Hot and fresh pizza up in the mountains? Don't mind if I do! I was quite surprised to see how many highly rated Yelp reviews were written about LouEddie's Pizza, considering that this is the only location in the rural, mountainous part of town. My colleague recommended LouEddie's after mentioning how great their pizza tasted, so I just had to try it while vacationing up in Lake Arrowhead. My husband and I decided to opt in for takeout instead of dining in because of their long wait time. Even when we ordered online for takeout, it still took 2 hours until we had to pick up our order. We weren't complaining though because their menu items looked great and I'm sure that the food is well-prepared by hand. We ordered the LouEddie's Special pizza with two bottled sodas and a cool souvenir tote bag. The pizza was so delicious and the crust wasn't too thick, which is perfect.
Our weekend getaway in Lake Arrowhead landed us at LouEddie's Pizza. We had the Yard Sale pizza and Greek salad. Both were delicious! Be prepared for a long wait, it was packed! Hands down one of the best pizzas I've had. Prices were reasonable, the staff were friendly. If you're ever visiting Lake Arrowhead, make sure to put LouEddie's on your list of must try's.
Would have been a 5/5 but wait time was a little crazy but we're crazy and we waited an hour and forty mins for pizza was it worth it? honestly it was solid pizza wish I had ordered another since we waited so long. I wish we planned better and ordered ahead because it was so busy and seating was very limited because the outdoor patio area was closed. The bar area downstairs was full as well and the eating area upstairs we stood around for quit awhile before finally finding a spot to sit. Service was nice and helpful they were trying to pump Those pizzas out.
Setting was nice. Restaurant has multiple levels and you need to take stairs to access the patio and bar seating. Patio is most desirable and people were avoiding sitting near bathroom in bar area. Had to wait a while before an outdoor seating opened up but luckily snagged one before food came out. This was during Memorial Day weekend lunch Pizza was really disappointing. It's not bad value for 2 people in a remote place. But what we had you couldn't call a pizza. It was very watery, hardly any tomato sauce and when taking a slice the cheese slides off the pizza because of how watery and slippery it was. I'm flabbergasted how this place is a top place to eat. It's definitely one of the most disappointing places to eat based off the Margherita pizza. It's possible the other pies are much better and Margherita is just not something they do well. But there's just no way it's top 100 place to eat. Dominos is even better than this. Businesses in remote locations get more of a pass given lack of competition. The outdoor natural beauty charm lends itself well to exaggerated social media portrayals. I never ate at a place where the food was so far off and disappointing given the accolades they received. If you're here on a day trip and just looking for something notable to eat, I would not recommend here unless you're on a tight budget
Saw this place on TikTok and knew we had to try it before heading to Big Bear! This place is located in/near Lake Arrowhead. Parking is a bit tight and small so you might have to walk a bit to the place. They also make everything FRESH!! So be aware of long wait times. We went for a BBQ Chicken Pizza only. The pizza was fresh, thin crust, and made us want to get more. I'd say get at least 2 pizzas or add a salad/garlic knots to make the wait worth it (and so you're not hungry waiting). There is a bar at the bottom of the stairs to get drinks from as well if you didn't get any when you ordered inside. There is limited seating inside, but plenty outside in the downstairs area! While waiting I took pics of the surrounding area and was in love with the aesthetic of the entire area. I just wanted to wander around and admire the trees/decor all day.
Went around this area for a solo trip. I've always been wanting to try LouEddies and made sure to make a stop! The ambiance was so nice, workers were so welcoming, and they had an amazing live singer playing his guitar and harmonica. I ordered a caprese salad, the tomatoes were a bit too thin for my liking just for flavor balance wise but overall it was still good. For the pizza I got the LouEddies special, I was intrigued by the caramelized onions and honestly they make it so well the pizza was sooo good! The bottom bit of the crust was a bit burnt but I personally like the charred taste
I loved this spot! I came with my family while visiting the area. The place opens at 4, and we arrived at about 3:50pm and there was already a short line just fyi! So you place your order at their counter, and then go take a seat. The staff was very friendly and outgoing, and helped us out understanding what might be best for us to order. They do let you know the pizza takes about 45min to make since it is made fresh. My family was able to dine inside and it's a very charming spot! The bar is downstairs as well and the man working it was very nice! We ordered a salad and two different pizzas; the Loueddies special and the margarita pizza. The salad dressing was very good and personally the margarita pizza was my favorite, so good!!! I loved all the decor on the inside, as well as the outside. The have both indoor and outdoor seating, with a heater outside if you dine in the winter. I think this spot is definitely a place to eat when in Lake Arrowhead!! Also side note- they sell frozen pizzas and I noticed while in line that many people were taking those to go!
Good pizza on the mountain? LouEddie's makes pizza the way I like it. I got my cheese pizza and it was nice and thin. It had a great undercarriage and nice and crispy almost to the point of well done. Well done Lou! Rating this like Portnoy. Solid 7.5, which is a great score. My buddies came in an hour after me and they couldn't get a pizza because the wait was 2 hours. What kind of person ruins everyones Friday ordering 80 pizzas from a small restaurant like this?
Make sure you stop here if you're in lake arrowhead, sky forest or even big bear! They might have a wait on the weekends, but their pizza is really fantastic. They have good service and the pizzas are made when ordered with super fresh ingredients. They have outdoor seating when it's not too cold! It can be a little hard to find seating indoors when it's cold out, but it's really worth the wait. Parking in front, on the street.
LouEddie's Pizza was a decent overall experience. Parking was a little difficult but the view was very beautiful and made up for it. The service was average and nothing really stood out. The pizza was pretty good and met expectations. We did have to wait about an hour for our food which was a downside. Aside from the wait everything was fine. Overall it was a good experience. It did not blow me away but I would not be opposed to coming back in the future.
Delicious pizzas here! Service is very efficient despite how busy they can be. We ordered over the phone on July 4 and it was about a 70 min wait. Wasn't an issue for us cuz we were enjoying our Airbnb stay. They were on time with the takeout order. Part of me wishes we ate there cuz their downstairs outside patio was a vibe. Interested in dining in over there in the future. We loved our pizza orders and would come again. It's 8 slices for a regular pizza. Probably would request for a larger size if you want to share it with others. Would assume they have that option. Just wish our BBQ Chicken pizza didn't come out slightly burnt. We struggled to find a great place for lunch in Arrowhead and lucked into Lou Eddies. Brian, who takes the orders is fast, efficient and super friendly. We got a Yard Sale pizza (a sort of everything pizza) and a custom three cheese pizza (mozzarella, asiago and Parmesan). They have a great selection of other cheeses like ricotta and smoked Gouda for next time. We also got a large Greek pizza which was very fresh. Dining inside is limited but fun & cozy right in front of the pizza oven or outside downstairs in a cool wooded glen. 5 starts for Lou Eddies, Brian, and the team! read more

