This store is a very busy store. We have ordered from them several times,but have never had such horrible customer service today. Phone etiquette is still in existence(I hope...) but the amount of unprofessionalism that was displayed to me over the phone was horrendous. I was spoken too with such disregard to my issue. Shannon was clearly only worried about getting someone in trouble rather than fix the issue at hand. She made me hang up and call back to speak to a manager that she was clearly standing next to. Seating is nearly impossible if you come during a meal time, you know, when people actually eat.

This location has steadily gone downhill recently. Last time I was in (about a week ago), it was extremely slow and appeared unorganized. I'm unclear if this is a management or staffing issue, but there's a serious problem somewhere. Staff looks overwhelmed and it's a shame. I ordered a large Greek salad curbside today. Order was delivered quickly but when I got home I was extremely disappointed with the salad. It barely filled half the bowl had about 5 pieces of feta on it and I think there were more tomatoes than lettuce. For the price I paid it's not worth the money. Called to let them know I was disappointed and I got, "what would you like me to do". Customer service skills lacking, no apologies, I won't be ordering from there. With many businesses hurting from the Covid crisis one would think you would "up" your customer service game to keep people coming back. Check Panera off the list for take out! read more

Came in extremely hungry needing warm nourishing food. Ordered soup that came out lukewarm at best and cinnamon latte that tasted like just cinnamon poured in warm milk. The unfriendly shift supervisor told me that they serve soup at 174°. No way it was at that temperature. I usually like Panera but am giving 2 stars for the lame experience here and not one star because I know the soup at least tastes good. Oh and the fire was not on. Another bummer. read more

I was looking to make a catering order for fifty people and had a few questions. I called the number on the catering business card for five days straight with no answer and no voicemail. I was getting super frustrated. Eventually I did get in contact with someone, but not the catering manager. A store manager named Lauren was EXTREMELY HELPFUL!! Took my order herself, apologized for the hassle and was as nice as can be. Panera is so lucky to have her and it was nice to experience someone going out of their way to be HELPFUL! Lauren saved the day! She deserves all five stars, but the catering protocol gets 1 at best...they never even answered the phone (and I did not call at peak business times.) read more

We eat at Panera a lot. Today must have been a really bad day. My daughter ordered a frozen caramel drink online and went to pick it up in store. She took a drink and it just tasted off. She said her tasted like chemicals. Her sister also tasted it and said it's definitely chemicals. I'm always on the lookout for decent places where I can sit with my laptop and get a little work done. The food is pretty average as the other reviewers have noted though it's priced a bit higher than it should be. Coffee and drinks are decent but don't plan on getting work done especially during lunch. It's busy and noisy and worst of all they limit your internet usage during those hours. I have been to multiple Paneras in various cities & towns around the Northeast and typically have not been disappointed. That streak has been broken. I arrived at this location on a weekday morning and after waiting a few moments for the cashier to ask to take my order I request a breakfast sandwhich. She deadpans to me that they stop serving breakfast at 10:30 am. I glance at my handheld and its 10:37. I ask her if she is serious and she again deadpans would I like anything else. I was dumbfounded and got a cup of coffee to go. This down graded Panera to something that is no longer discernable from McDonalds as far as customer service. Standard Panera fare, nothing more nothing less. I understand this location is in a busy area but it was really noisy. Lots of little kids running around and yelling. The table and booths were not as tidy as other Panera locations. The food was decent, the staff was prompt and polite. Nothing much to say about this location, pretty average. read more

This review is about their chicken chipotle panini. I ordered togo, and when I opened the box the tops of both halves had slid off, there was melted cheese and sauce smeared everywhere, and the little bits of chicken had fallen out. I had to reassemble the sandwich which made a huge mess due to the the BBQ sauce. It looked like someone just threw it together then shoved it in a box: it was a huge mess. On top of that they didn't give me the side I wanted. Overall I was pretty disappointed. I get they are busy for dinner but geez. The sandwich tasted fine but it's too slippery. Even when it's nicely put together all the ingredients fall out. Mine had a bunch of small chicken pieces opposed to strips which likely added to it not holding together. read more

The first three items my friend & I tried to order we were told it would be 16 minutes till those items would be ready. I changed my selection & it was still 15 minutes till my beeper went off. Never being here before I went back to the cashier for my food.I was then told by the cashier my food was to be picked up at the other end of the counter. I get to the other end of the counter & wait another ten minutes with out anyone even making eye contact or "One moment, sir" Nothing, just standing around waiting. Oh, I forgot to tell you I tried to pour myself a cup of Hazelnut coffee & there was only half a cup left. My friend was so hungry he decided to get a danish to hold him over. Yes another 15 minute ordeal. At this point I told my friend I was sorry but could not take one more minute of this completely mediocre experience. We dropped our food & coffee off with the cashier & told them we had no idea how they stayed in business. I didn't stay for a $13.00 refund, I just had to get out of there as quickly as possible. I never saw so many clueless employees at one business. I realize its not there fault they were never trained properly, but there is no good reason why they have not been trained. I have heard good reviews about there other locations. However there are many other great restaurants in the area to take another chance on them. I have over 50 years experience in customer service, many of the years in the restaurant trade. This restaurant is in the top 10 worst restaurant experiences of my life. I've been here numerous times and probably would have given 4 stars. The food is good, exactly what I expect. Service prompt. HOWEVER, I'm giving it 2 stars based on restrooms. Horrible, dirty, a plunger laying on floor. I probably would have left had I gone before I ate. Second issue, why would they change bread served??? I am seriously seriously done with this Panera. I have held off for possibly years in writing this review for them because I am often one to award way too many chances. I realize that's it's during Covid and they are doing their best but tonight was a doozy. I ordered my food at 6:45pm for curbside pick up. I sat and waited outside for FORTY-FIVE minutes before deciding to see what the deal was. I checked on the rapid pick-up shelf and low and behold my food (though the order was wrong) had been sitting on the shelf and not brought out to my car. I have to wonder what the point of curbside pick-up is if they can't even manage to track when people arrive and if they ordered curbside or shelf pick-up?? Isn't the whole point so I DON'T have to go inside?? On top of this, as stated earlier, they forgot a smoothie that I ordered and even forgot to put a baguette in the bag with my soup. Rookie mistake, Panera. Will not be spending my money at the Camp Hill location anymore...and I suggest you don't either. read more

