Thick crust pizza in a cozy setting. We dined inside. The acoustics were a bit loud but the view of the lake was beautiful. My kid LOVED the pizza, says it's one of his all time favorites. Great place. I went in a couple days ago and they took care of us. Outstanding service. They kept asking us if everything was good and if we needing anything else. They were on it and we left happy and full. My 1 year old son and 3 year old daughter loved it. Great pizza and cheese sticks. Usually they are good but lately they haven't been very good. And especially today they were the worst yet. Ordered 2 pizzas, bread sticks, mozzarella sticks, and boneless wings. We picked up and told us 45 minutes for pick up. We picked up exactly on time and took it home only 1 minute away. Started eating it and the wings were cold and small like at the end of the package of the boneless wings, the mozzarella sticks were very cold and some were missing the cheese. And the pizza seemed like it was sitting for a long time under heat lamps. My wife and I frequent this restaurant at least twice a week. Typically we don't have any issues. Actually the service we get is generally exceptional. There is a young lady that answers the phones most of time, when we give our order she knows exactly who it's for. When we get delivery, our driver knows exactly what sort of, ( for lack of a better word) condiments to bring. Today was my second encounter with a young man named Ricardo. He was working the front counter. Both times I've had to deal with this guy, I've had issues. He's argumentative, and not at all customer oriented. I've been a customer of Gridiron for a long time and started going at their 7th street location in Victorville. I was very happy to know there's a Gridiron in Helendale when I moved here in 2020! It was really great for a year and had no issues. Not sure what's been happening but the take-out/delivery service has been very poor these last 6 months. When I try to call in my order either no one answers the phone or I get put on hold for an excessively long time (10+ mins). This is unfortunate for me because I commute for work so sometimes when coming home late it was nice to be able to call in my order on the way home and it was usually ready when I'd get to Helendale. We ordered delivery for a birthday party and was told it would be an hour and it took two and half hours to get our pizzas. We tried to call about the order and no one would answer the phone. I'm trying to be understanding that perhaps they might be understaffed as many other businesses are, but at this point I can't even order a pizza because no one answers the phone even when we've tried to call off peak times (trying to avoid lunch and dinner rush). I've been told by others that the service dining in is excellent but am yet to confirm it myself. I'll definitely give it another shot to dine-in as I really do like their food there. Pizza has always been great, wings are great and so is the cheese bread. Just disappointed that I can't call in orders anymore since no one ever answers the phone. read more
