    So great!
    Craig S.

It sells out, so you'll need to get there early. In fact, checking Cold Shoulder Instagram story account will let you know if they're s/o (sold out). Hidden and Hard to find the small storefront next to Locals, but well worth the hunt as this place has the best sandwiches. Craig balances fresh ingredients, meats, delicious sauces, the best focaccia style bread! Super friendly guy! It's gourmet but worth the treat!

Believe the hype people!!! Craig is serving up top notch quality gourmet sandwiches. I wasn't able to RSVP for the Yelp event but after seeing so much great feedback I had to make the drive to WA Saturday morning to get us some sandwiches. I saw on Instagram that wagyu bologna was going to be the special and my friend Brian LOVES bologna so I knew this would be a special treat for him. I also picked up the vegetarian for Diane and the Classic for myself. I saw a pic where someone had added a side of the truffle cream with the classic so I did the same. And Diane and I were both happy with that decision because it was delicious. I know next time to add it!!! Craig and I got to chat it up while he made our sandwiches. He's as nice as can be and I wish him all the success. If you find yourself craving a sandwich, head to West Ashley and treat yourself to Cold Shoulder Gourmet.

There's nothing to not love about this small spot. It may be small in size, but it's big and bold in flavor! Only recommendation is to get there EARLY as they will sell out any time between 11-1 (at the latest) on the day(s) they are open. Chat with the owner - service and conversation was excellent! Cool spot, good vibes, leaves you wanting more after every visit!

The early bird gets the worm at Cold Shoulder Gourmet. When I heard about Cold Shoulder Gourmet, there were two themes that stuck with me: first, that these are the best sandwiches in Charleston, and second, that I need to get there before they sell out for the day (they're open from 8 am to 4 pm or until they sell out of sandwiches... and they always sell out of sandwiches). A little skeptical, I woke up early one Saturday to hunt down this hole-in-the-wall in West Ashley. The search was worth it, because the quality of food and service is unparalleled. The owner Craig immediately greeted me as I walked in. He recognized that it was my first time (that's how well he remembers his clientele), and was happy to walk me through the selection of sandwiches he had on display. I ended up going with the Gourmet and the Spicy 2.0. Both packed a punch with every bite, activating every taste bud and making me crave more. Your palate can immediately tell that Craig cares about quality, because the selection of meats, cheeses, and sauces is the finest. The focaccia bread might be the best I have ever had. Wake up early and make the drive. You won't regret buying one of these delectable sandwiches.

Overall: You simply must go. When I walked in, I was greeted by Craig. It is such a cute shop! Craig was an absolute pleasure to talk to. He spelled out all of the different options for what he could make. I feel like the word sandwich does not do what he created for me justice. It was one of the best lunches I have ever had. Do yourself a favor and go!

The Spicy!!!!! This little place is amazing!!!

I can't say enough about this place. The owner is so nice and we just love hanging and talking to him for a few while we are grabbing sandwiches. The sandwiches are DELICIOUS!!! Best sandwich in Charleston. This is a spot we hit every Sunday, and I might have to start hitting it more often. I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS PLACE! Go check him out!

As an avid foodie and someone who enjoys trying new restaurants I was very excited to try Cold Shoulder Gourmet. The owner greeted me upon arrival with a warm smile. I took a brief look at the menu and decided to order the Classic. I loved that the sandwich was wrapped at more of an Italian style so that it was easy to eat. The sun-dried tomatoes and balsamic pairs perfectly with the fresh mozzarella that they make. There's a hint of I believe is basil that's grown locally which will always a plus. It's probably one of the best sandwiches I've had in a while. I didn't snap pictures of the food today but I will the next time I come.

The moment I walked in the owner greeted me and is very friendly and courteous. I chose the classic and he made a fresh one right there in about four minutes. But before he made the sandwich he offered me a drink and I chose the espresso. The espresso beats out Starbucks by far. All the ingredients that he chooses to make his sandwiches with our ground locally as well as the meat. I took one bite of the sandwich and just kept wanting more and more. The bread is super soft and made locally and probably one of the best sandwiches I've ever have had in a long time. The sandwich that I chose, the classic was superbly delicious and I will be coming back.

This place is amazing! Craig is so personable and told us all about where he gets the meats, truffle and bread (delivered twice a day). I had the Spicy which was absolutely one of the best sandwiches I have ever had! The flavors were incredible! I will be back very soon... and I will be a regular!

UNREAL. With the nicest owner! Sandwich is unlike any other! A must stop and worth a drive.

Everyone must go to cold shoulder gourmet! It's not only delicious, but it's a self-owned small business. We talked with the owner when we went, and he graciously told us about all the sandwiches available and he was making them fresh when we got there. The sandwiches are made from focaccia, which is an soft Italian bread, similar to pizza dough. It was some of the best focaccia I've tasted. All the ingredients had deep flavor and tasted authentic. Highly recommend!

This place makes me want to crave for a sandwich!! Craig immediately greeted us once we came in and introduced all the sandwiches that was left to offer. All of the ingredients he used is of high quality and they do not lack in any quantity or flavor! This is probably the fluffiest focaccia bread I've ever eaten. When my friend and I brought it to our car, the smell of truffle made us exponentially hungry. I got a sandwich that was spicy, which I usually err on the side of not getting it... but I'm so happy that I chose it because it was delicious (and the spice gave the sandwich that small kick)!! Maybe having a chalkboard listing what each sandwiches have and crossing them off as it is sold out would be helpful to the customers. I didn't see a menu when I walked in, so Craig listed off all of the sandwiches... I mean all of them sounded delicious but I forgot which one was which. Not a single sandwich will disappoint you!

While we were in the mood for lunch, our breakfast items were soooo good. I am very picky with eating breakfast at lunch spots cuz they can easily be a miss, but this place hit the spot and then some. I ordered their Bacon, Egg, and Cheese roll and it was gooey, hot, and delicious. My husband ordered their breakfast burrito and ate every bite. Beware that it comes with jalapeños! The nice lady taking our order recommended their Hangover sandwich but I am not a big fan of hash-browns in my sandwiches but my husband's burrito was super similar to it. Seems like a family business. There is no dine-in seating inside, and there are a couple benches and chairs but no tables outside the storefront either, so plan to do take-out. Super small and humble spot, very clean and our meal with two drinks and two entrees was $28.50, abt 8.50 per entree and drinks were $3 each. We can't wait to be back for lunch!!

I yanked my back out and was looking forward to having a Bloody to go with my ibuprofen. Denied. I had the most delightful server, Caroline, who set me up for success with my order. I had selections in mind and she recommended them when I asked her what was good. The French Onion soup had an interesting seasoning profile that I could not place-but it was very good-no cheese or croutons, so maybe it should be onion soup instead. I loved the spin on the Benedict with a sweet potato roll, the eggs were perfectly over medium and the home fries were on time!!!
