Everyone here is so kind! They always make my orders perfectly with no issues. This is my favorite location in town.

I tried the 2 for meal and it was good. I had the stuffed Caesar salad and the farmers salad. It all was delicious.

Terrible service. Tables needed cleaning. Not a friendly staff and only one cashier for lunch rush.

I'm really not a fan of the Panera Bread on South Veterans. I've had several issues with completely wrong orders, missing items and plastic spoons and napkins. The GM ever screwed up a replacement order and was disrespectful when we ordered the comp meal. I get things happens but it's a reoccurring problem. Great food, poor service/accuracy. read more

Well, I thought I'd give this place another chance after my last unpleasant experience at this Panera. I ordered the Pic 2, including creamy chicken soup and a grilled cheese sandwich. Truth is the soup wasn't that bad but the grilled cheese not so good. For some reason they didn't grill the sandwich. Warm bread and mostly melted cheese doesn't make for a grilled cheese sandwich. I've had better grilled cheese sandwiches from Starbucks! Get your act together, Panera, or close down. I'd hate to see what was once a decent sandwich shop deteriorate to this level. I don't kwow what has happened here but what used to somewhat of a neat clean upscale soup& sandwich deli place has just turned into dirty neglected slop shoot with chaos everywhere and what seems like employees with a chip on their shoulder that just don't care at all. The food is always good if they could ever get the order correct. After the first few incorrect or incomplete orders, I break the tape they put on the bag and check it. Have to ask for bread or chips or whatever is missing before I drive away. Those missing items are listed on the receipt so why was the order not double checked? That is NOT good customer service. Today I got the wrong soup so I just had my last Panera meal. One person took my order, another one took payment, then a third person came to the window and asked what was in my order. I wanted to place an order online at the Normal but they did not have my bagel selection. Remind you that it is 7:15 am in the morning and they open at 6 am. So I went to the Bloomington location before placing my order. Got there and waited a few seconds which is is understandable. A pleasant young lady helped me with the order. Came back with my order with a nice carrier which I have never seen it from the Normal branch. I doubled check my order verbally and went home. I had a cinnamon swirl bagel. It is harder than I expected. I know they used to clear their bread every night, not sure about the bagels though. Overall I am pleased with the service and acceptable quality of the food. I got napkins and utensils as requested. After I ate my chewy bagel and soggy one, my hubby had an Asiago bagel. He said it's stale! I thought I was being critical but guess not! I received notification that my food was ready. I had just found my seat and was getting my tablet set up so I could work. I take y tablet and go to the pick up window. They said they will call me when it ready. I said I had been notified. They said nope not yet. Back to my table, set up the tablet, start to log in... my order is ready! My family and I stopped at this Panera during our road trip. We were able to quickly order via the Panera app, and our food was waiting for us when we arrived. I got to try one of the new flatbread sandwiches, the Smoked Chicken Margherita sandwich. It was filling, and I loved the bread. I'll definitely get this again. So why the four stars? Why not five? My husband brought our son in to change his diaper, and the men's restroom does not have a changing table in it. The women's does, thank goodness, but come on, Panera! Dads need to change diapers too. Why either inconvenience the dads or make the moms have to do this? read more

I don't know why I don't go to Panera Bread more often. I hope all PB's are like this location. I opted to not go with fast food, although the service here is very fast and got a Mediterranean veggie sandwich. I was expecting, as many vegeterian options are, that the sandwich was not going to be flavorful or just bland. Boy was I wrong! It was so delicious. The handmade bread was just soft enough where the sandwich didn't fall apart and thick enough to where the sauce/dressing didn't make the break all soggy. The sandwich had just the right bit of spice with the zesty peppers and jalapeño hummus but still held true to Mediteranean food with a cool down of feta cheese, cucumbers, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and cilantro. The portion was sufficient to fill me up. Since I got the combo I got a bakery item for 99 cents. Omg the cinnamon roll was soooo good. Being a novice to PB, I found the cashier to be quite helpful helping in find vegetarian options and explaining what came with each option. I have had the bagels before, so I grabbed a few to munch on in the morning with hazelnut cream cheese. I'm glad PB was right across the street from my hotel. The food was great but the first time I came, I had to pull into a space and wait, there wasn't anyone in line. Each time i've come in the morning there are a significant amount of menu items that aren't available. This morning I only ordered a latte, the entire order processing time was about 15 minutes. The kiosk-only ordering really slowed things down (for us and the older women around us). They had to refill the espresso machine which delayed the order further. My friend was half done before I had my order. Latte was so-so and scone was cold -- I had to warm it myself in the microwave on the floor... it was also on the dry side. Panera bread is my favorite place to go for lunch or dinner at anytime if I want something quick and fresh. The creamy tomato soup is my favorite and I love their salads! Messed up and overcharged me both times - twice, 2 weeks apart. I ordered a quinoa bowl on my first visit. I've ordered it several times and NEVER have I had it with dark colored broth. It was nasty! I went through the drivethrough before commuting an hour to get home and ordered a full steak sandwich ($$10.00??????) Half greek goddess salad and tea and my order was $22. Way too expensive and made me feel awful buying it. When I got my steak and cheese sandwich, it had cheap diced tomatoes, onions? (Why), the steak was GREY with no flavor, and had white stuff on it that tasted like vinegar. No cheese to be found. It was so low quality that I wish I paid $2 for it. I ordered a tuna sandwich. There was less than a tablespoon of tuna on each half. I have never had a tuna-less sandwich like this. I put more peanut butter on a sandwich. Three stars is for "okay" to an extent but not "A". We have had some good experiences there, but the place is so unpredictable. Orders were often not filled correctly, and we have taken long breaks from getting Panera food with the hope that popular items, such as the black bean soup, would return and that orders would be accurate more often than not. Recently, while sheltering-in-place, we received numerous emails about their delivery and even some in relation to that particular Panera--only to learn that three miles is too far away for them! Panera is one of the healthier alternative to all the other fast food places out there. It's my go to for lunch for when I am out of town. My review is more about the location of this Panera rather than its food. Overall, this is a much better location than the one in Normal. This Panera has plenty of parking and is not as crazy packed during lunch. I received my order in a reasonable amount of time compared to my unpleasant experience at the other Panera. The quality of the food was good, my soup was hot and salad was fresh. If it's not too far out of your way, I would recommend switching to this place as your go to Panera, as I am going to do from now on. read more

This is by far the worst Panera I have ever been to. I waited in line at the drive through for 24 minutes. After getting my food, the order was wrong. There was no chicken or walnuts in my strawberry poppyseed chicken salad and the Mac and cheese was extremely watery. I went back to ask them to add chicken the salad and get a new cup of Mac and cheese and the cashier was very nice about it and came back with both.
