A solid pizza joint when visiting Wrightwood, CA. We spent a relaxing weekend getaway recently in Wrightwood. It was after the snow season with light crowds and locals. On our way up, we called in an order for pickup, and it was ready when we arrived in town. We ordered a few large pizzas and some hot wings. The Raccoon Special, Cheese, and Gourmet Pesto Pizza were all hot and delicious. They didn't skimp on the toppings. I was surprised by how stacked the Raccoon Pizza was and the amount of olives in the Gourmet Pesto Pizza. The hot wings were a good size, and the sauce was tangy and tasty. It also came with a couple of ranch dressing dip. The menu also offers pasta, calzones, salad, garlic bread, and more! There are no tables inside, but there are a few outside to dine at. The staff was kind and hardworking, quickly preparing orders. The prices are reasonable for the quality. They also have a variety of merch if you want to further support. Arriving for pick up, the building has a cool local vibe. I can also see this place being busy in the winter. I can't wait to grab a few more pizzas again or try more of the menu when he visits again. read more

This is exactly the type of pizza that I love. Thick crust with lots of sauce and cheese. I'm not a big fan of red sauce so I'm always on the hunt for a good alfredo/garlic white sauce alternative and this spot was on point. I'm so sick of this place! They're so hit or miss! My husband LOVES this place for their pizza and calzones, and while I do enjoy their wings , the pasta is NEVER consistent! Either it's really yummy or it's a disaster! And most of the time it's a disaster! There is no sauce on my pasta and the meatballs are BLONDE! There's barely ANY sauce on this spaghetti! I was in Wrightwood today and this place was so good, I had to immediately write a review. I tried their Hawaiian and their Mountain Mike Alfredo. Absolutely delicious! The crust was chewy, but crispy, and the toppings were bountiful. It's been a while since I've had pies like that. The flavor was there and the toppings were yummy. The artichoke on the Mountain Mike Pizza which also comes with chicken, spinach, and Alfredo sauce didn't taste like it came out of a jar like I've experienced with other places. I'd be willing to come back up here just for this pizza spot. The prices were very reasonable. A lot less than what I pay in Rancho Cucamonga. Came here Sunday afternoon with my family who ordered 3 pizzas. Let me start off by saying pizza was good! Our only problem was that the gentleman working that day was VERY RUDE!! VERY VERY RUDE! We had asked a question about where the nearest bathrooms were, mind you we even apologized for bugging him- which we really didn't , we simply just asked a question.. & he responded VERY RUDELY& SARCASTICALLY .. we let him know we aren't from around here when we asked which direction & he just seemed so irritated! The lady at the cashier was very sweet! But that guy making the pizzas was just not it!! It was the younger looking male who was a bit tall. We work in customer service too & we were really caught off guard with his response & attitude! I hope the owner sees this because you don't want to lose customers over a snotty miserable person like that! We visited Mike High Pizza this past weekend and were pleasantly surprised by how wonderful the pizza was! We went in and ordered and they have a couple benches for waiting. The only thing I don't like is the prices were not listed on the menu boards. We ordered a half pepperoni and half all meat. I was shocked by the amount of meat on both sides. The all meat had slices of chicken, sausage, bacon, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, and I think hamburger. It was a huge pile of meat on each slice. The pizza was cooked perfectly and didn't take very much time from ordering to leaving. Solid neighborhood pizza joint. No seating inside but there are benches outside for a sunny day. The service was alright, prompt. We had the medium Mountain Mike Alfredo Pizza for $18. My wife said that it was one of her favorite pizzas because it was as if they had put straight pasta sauce on the pizza. I thought it was quite plain and could use more garlic or some bacon. Great place to eat in Wrightwood. They have vegan crust and vegan cheese. They really pile on the toppings, they don't skimp like a lot of places, so I really feel the prices are super fair. And whatever vegan cheese they are using is really good and melts well. The staff was also really great and helpful. There is nowhere to sit inside and eat, so you have to do takeout. Pizza looked good but was not impressed at all by the the pizza or wings. After waiting for our pizza they told us that our wings had gotten "lost" and that we'd have to wait another 25 minutes for the 7 wings. Rode through ACH and over to Wrightwood with a gang of bikes. After, they opted to leave the area for food, but a buddy and I stuck around. We chose to check out Mile High Pizza and left with no regrets... We got two pizzas and some cheese sticks. I will be honest, the cheese sticks were straight gross, I took one bite then tossed them. Our pizzas were great and made up for that. Top of the line, minus a bit too many olives on mine (generosity is beautiful though). The cheese is something one will never forget. I didn't get names of the three employees working.. But the two chicks were out of this world awesome, I wish I talked to them more. The guy working was legitimately cool all the same. He gave us some pointers on the small town and the best route back home to OC. An older gentlemen watering the plants out front was very welcoming too...
