    OVERPRICED AND UNDERWHELMING
    Gary H.

OVERPRICED AND UNDERWHELMING! What a disappointment! We ordered a Pick two - the Chicken and Pepperoni Melt with Turkey chili, a Chicken Cordon sandwich with chips, 2 sodas and one cookie and it was $49.00. All you taste was the bread on the sandwiches... very little meat and too much bread. And the staff person at the counter wasn't even friendly! Not sure I will ever come here again...

    Croutons more like crumbs.
    Cassie K.

Got takeout French onion soup and they said it was ready and it was not on the counter and I waited a few 10 extra minutes. I then proceeded to drive home and went to enjoy my soup and when I pulled the croutons out of the bag for my French onion soup there was only two little crumbled up ones. I reached out on Instagram to state my frustration and see what could be done and they said they would let the café know. They made little effort to make things right and it's continuous with the organization as a whole. Overpriced hospital soup whose so cheap and stingey they can't even make it right with a free cookie.

This is my bacon in a cup

I had to cream cheese my own bagel, but it was good food. I am really outraged at this type of service, if I want to cream cheese my own bagel I would have stayed in my house and it would have been 1000 times cheaper. If I could go into the negatives with these stars I would, one of the worst experiences I've had at a breakfast place. The bacon I ordered on my sandwich came in a cup! Like how hard is it to take 3 seconds to put the bacon on the sandwich!!! 0/10 would not recommend and I know I won't bring going back.

Out of bread THREE times now. Both the bread bowl and the baguette. It's as if I went to Dunkin and they were out of coffee. Wtf Panera.

I was given a bag with one container of noodles and broth and meat all together/ there was no sides of typical Thai basil and other Vietnamese accompaniments that come with pho... The broth is flavorless. The noodles as another reviewer pointed out were very very little for the price of the soup and for pho in general. I usually don't go back and change reviews but I can't express how dissatisfied this is. I'm glad I actually checked the bag! I had to ask for another to go container to separate the noddles from the broth ( pho should never be served this way) I had to ask for Thai basil and everything else pho is served with. Unfortunately they are closing this location today and I can see why. This isn't how pho should be and even changing a for here order to a to go doesn't make a difference for the broth, packaging, noodle ration etc

It had a gothic, darker mood and my wife and I love it. The pizza we tried, the one with broccolini and shrimp was very tasty. Almost too much for us to finish. The vibe, the music, and our waitress Jenae was stellar. Just a super nice experience. Come here for a date night or low key gathering or celebration for sure. The music was just loud enough where we are vibing but not overwhelmed. Again fantastic experience

It's in a great location in downtown Beverly with a large parking lot behind it, so parking was easy. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to expectations. We ordered two appetizers: the calamari and the mushroom arancini. The calamari was the strangest version I've ever had, mixed with jalapeños, arugula, tomatoes, and marinara sauce placed underneath. The combination didn't really work, and I wasn't a fan of the sauce being on the bottom instead of on the side. The arancini was better, but still odd. It was served over some kind of Alfredo sauce, which again felt unnecessary. It seems like this place really likes putting sauce on the bottom of dishes, and it didn't enhance the food. The real highlight of the night was the drinks. We both ordered espresso martinis, and they were honestly the best espresso martinis I've ever had. There were several other cocktails that looked great as well, so we'll definitely be back to try more drinks. Overall, the food was underwhelming and didn't meet my expectations. I wouldn't come back for the food, as their takes on classic dishes just didn't work for me. That said, if you're looking for great cocktails, Soma is absolutely worth it, especially for the espresso martinis. Get dinner elsewhere in Beverly and stop by Soma for drinks!

Yesterday was super bowl sunday and I ordered over 100 dollars of food. I would say it was "okay" but the wait was super crazy. We ordered online 3 hours ahead and still ended up waiting another 40 mins for it. The pizza is no longer on a homemade raw base it seems to be on a typical packaged crust. It wasnt what I was used to from this place but it wasn't bad. The mac and cheese was really bad; The macaroni wasn't cooked and it had no flavor. The nachos were very good but super soggy because they were probably waiting for the other foods to be cooked . My sister liked her bowl and I liked my wrap. I'm not a local so I can't say "bring back the spring rolls and the raw based pizzas etc" They do what they need to do to survive.

The havarti grilled cheese with avocado, garlic aioli and fried egg...C'mon. You have to spend the extra $2 for the bacon jam, you will not regret it. I'm sure we've all seen truffle fries right? Some bullshit frozen garbage either drowned in cheap truffle oil, or "dusted" with truffle salt. Well, they don't do that crap here, however they do garlic fries. Hand cut, with whole cloves of roasted garlic all over. Not one or two cloves, like several heads worth of glorious, slow-roasted garlic.
