I've have had DiNapoli's Fire House bookmarked on Yelp, as one place to try, for at least 10 years. Driving back to Pasadena on President's Day from my home in Bullhead City I decided to dive in and give this unique pizza place a try. I arrived about 12:30 pm. Walking inside I was blown away with all the firefighting equipment, memorabilia and photos. Walking inside I was pleasantly greeted with a warm welcome. I told the young lady that I wanted to order a pizza to go. Looking over the menu I decided on a medium meatball and sausage pizza. I was told that it would be about 20 minutes. While I waited I walked around the restaurant to look at all the firefighter memorabilia. They have a nice bar upstairs. True to their word my pizza was ready almost at the 20 minute mark. After paying for my pizza I went out to my vehicle and placed it inside. Even though I was still full from eating breakfast I just had to try a slice when it was just made. Opening up the box it looked beautiful and the meatballs were big, flavorful and really juicy. The crust was perfectly cooked. The bottom was crisp and ridged. Absolutely delicious. The true star were the meatballs but the sauce had great flavor and that crispy crust and cheese just made this an awesome pizza worthy of a return visit. When I finally got home I reheated 2 slices in my oven. It was great even reheated in the oven. If you have never tried DiNapoli's Fire House, the place will defiantly hose your hunger with great tasting pizza. read more

Awesome Veal Parm! Stopped in for dinner with friends while traveling across the country. This is an Italian restaurant with a Firehouse vibe. When you walk in you can smell the Italian cooking and it was a glorious smell. We were seated right away and our server promptly brought menus and drinks. After ordering our salads came out shortly. Our meals were served piping hot and they were awesome! My friend and I had the veal Parm and this was no frozen breaded patty veal, this was fresh veal that was lightly hand breaded and served in a fresh made meat sauce along with a piece of garlic bread. This is Barstow, not Italy and not L.A., NYC, etc. This is an ok but pedestrian American Italian joint. Pizza crust ok, sauce not Napolitan, and a bit dry. Salads are plentiful and actually OK, but those canned olives ruin it for me. Chicken parm is super dry precooked filet/cutlet with new sauce/cheese melted on. Point is, edible and fairly priced, but don't ever expect too much, as the best restaurant here in Barstow is likely the Mexican up the street. Staff.... could not be nicer. read more

I was in that barstool area that searched for someplace to eat, and this place came up. Took a chance on and boy, i'm glad I did. The ambiance of the place is amazing, so walking through an old fashioned firehouse with all the stuff on the walls. The music is great. The service was fantastic. Add Shrimp Scampi, with soup and garlic bread was absolutely unbelievable. Don't be fooled by the prices, portions are large. This place is good for an anytime bite. Note, this review is strictly about the pizza and the salad. The salads are huge as you can't see and they load them up. If you like salads, you can't go wrong. The pizza is one of the best in this area. The crust was crispy and the pepperoni had a little spice. this is almost like a themed bar to me. the food wasn't too bad (I had a caesar salad) and the service was quick enough. the music was a little loud and the lighting was almost all red and this made the place a little dark in my opinion. the only thing that I genuinely didn't like is the service ended with the check. we sat there talking for a bit and no one offered to refill water glasses or anything like that. something I found interesting and kind of neat is the collection of (military, police, emergency) patches that decorated the entrance. not sure where they all came from but, there were more than I wanted to stop and count. read more

My wife and I stopped for a semi late lunch. It was pretty good; however, the chef seems to be adverse to using salt and pepper. We ordered a bruschetta as a starter. I ordered a Modelo, but the waitress was more interested in correcting my pronunciation than hearing Negra after that. She returned with an Especial and I let her know that that isn't what I ordered. It was an interesting take on bruschetta with artichoke hearts. Really couldn't taste any balsamic vinegar. For our dishes Colleen ordered their spaghetti with meat sauce while I ordered a meatball sandwich. Both of those dishes were huge! I ate 80% of my sandwich and my wife had about a third of the never-ending bowl of spaghetti. All said, not too bad. Seems to be a popular spot with very interesting decor. What a great find! As a native New Yorker I am constantly on the lookout for great New York style pizza. After driving around trying to find food later in the evening we came across this restaurant tucked back in a small strip mall. Advertising Brooklyn style pizza I was immediately excited! Our server was fabulous. She was covering half the restaurant and did not miss a beat. Completely familiar with the full list of drafts beers offered she made our choice easy. The large pizza, which was 22 inches in diameter, was only $22! The crust was done to perfection, and a variety of topping choices are available to satisfy any taste. I cannot say enough about this restaurant as it was a taste of New York in the middle of the desert. Fresh salads were crisp and extremely delicious. The chicken Marsala was drowning in a soupy sauce. The tiramisu was still 1/2 frozen. They forgot my coffee. And they gave me someone else's credit card. I'm generously giving them 3 stars, because my waitress was quick and pleasant. And there aren't that many options in Barstow. There were several large groups on a Tuesday, so it's popular in a way. The wine wasn't good, which may explain why it's not on the menu. The decor is quite patriotically American (portrait of Lincoln?) for an Italian restaurant, but there's plenty of seating including comfortable booths. Lots of options on the menu, our group got a pepperoni pizza, spaghetti with a side of sausage, and the tour (chicken parm, fettuccine alfredo, and lasagna). Pizza was really good, crust was awesome. Spaghetti sauce was really acidic and not something we'd order again. Lasagna was really good, fettuccini was dry and needed more alfredo, asked for a side of alfredo and it was an extra fee. Chicken parm was ok, the sausage was good. Didn't have room for dessert, but had a dessert menu.
