I see a lot of bad reviews but I've had good experiences recently with this location. They have a fireplace that is always going. That is clutch this time of year. Plenty of comfortable seating. I don't hang out at stores, but others do and they appear to be enjoying it. I place all my orders via the app so I can't speak to the cashiers. But they make the food quicker than the app says. This Panera has done me wrong so many times, and I finally reached my breaking point! In the past they've gotten small things wrong, but today they messed up BIG TIME! To start, they didn't give us our drinks and when they did they gave us smaller sized drinks. Then they didn't give us our cookie. This is the blunt of my anger, they only gave us one large Mac and cheese insead of 2 the that we directly asked for. Got takeout French onion soup and they said it was ready and it was not on the counter and I waited a few 10 extra minutes. I then proceeded to drive home and went to enjoy my soup and when I pulled the croutons out of the bag for my French onion soup there was only two little crumbled up ones. I reached out on Instagram to state my frustration and see what could be done and they said they would let the café know. They made little effort to make things right and it's continuous with the organization as a whole. This panera is a complete mess. Used to come here all the time 6 years ago. Stopped in for lunch to get a soup and salad. The line started at the door, waited 15 minutes to get to the front. Watched a couple flies fly and land all over the pastries. Ordered a full caesar salad and a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup. i said i want a full caesar salad and a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup, to indicate the sizes. she said you want the you pick 2? i said no i want the caesar salad and the broccoli cheddar soup. she asked the caesar with chicken? i said no, i want the full caesar salad with a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup. had to repeat my order 3 times for the woman to understand. i wonder what would have happened if my order was any more complicated. My receipt time was 12:39 and i waited without a pager for my to go order. i waited by the pick up area and watched all these workers scramble around making orders. they were all over the place and working hard but couldn't handle the demand. it was 12:52 when one of the workers said aloud "caesar salad and broccoli soup" as she was about to make it. finally got my order and my caesar salad looked like a half salad so i had them add more. but if i had not checked, they probably bank on people not checking all the time. i paid $7 for lettuce out of convenience. this was incredibly inconvenient. spent a half hour for a soup and salad (literally transfer the soup to a container and put lettuce in a box). panera bread chain has changed overall for the worse including their menu. but this particular one has serious staff issues and negligence on managements part. i used to work in the food service so my anger was not useful towards the individual employees. you can tell they are short staffed, not trained well, and can't keep up. management seriously needs to look at all of these concerns. and the flies. read more

The worst classic grilled cheese. The bread is too thick, too soft (think Wonder Bread soft), not well toasted. The cheese is very salty, bright orange, plain old American cheese with really no flavor and you get 1 slice of it. Just a sad version of a classic sandwich. I usually love this Panera, but they are never consistent. I ordered a breakfast wrap with tomato (day too much), scrambled egg ( not enough, a whole egg was not used, not even half an egg, pathetic), bacon (not a whole piece, not even big chunks, like bacon bits). Vernon white cheddar (non in my wrap). Wraps are supposed to be soft. The description of the wrap did not say toasted because I would have asked them not to. It was not even a whole wrap, less than half, burnt and tasted really dry. Tasted processed and not fresh. Portion was less than what you would receive for a children's meal. The cost is way too high for the poor quality food I received. I could only take 1 nite. It was inedible. read more

Another horrible experience, and my last one. 50/50 results in ordering online for Rapid Pickup - as in, 50% of the time I've arrived to find a 'see customer service' note for me vs. my food being ready when I arrived. Two awful experiences two weeks in a row: first time, my sandwich was sloppily put together making it very difficult to eat (definitely not the first time this has happened at a Panera), and second time, the line AFTER paying to retrieve orders was exceeding a 20 minute wait. No sense of urgency or sympathy from staff. Also, they need to work out a lot of kinks with the touchscreen ordering system - does not give you a receipt, or take a name, or provide a buzzer so there is no way of knowing when your order is ready. read more

