I visited this location for the first time. It was also the first times I've ever been inside a Panera as I usually order take-out delivery, and I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere. I had no idea there were that many tables in there. Quiets nooks, long group seating tables, comfy arm chairs, quaint two-tops, nosey window seats. I was impressed! So, like I said, I've never been into a Panera before and I had no idea how "the line" worked to order food. I felt a little awkward standing there trying to figure out if I was supposed to step to the right of the line to get a good look at the display case of goodies, or to the left. I soon realized that really no one on this particular morning seemed to have a clue either! Hahahaha- everyone just seemed to gather along the vinyl rope and pool at the register. I don't know about you, but I'm a menu browser and I felt a little rushed to make my choice once at the counter. The pressure was on! I ordered a muffin for me and my daughter wanted a banana and what I thought was another muffin but turned out to be a cupcake. I asked for a large coffee and was handed an empty cup. Turns out you make your own coffee at the coffee bar set up by the front door. And my daughter ordered a lemonade. At first I thought they forgot it, but after getting her settled at a two-top with her banana and cupcake, I revisited the counter and noticed the cup to the far left on top of a very high counter. I guess that's where you pick up your beverage. We'll be back- hopefully with my husband and our boys, too. read more

Disappointed... last time I ordered soup online for take out and they gave me small cup instead of large... Instead of fresh soft cinnamon roll, I got old, hard piece of something like that! Today I ordered wrap and I got spoiled salad in there, one tasteless slice of bacon and it also looked terrible and tasted like plastic... Love the place there food is simple and can be changed how ever you like it. I also like the way they just give you a cup for a drink which has free refills for drinks that are not made by them. Soda, iced coffee, iced tea, and water. Nice place to hang out and relax. Some times it can be busy durning the main dining time. If you go during the off times it's empty. read more

Nice location. Store is clean and comfortable. Employees are nice. Food is sad. Panera HQ is not providing its stores with good quality supplies and products. Salad dressing is bland and lettuce quality is down. Old limp lettuce is mixed with fresh lettuce. Prices are up. Asian salad in a medium bowl - $10.15 plus tax. There was caffeine in the decaf pot last night. I slept two hours. The next day was my english midterm exam, and my birthday.

I have never had a good experience here. They also mess everything up and the staff is very rude about it. Once they even over charged me and didn't give me anything I ordered. When I went back I tried to tell them what happened but they couldn't understand what I was saying (in English). Okay so my brother really wanted Panera, so we all said okay, we live close let's go! So we went and my sister didn't come but she did put in an order. A "Madagascar vanilla cream cold brew". And when we went to the Panera in Danvers and got this, it was great! So I ordered hers and got the same exact thing. After 12 minutes of waiting for it, it was straight up just iced cold brew. Really though? Anyways, I told them they messed up and they gave me a really hard time so we ended up just taking them. Why is the word cream in it, if ur not gonna put any cream in it?!?! Oh Panera. When I think that you can not taste any worse, I come to the Panera on Dodge Street. Food is terrible. Service is slow. And interestingly enough, you can never find a table to sit at. A step or two above airplane food. I live nearby and avoid this place. All 3 times I've been here I got something different than what I thought I was ordering. And when I ask the cashier about what's in the sandwiches their answers don't match what you actually get. Is it too much to put EXACTLY what is included on the menu? For a Panera Bread, this one is great. It's clean, well maintained and the service is quick.

Service was incredibly slow. The wait to get your food took forever. My friend got a "You pick 2" with a soup and sandwich, her sandwich came out ten minutes after her soup and by the time her sandwich came her soup was cold. I got a salad and there were things on my salad that were missing and things that have never been on that salad. Someone else I was there with got a sandwich and asked for a wrap instead of bread and the cashier said that was fine, he gets his sandwich and it was in bread. He said that he asked for a wrap and the mans excuse was that they ran out. He still ate it, it was just annoying that the cashier said that he would have it on a wrap. Overall a horrible experience. This Panera is horribly managed. read more

Its not bad...the service can be a bit slow and the lines get ridiculous sometimes, but the food is usually pretty good.

For a place called "panera" you think their bread would be amazing. I ordered a panini, and it looked like a 5 yr old slapped some cheap, over processed turkey and yellow kraft cheese on some wonder bread and barely toasted it. So I returned it and they made me a basic turkey sandwich with lettuce, tomato, mayo, mustard, etc. Well, it looked the same as the panini. I will never go here again. And the guy making the sandwiches was rude and just throws the plates on the counter, in such a hurry, not saying anything,so you have to figure out if it's yours or not.. ok factory line worker. I won't eat at this factory again. Oh, and one more thing, their salads have been lacking over the last yr. I used to always get a descent salad and the broccoli cheddar soup, but the lettuce is crap and they just went dry and boring on what used to be good salads. And the soup, they make you microwave your own soup to reheat it because it wasn't hot enough when they served it to you. Too bad this place has gone down hill. I used to love it. read more

Had a very good experience! Came in with my sister, ordered our food. They were very nice and greeted us very friendly. We ordered our food to go, and it was done very quickly. Once our order was ready we were walking out of the door and decided to make sure that the food was correct. We realized they gave us the wrong salad. We went up to the counter and let the know they gave us the wrong one. With no questions asked they made us the right salad in less than 5 minutes, and let us keep the other salad too. They have good service, but I would recommend checking your to go order before you take it. read more

