Panera serves a variety of bakery items, soups, salads and sandwiches that will accommodate everyone in your group. It is reasonably priced and gives you the You Pick Two option so you can try two of the menu items. The Mac n Cheese is amazing and nothing will ever compare. I just got done eating here. the food is good, but it can get pretty congested pretty quickly. If you're going around noon-2ish, be ready to wait. In fact just do drive through because most of the tables are gonna be used up. I'm totally nonplussed by Panera Bread Barstow. At first I was excited when a new restaurant opened. But, the place fits the town, in that it, TOO, is stale! Literally! I got a salad that was limp, and looked like it had never seen a refrigerator. No tomato, no chicken, and I waited 45 minutes. I could have driven to a market, bought lettuce, gone home and built a salad myself in less time! Later the same week, I gave it the benefit of a doubt by deciding to try some bread. Surely, there couldn't be a problem ... WRONG! Although it's called Panera BREAD, their specialty is terrible. I got a loaf of extra sour dough and it was no better than a cheap supermarket brand. THEREFORE, based on my experiences, as well as reviews from others, I will not go back again, NOR will I recommend it to anyone. read more

Panera Bread always offers great good that's healthy and tasty! This location boasts of a drive-thru, kiosk ordering, as well as their traditional menu items! I was happy to walk-In to see all registers manned with an employee, and plentiful kiosks! The kiosk ordering makes beating the lines desirable. You can swipe your MyPanera card at the kiosk to use/earn rewards, and you pay at the kiosk as well so you never have to interact with a cashier or wait in line. You can will order/modify your food just as you would by giving your order to the cashier. I prefer this method because then you know that there isn't anything lost in translation when you're trying to be specific. Your receipt gets emailed to you when you are done ordering with the kiosk too, which I prefer. You might pay a little more for your food, but it's always fresh and healthy. They're making a large effort to make their food even more healthy than it already is by taking out preservatives and such from their ingredients! If they make your order wrong, they'll gladly remake it for you to ensure your happiness. Their iced sugar cookies are my favorite (when I want a sugar fix), and the cute design changes from time to time. Their passion green tea is amazing, and so is their Strawberry Poppyseed Chicken Salad they do every summer. The Thai Chicken Salad and Tomato Mozzarella Panini are also amazing menu items! I ordered the Smoked Turkey Sandwich, and modified it to have extra veggies on Whole Grain. It's such a delicious can hearty sandwich, and very low-cal! It's nice to see a Panera pop up in Barstow because i would rather have a healthier option than getting something heavy and unhealthy when stopping for a lunch break on the I-15. Came here on the way to Vegas since Chipotle was packed and got a roasted turkey avocado blt. After eating the first half of the sandwich I go to grab the second half and I notice a brown thing on the sandwich. It happened to be a dead bug just resting on the turkey meat. I haven't had too many great experiences at Panera and not really a fan but the wife wanted to eat here. Staff was friendly and helpful. Wife ordered a bread bowl of broccoli cheese soup. Yum! Only complaint is I asked for my panini with out red peppers and it came with them, which is the main reason why I haven't had too many great experiences at Panera. They (not necessarily this location) have had a difficult time in the past with customizing the items I order. IE: mustard instead of mayo, no peppers, salad dressing on the side ... etc. Still rate them 4 stars, this Panera did a good job. read more

Ours was an average Panera experience. The prep time was decent, given how full the restaurant was. We asked for bags for our cookies as soon as they brought them to us, since we had stated that they were going to be "to go," but they arrived on plates. When the girl brought the bags she put them right down on the cookies. Who knows where the bags have been and how clean they are on the outside? One of the salads didn't arrive as ordered, but was close enough to not say anything. The mango smoothie tasted a little off and had a very bad aftertaste. Only ate 4 slices of turkey meat so this was an extremely overpriced not well presented sandwich. Broccoli cheese soup was good but should be served with crackers. Tea was great! Nice pit stop on the way to LV. Spacious restaurant with very cool tablets where you can place your order and pickup a buzzer that will indicate when your food is ready. Great service too - they bring the food to your table when it's ready and clear+clean the tables quickly after you leave. Not much unique about a Panera Bread. We stopped here en route to Vegas, and it was plentiful. Good food, lots of seats, clean, and multiple bathroom stalls. The service was slow, but good enough. I was upset though that they did not carry the black bean soup. I tried the broccoli cheddar which was better than I expected, but still subpar. The Mediterranean veggie tasted good, but the same as any other Panera. Can't go wrong, but you can't expect much from a chain. Next time I go to Vegas, I may stop here again. read more