WARNING! THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS THE CAUSE FOR A MAJOR OUTBREAK OF SALMONELLA!!!!! I don't think I've ever felt that sick in my life. My baby was sick for longer--I mean REALLY sick. He had so much vomiting, diarrhea and malaise that all he could do was lay on the bathroom floor. He became severely underweight. We went to the Emergency Room at Beverly Hospital and they took samples. I didn't know it was Panera until my town health nurse called me and asked if my son and I had eaten at Panera in Beverly before our illness. Then she said that we were the 14th and 15th people to get sick eating at THIS establishment. Since the other Paneras don't have an outbreak of this strain, it's more than likely an employee or employees that are either not washing their hands after they defecate, or an individual or group of individuals that are doing something UNSPEAKABLE to the food. People that should be particularly cautious are pregnant women, infants, the elderly and those with compromised immune systems, as they could suffer severe long-term effects and possibly death from a bad case of salmonella. Yes, usually all food from Panera tastes the same, but this one definitely does not. This is hands down the worst experience I have ever had at Panera Bread. My Napa Chicken salad sandwich which was described by my order taker as one of his favorites had almost no flavor and to boot was served on white bread. Doesn't Panera offer bread options? Maybe the order taker said something else. I was distracted by the nose ring, which obviously was not enhancing his ability to enunciate. I had to ask him to repeat his answers to my questions so often, I can only assume that this was the issue with the enunciation. The last couple of times I've been there I've seen flies landing on the pastries and bagels, which I chose to ignore because I was in the mood for a broccoli cheddar soup, but I was once again disappointed when I realized the portion sizes are outrageously small for the price I was paying. Not to mention, the managers of the store are extremely rude and sassy to their employees as well as their costumers. Awhile back I witnessed a manager asking one of their employees if the two of them could "take it outside" in a threatening manner. We were having some guests from another facility overseas and I ordered some food for a work meeting. I called in at 10:30am. The delivery time they gave us was no later than 12:00 noon. At 12:30 I was getting worried and called. It was so hard to connect by phone as all I got was a answering machine. At 12:45 I finally got through and they said they were on their way. I was really looking forward to enjoying my meal with the comfort of the setting of the interior but not anymore, with the outbreak going on, I went inside and as soon as I started to place my order at the kiosk, one of the employee started to fake cough while another coworkers response was "real funny" in a sarcastic tone. This Panera Bread was not only ridiculously quick, but their new special (1/2 Tomato Soup, 1/2 Steak w/ Cheese Sandwich) was great! By the time I paid $12 for this sandwich/soup combo along with a Green Tea, and a Cherry Pastry, my meal with the Green Tea was already waiting for me! The only bad things were that the Cherry Pastry was mediocre, the price (in my opinion) was quite high considering the Cherry Tart was only a $.99 addition to my combo, The establishment was tastefully decorated with spacious tables and ample room. The bathrooms were dirtier and less maintained than what I would have expected from a dine-in-restaurant, but they were acceptable. In summary, I liked the food, I liked how quick the service was, but I didn't like the price and I didn't like the Cherry Tart. $12 is really expensive for "fast-ish" food. It's also a bit more hectic and the lighting isn't as good as other Paneras but it was still yummy. If the price was cheaper and the Cherry Tart wasn't so mediocre, it would be a 4-star restaurant. read more

I've been here countless times. It's a great Panera (actually, the best one I've been to!). Definitely a good place to bring a group of friends. Typical Panera fare: -excellent sandwiches -delicious wraps -hearty soups -tasty salads -amazing baked goods Prices will put you back $5-$15, depending on what you get. Some personal favorites: -Chipotle chicken sandwich (lots of good flavor- although the cheese might be a little much) -Sierra turkey sandwich (very well-rounded- nothing is too overpowering) -Caesar salad (fresh lettuce with a dressing that isn't too heavy) -Fruit cup (very fresh!) I've even had a caffe mocha from here. Also quite good! I always opt for the apple, but it's never really too edible (lots of bruises, etc.). I visited this location for the first time. It was also the first times I've ever been inside a Panera as I usually order take-out delivery, and I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere. I had no idea there were that many tables in there. Quiets nooks, long group seating tables, comfy arm chairs, quaint two-tops, nosey window seats. I was impressed! So, like I said, I've never been into a Panera before and I had no idea how "the line" worked to order food. I felt a little awkward standing there trying to figure out if I was supposed to step to the right of the line to get a good look at the display case of goodies, or to the left. I soon realized that really no one on this particular morning seemed to have a clue either! Hahahaha- everyone just seemed to gather along the vinyl rope and pool at the register. I don't know about you, but I'm a menu browser and I felt a little rushed to make my choice once at the counter. The pressure was on! I ordered a muffin for me and my daughter wanted a banana and what I thought was another muffin but turned out to be a cupcake. I asked for a large coffee and was handed an empty cup. Turns out you make your own coffee at the coffee bar set up by the front door. And my daughter ordered a lemonade. At first I thought they forgot it, but after getting her settled at a two-top with her banana and cupcake, I revisited the counter and noticed the cup to the far left on top of a very high counter.