Holy moly what a tremendously amazing experience my husband and I had at this lovey location 57 Dodge Street Beverly, MA. Manager Dylan took absolute great care of us the moment we get to the counter to when we stepped outside. The broccoli cheddar soup was perfectly piping hot but absolutely complementary to our crazy New England weather. The both us got two large Mountain Dew's which manager Dylan was so graciously kind and grabbed while we decided on our mouth watering treats. With great speed and diligence he returns with our beverages within seconds. Putting in our entire order quickly while maintaining the upmost amazing professionalism. Also highly recommend the chocolate croissant which was so deliciously chocolatey and the chocolate chip cookie! Ugh safe to say we were truly in chocolate heaven!My husband and I wish we could give Dylan and the Panera gang more stars which they are very much deserving of of! 10/10 highly recommend! This Panera is a disaster. The staff all have an Iq of 10. I ordered a mac and cheese in a bread bowl and they charged me $11.20. Then when I went to pick up my food they said they didn't even have bread bowls. They then opted to give me a large. I grabbed the bag and once I got in the car I noticed that all that was in the bag was a large mac and cheese that was filled like it was a small and a small piece of bread. I also noticed that I was charged $5 for a baguette that I never ordered nor got. I went back and none of the staff knew what to do. Then they brought up someone else's order and repeatedly told me it was mine. In the end they gave me $5 back but it was just a horrible experience. Also my friend had ordered a drink, bagel, and sandwich and they didn't give her a bagel. Overall I do not recommend going to this Panera because it is a waste of time, money, and brain cells. read more

I travel around and find this location to be fast, clean and fresh. I am up to 5 visits per week on average. I have yet to have a bad pastry, coffee, sandwich or soup. They run smooth compared to other local Peneras. They Panera card gets me free food about every week or two. Very generous to loyal customers. Healthy menu doesn't hurt as every calorie counts. read more

Very disappointed with the service here. Not only are there flies everywhere which land on the food, but the employees, especially those in management, have terrible attitudes! I came across one manager, I believe his name was Jeromy, and he was just absolutely terrible to his coworkers! He had a terrible attitude to them and had the audacity to have the same attitude toward me! I was appalled and had to watch what I said because I almost lost my cool in front of my children. Decided to give this Panera another try after a really bad experience about a year ago. It was not busy. I placed an order for a sandwich (steak and arugula) that I regularly order at a different Panera, and asked that they hold the garlic herb cheese spread. Cashier told me it didn't come with that. I told her it did. After a little back and forth she consulted her manager, who assured me the sandwich did NOT come with any sort of cheese spread. OK, fine. Husband ordered ham and swiss with mustard, not mayo. She says it already comes with mustard, not mayo. Well, out comes my sandwich - with a thick layer of garlic herb cheese spread. Husband asks to speak to manager, who is not available. Another employee has them remake the sandwich. Cashier brings it over and apologizes, saying she's new (fine, but manager should have known). Husband picks up his sandwich - which is absolutely drowning in mayo. Goes straight to sandwich maker, who makes him a new one. Asks again for manager, who is "too busy" (there are maybe 8 people in the entire place). In addition, the lemonade was not made right - very watery. I just order online a bbq chicken flat bread and too my surprise it was crumble up lunch meat and nothing but bread suppose to have spinach, I added tomatoes and got one slice of the smallest tomatoe i have ever seen. I love Panera's mango smoothies, so while visiting in Beverly, I walked to Panera a couple of times for a smoothie. I was surprised by the poor service (make that slow) at this location; I had never encountered that at a Panera before. In the first instance, a young man was talking/flirting with a young woman who was picking up an order. He kept stopping what he was doing to talk to her, and my wait for my beverage was about seven minutes. On the second occasion, the woman making smoothies was in the middle of a phone call. After the call, she went to several other employees to complain about the matter. She would walk back to the counter and add an ingredient, then walk away to talk to someone else, come back and continue to talk about the situation to others in the kitchen while she half-heartedly continued making my drink. I'm not sure where a manager or supervisor was, but this was inappropriate customer service. I know that making a smoothie might not be the most thrilling of jobs, but I wish she hadn't chosen to share her issues with the entire population of the restaurant. read more

love this particular store. staff is efficient. very clean, very popular spot. love how they say, can i help the next guest? coffee is strong and sometimes the pastry isn't the freshest but if u zap it a few seconds, it tastes oven fresh. the spinach bacon souffle is delicious. dave is so helpful. recently saw him go out of his way to inquire about ingredients for a customer who was allergic to nuts, offered her a free coffee while they called their 1-800 no. that to me is good service. read more

The reason I give 2 stars is because there is a lot of room for improvement. It really has become a learning experience for me. So the firat time I came here I waited in line for 10 minutes. After i placed my order I waited another 20 minutes, so I decided next time I come in i will call my order in ahead of time. The second time I called it in and still had to stand in line for about 10 minutes and wait another 20. You think I'd have learned by then, but recently I went there and tried to call my order in and no one answered. I tried for like 30 minutes, I literally just let the phone ring on speaker while I was working, nothing. So I was really craving Panera and I knew it was around the lunch rush 130ish so I would probably have to wait. I ordered a napa chicken salad sandwich and a broccoli cheddar soup. This place was packed, there were lots of famlies and groups, etc. But I ended up giving up when I heard the boy in front of me ask about his food and they replied that they hadn't stated making it yet. He was in a big group and they had come in before me. I was already at a 15 minute wait and I had just gotten out of work. So I just got my money refunded and went next door to the BeGoods and it was funny because i asked if they had any soup and so did the people behind me, they too didn't want to wait that ridiculous time at panera. I was really upset that I wasn't going to be eating my soup and sandwich, and I really couldn't find anything i liked at the begoods so i settled for a ceaser salad which sucked btw. snyhoo i love panera so i will probably be back. But basically the gist of this story is that they were way understaffed, and they should have informed the guests that there may be more than a 20 minute wait. Next time Im going to order online so i can just pick it up. One last thing is everyone there was working their tales off to make up for being short staffed. It looked stressful, so props to the employees. I'll keep my fingers crossed that they get more staff. read more
