. I have the total, time, card used and day and was told I couldn't get a receipt for a transaction done through the drive through? I'd really appreciate someone retrieving a copy as I work in the service industry and can produce copies of receipts going back to when we first open 9 years ago. I'm from Atlanta and a regular at any and every Chick-fil-A and this was service-wise the worst I've seen. I called ahead for a small catering order and everything was sorted over the phone with no issue. The associate advised I come inside vs. drive-thru so I did. I was the only one waiting in line and with 15 people working behind the counter not one person acknowledged me. Not one. I stood there waiting for acknowledgement and then finally got someone's attention by speaking to them first. The manager was just standing there the entire time. Staring and looking lost. Eventually we were just in a staring contest. Like hello?! Whatever happened to customer service?! I need to pay, get my things and leave. The management needs to be replaced in this store---that's the truth. I'm giving one extra star for the guy who brought my order to my car. read more

When I came here today, the location was so busy you could barely get in the parking lot. They were using employees to help direct traffic. I sadly resigned myself for a long wait. Surprisingly, I didn't have to wait long at all! The line moved quickly and I got my food in no time! Other fast food restaurants could take notes from Chick-fil-a! I don't know how they do it! My only complaint is that they didn't have the 6 count chick-n-minis that the location near me carries. Those things are so good I want as many as I can get! Oh well. I've been to this Chick-Fil-A a few times, and while I'm no regular, I haven't had a bad experience. I have always gone inside to order and eat, because the drive-thru is a little scary! It's a double-lane drive thru and always backed up, so workers go outside with iPads and take orders to have it ready for cars. It can be a little tough to get in and out with the entrance/exit and double drive thru being so close together. The workers and staff are very nice and my food has always come out quickly when I've ordered and eaten inside. I have also been here a few times to work and use their wi-fi. It's a great option for when you want free wi-fi but also want a meal. Tip: If you order a kid's meal, trade in the little book or toy for a small sized cup of ice cream. read more

As someone who loves cfa, (goes there at least 3 times a week) , and worked my first job there, I am genuinely sad to leave this review. After about 7 things going wrong at this location, I have to say this is genuinely the worst chick fil a I've been to in all of America. The chicken tastes dry and rubbery, the management is weird and uncomfortable (besides one of their managers, he is really friendly) and they're overall super stingy with everything (giving you less nuggets than you ordered, the wrong size/ type of drink, barely any sauce, shall I go on?) I live really close to this location but most of the time will drive to Long Point or the North Mount Pleasant location to avoid this one. I highly recommend those two other locations if you're willing to drive a little further! I promise it'll be worth it and your food/ experience will be better. Was waiting in line for my food and a worker was carrying out a loaded barrel of trash bags and went in a narrow space between my car and another. this caused the barrel and trash to fall on my car. Luckily there wasn't a dent from the barrel falling on the car or scratches from the trash but what was disappointing was the kid almost laughed when he spilled it. He didn't say sorry he only said "it barely hit it." and just kept going. First, we were completely taken back with this establishment's COVID-19 safety protocols!. The girl who was handing out the food in line had a mask on but it kept falling off. She also kept touching her face and then touching the bags of food, straws, cups, etc. Some employees in line were not wearing masks around their faces at all ( around their mouths only). Chicken filets on sandwiches were the size of a silver dollar. We had to lift the bun to make sure it was there. Frosted lemonades were mostly vanilla ice cream, and served in a small paper cup instead of the normal clear plastic ones. Fries were cold and filled well below the top of the box. Disappointing service and quality of food. Cleanliness not all that great either. I came here at 10:00 AM on a Friday morning. There weren't that many people there. Maybe they were backed up or short staffed, but it took a while before my order was taken by a young man who looked like he had better things to do in life than work. Once I was done ordering, I was waiting for my coffee at the counter but it was taking forever, so decided to sit down and wait. Plus I felt like I was in the way of other patrons. After about 10 minutes, I walked back up to the counter and spoke with a gentleman who seem to be the manager, asking him if my order was forgotten or was near to ready. His response was "yeah it's coming". I waited at my greasy table, minus coffee or food, for 15 minutes. My food was brought to me by the same young man, as well as my coffee. The chicken breakfast sandwich I got was room temperature, tiny piece of chicken, cheese and chicken had shifted to one side only. At least the potatoes were good. Quick pitstop on the way out, to discover that the ladies bathroom definitely needed some attention. This was a real disappointment compared to the west Ashley location. read more

As a parent with respectable acumen in the kitchen, I feel like a failure visiting a fast food establishment....except at Chick-fil-A! Here, they can enjoy grilled nuggets - as opposed to various chicken parts blended together and emulsified in chicken fat and stamped out in a homogenous shape before frying in a vat of chicken fat. Also, we can opt for fresh chopped fruit instead of fries. After all that nutritious food, the monkeys can burn off a few calories in the community inoculation playpen (with onsite hand sanitizer). While I don't see eye to eye with some of their policies like closing on Sunday among others - I want the Lord's chicken available to me 24-7, I can really get behind some of their other initiatives such as coffeewithastory.com to ensure family farmers have access to markets with less exploitation....plus, I know they take good care of their employees too (Sundays off, scholarships, promotion tracts...). read more

The lady who brought his food asked why I didn't have food and then asked if I could afford food then asked if we needed a knife to cut his sandwich in half. I responded by telling her I can afford the food no problem and I'm waiting on my mobile order. I was wearing a new shirt and nice shorts so there was nothing in the situation that indicated that I couldn't afford to purchase anything. I hate the double drive thru line at this BUSY location. That's why I always go inside, but it's busy inside too. I know it's Saturday just after 9am. But they can't handle the large drive thru business as I watched multiple managers & staff run food out to cars. I don't understand their method, 2 drive thru lines staffed with 3 people outside, then delivering orders at the window and running back out with more orders. On top of all that, drive thru customers then walked inside to get their order. The double drive thru is crazy, it makes parking difficult as you usually are blocked in by drive thru vehicles. Normally this is my go to chik fil a in the Charleston area, but the past two times I have been my order has been incorrect. My usual is a spicy chicken sand which with pepper jack cheese and no pickles, and instead I was given a regular chicken sandwich with Montgomery jack cheese and a regular spicy chicken deluxe (I cannot stand tomato's and the deluxe has tomatoes and lettuce which I did not want). I understand that it is during Covid and the drive through is always super busy, but having your meal be wrong twice in a row is pretty frustrating :( read more