Disappointed...Taste was great as usual, but the portions seemed much smaller. I got a pick two and my son got a sandwich, and neither were very substantial. This Panera location is close to home. For years we've gone there for breakfast. For the past year we've experienced mixups and missed items. They seem to have a high-level of turnover. While it's close to home, it's a constant pain to have to turn around and go back to have something corrected. Today is my first review on yelp. I usually roll with the punches, because I once worked in the food service industry myself. But I've had enough. Today when I order the same breakfast sandwich I've eaten for three years, it was not on the menu. Instead they have a bunch of fancy new sandwiches. In order to get what I wanted, I had to pay a dollar extra to change the selection of bread and the egg. I decided to give the new sandwich a try. However much to my chagrin when I return home the order was screwed up. They gave me half of one of their fancy new buns. I'm done. I would consider management seriously look at their quality control. Also evaluate why they have such a high turnover. If you plan on stopping at Panera in Camphill lower your expectations. read more

This Panera Bread is at a great location. The food was hot and delicious. We were there on a Monday night (right after Passover/Easter weekend) and the place was packed. The line went fast and service was great. The manager kept the staff moving so everything was smooth. Love all the new drinks they have available. Blood orange lemonade was my favorite. read more

The Panera was my idea, and it's the heart-and-soul of this vignette. We walked in about 7:45pm, into a place manned (womaned?) by four teens who couldn't possibly manage to lead actual lives that involve actual things. Yes, it was my idea to amble over to Panera from B&N - it seemed like such a grand idea. L. ordered a chicken Caesar salad, and we ordered two mozzarella and tomato Paninis, to go. Smooth. Done. Case closed. We are the only folks in there since they are closing at 8p; well, us and the woman and child ordering ahead of us - an order that took FOREVER to be completed. An order that included two bakery items. I should have known. We eventually get our bag of stuff and headed to the car, disregarding everything that Joe Pesci taught us about drive thrus and/or takeaway. L. has no chicken on her sorry looking salad, X starts to eat her Panini before ripping it open to see what looks like 1/2 a cherry tomato and an area the might have once seen mozzarella. We turn around. The smooth brains 'working' in the place have locked the doors by now and began 'cleaning' up for the night. We knock, wave, and eventually get let back in to the scene of the crime. Each and every one of the girls is totally confused by the situation as presented, one that involves bread, tomatoes, cheese, and salad. They continue cleaning while debating ciabatta and baguette, cheese and tomato, salad and salad. Eventually the manager is brought into the movie from his cubicle in the back of the restaurant - the bar is very, very low to be a manager. He looks at the sandwiches, says "those are all wrong", and slowly begins the task of actually doing something. The girls are rallied, actual tomatoes are gotten, cheese is secured, and he manages to somehow make two new sandwiches. As for the missing chicken, one of the wedges pulls a little baggy of chicken from below the counter and shakes it out on L's salad. Classy as f***. L. decided she didn't want the salad anymore. I tell manager-man that we'll just take a refund on the salad. There are two rounds of questioning on the salad before he gives up. Two rounds before I pull my ServSafe qualification/culinary card and point out a few items. First, the chicken is clearly delivered pre-cooked in little baggies. Even with that, I don't want to see the chicken disgorged from said bag onto the salad. Take the salad down off the counter, do your thing, and re-deliver it. I think there's some old saying about sausage and making. Second, the minute we walked back in with a food issue, and there was a determination and agreement to make us some new stuff, you need to get the f**king minions to stop cleaning the counters, leaving the cleansing buckets and cleaners on the counters, and take care of us before going back to cleaning. Nope. Not these geniuses: scrubbing away, nasty sanitation buckets on the counter near the chicken - pretty bad. I understand they were in a hurry to close on a Sunday night and get home in time for Kickin' it with the Kardashians, but really? It was probably the worst encounter ever in a food place. I don't say that lightly. But, the good that comes from it all is that I'm even less likely to eat 'out' then I already have been of late. I'd like to thank the good folks at Panera Break, near 84 S 32nd ST, Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. p.s. Don't think me sexist. All the employees just happened to be girls. I had some French baguette side for my lunch. I had French baguette from somewhere else before. But French baguette from Panera bread was extremely chewy; not just chewy. Taste was average and I couldn't even enjoy because my focus was to tear off a piece by hand or to bite off a piece by my teeth. It was awful. Felt like I was eating rubber tire. I personally won't order bread from Panera bread. I'm entitled to my own opinion. Other people may like them. I didn't care for super/extremely chewy bread. read more
