This food truck is a 10/10. You can order at the truck window or at the self-kiosk inside the patio area they have next to the truck. We sat to eat in the patio and thankfully they had fans running cuz it was hot! The patio has a good amount of seating and was really cute. My chicken bowl was amazing. This is probably the best greek food I've had in a long time. My husband finished his chicken gyro and feta fries so quick. Our drink is a peach lemonade (they can make other lemonade flavors) and was sooo refreshing and delicious. We would go back for the lemonade alone. Stopped here with family who were craving Greek food. This is a food truck w an outdoor seating area rather than a brick and mortar restaurant, but hey, who cares as long as the food is delicious and the weather is good! The owner was friendly and polite, answered all our questions patiently and served us quickly. I noticed they'd made " The Best of " list for 2025 and rightfully so. I had the falafel with Greek salad, others had "The Hillbilly" and a gyro with Greek potatoes respectively. We all raved about how good it was. The gyro wrap actually had French fries inside the wrap, which was a tasty twist. And the seating outside on a slightly breezy beautiful May evening made for a perfect supper after being stuck inside all day. Prices were reasonable too, and portion sizes were good. I'd definately recommend this place. It is tucked away off Savannah Hwy ( actually off Magnolia Rd, in a neighborhood with both residences and businesses.) Lovely little food truck with shaded outdoor dining area is cooled by mist fans. Built my own platter and holy smokes is that lamb DELICIOUS! It was juicy and seasoned so beautifully. Having tried the North Charleston Platia location, I was surprised that this one was merely a takeout with a few outdoor seats. The pickup experience was not particularly smooth, with some inconsistent information between the various online options and their in-person signage leaving me wondering if anyone was actually there at all. Eventually, someone else got their attention, and a person who spoke very little English managed to get me my food. I wasn't thrilled with my decision to order a salad; one wants to eat healthy of course, but it had so many cucumbers and olives and so little lettuce that it wasn't really what I was hoping for. I ended up using the pita I got from my pita and dips appetizer a lot to eat the falafel and limited salad, which makes me think I should have just gotten a wrap anyway. The fries on the side were lightly breaded and dusted with oregano, which is a distinctive and delicious way to eat fries. On a nice day and with a different order, I could perhaps do better. Went here tonight after placing an online order- the menu is very misleading/ price $ & description for the food is bad. I ordered the Classic Gyro and it stated that it had the toppings below but The fries were inside the gyro instead of the side. Used to order from here and then stopped. Tonight I remembered why - the assembly and packaging of delivery orders is absolutely terrible. Tonight we ordered a plate, two salads, a side of falafel and a side of pita and over 50% was packaged poorly. Despite the fact our delivery was relatively quick in under 30 minutes, our food was soggy, overdressed and nearly inedible. I ordered the Greek Cesar salad and asked for a side of Greek vinaigrette ( which I did not get) and the salad arrived pre dressed and completely swimming in dressing. I'm not sure why you would pre dress a shredded lettuce salad. The platter was advertised with an image of two separate dips but mine arrived with barely half of one total dip. It also came in a paper box that was falling apart and half of the meat ended up in the bottom of the delivery box. Additionally the Greek salad and the platter came with pita but it was placed in the containers, making it completely soggy by the time it arrived. It's sad bc the food has good flavor but the delivery is just terrible. read more

This is a cute place tucked away near behind a community center near Avondale. It is a very laid back place with some of the best gyros in town. They also have fun lemonade drinks and some canned alcohol. The service is typically fast and the employees are helpful. You order at the window and they will bring the food to the table. We love Platia! My husband's mom is Greek and it gets their family's seal of approval. We always grab to go but they do have outside seating. Parking is easy and the seating is shaded. Lots of pretty plants make the area nice. You can either order from the self serve screen or if someone is in the trailer you can order there. The service is quick and friendly. Loved the food truck set up with tables, fan and roof covering- we were able to get out of the sun and our baby had the fan on her the entire time making our family super comfortable. Platia restaurant is on Dorchester Road next to the planet fitness in an area that looks like it's being revitalized. The restaurant has outdoor seating and plenty of indoor seating for such a small place. A gentleman greeted us as soon as we came in and was very gregarious, friendly and helpful with the menu. He was super respectful to every one of the elderly people that came in and out. The food was delicious! We both got the platter and everything was very fresh and tasty. We look forward to going back and try and more things. The falafel is delicious! We both got the lemonade, and it is very very tart. I really think this is a hidden gem! There seems to be a lot of Mediterranean restaurants in the area, but this one especially caught my eye. The overall venue is adorable with the small makeshift dining area with faux grass, hanging lighting, small bar games, and more. The food was okay. I had the lamb gyro, Greek fries, and baklava. I was super hungry so I would say my assessment is accurate. I prefer my gyros without fries inside, or at least if you are going to- still include proportionate toppings with the other ones. There was just about no lettuce and the tzatziki sauce was sort of paste-y like in texture. The pita bread was fairly good. There was not much lamb, especially considering it was an up charge. The Greek fries were fresh, a good small portion. They were a little unevenly cooked with some fries being kinda mushy and some more crisp. The baklava overall has something off with the flavoring. It overall tastes really nutty. Also, I guess they have to keep the baklava in the fridge and I did not like that. I prefer it not having been taken away from room temperature. It made it a little too chewy. Overall I feel like I ate bread and fries and k really wanted yummy lamb. Ultimately, I wouldn't avoid this place but I'm not sure I'll be back either. read more