The place was ranked #72 on the Yelp's Top 100 Places to Eat in the U.S. for 2015. The pizzeria specializes in fire-roasted artisan New York style pizza. [Parking]: I had no issue finding a parking spot at 1 PM on Sunday - there are designated parking spots in front of the pizzeria. [Ordering]: The cashier told our party that the wait will be 45 minutes and our party ended up placing one pizza order. The cashier gave us a buzzer and we just waited in the outdoor patio area in the back. [Atmosphere & amenity]: Right next to the pizzeria there's an onsite brewery. I had no cellular signal with T-Mobile, but the pizzeria offers free WiFi (must be near the cashier counter area to receive WiFi) so it was helpful to reload my GPS direction before leaving. The outdoor patio area has a beautiful view with trees and cabins surrounding the whole area. [Menu]: Yelp's top highlights are Yard Sale Pizza, BBQ Chicken Pizza, and Loueddies Special Pizza (also one of the featured items listed on Toast ordering platform). Our Airbnb host and boat tour guide both recommended this place. Came here Sunday late afternoon and the patio's a vibe and surrounded by trees! Unfortunately didn't have any live music but that must be such a vibe during those hours. Pizzas are all 13" and 8 slices and beer selections good, a lil pricey tbh ($20+ depending on the toppings) but to be expected since it's one of the few options in the mountains. I've only been here once and had no idea it was on TikTok. Was visiting family and they suggested we go there for dinner. FYI parking is sparse Because it's in an old building - ordering pizza was separate from the bar. If you haven't been there before the layout would be a little tricky to get this hang of We ordered pizza and Bruschetta and was told it would be an hour for the pizza. Fine I get it - it's a tiny place. Several tables inside and out but you have to kind of hover and grab one if it's busy. Outside is pretty surrounded by trees. Reordering drinks in the bar was a little tough because of the number of people Trying to find a biz for the leftovers be wise they were kind of hidden but I asked the bartender The pizzas were good - quality ingredients but a little pricey. I'd like it if the pizza was a little bigger or priced a little less Bruschetta was good but I wouldn't order again because it me the price wasn't worth the portion I would go back for pizza when I was in the area read more

Absolutely beautiful pizza shop quite literally part of the woods. We got here around 1pm on a Sunday and the wait time was about 1.5 hours for the pizza. And tbh I don't think any pizza could be worth that amount of time, but honestly I cared more about the beautiful patio they had so I didn't mind waiting. I wish I had ordered a different pizza bc the LouEddie special tasted very normal to me. Like nothing wrong with it but i don't think I'll ever crave it either. It's a very solid pizza- beautiful crust and quality but the flavors of this specific flavor just didn't change my life. So I would really recommend this place if you love to sit outside and want to enjoy a very solid pizza and maybe order something else off the menu! read more

Ordered 2 pizzas for pick up. Took 30 mins for 2 pizzas. White out 7/10 It had good flavor I loved the ricotta cheese. It was burnt though. The crust and underneath were severely overcooked. It ruined the taste of the white out pizza. Slide peak 7/10 This was just okay. My husband and dad shared this one and they were unimpressed. The pizza crust was super thin. And the flavor just wasn't there. Even with all of the toppings, it was lacking. We ordered for pickup. And almost died because of driving in the thick fog. The restaurant is located at the Rim of the World. And the fog was so thick there. It was scary. And sadly, the pizza wasn't worth risking my life. The ambiance was definitely busy. I'm bummed that the pizza wasn't mind blowing. I've had this place bookmarked for a long time. read more

Very very good pizza, some of the best I have had. Also the longest wait for pizza I have ever had haha! We actually made it for takeout cause we were sitting waiting to get our food so long we got tired loll. I think I would get it again but definitely just for takeout and not to sit there. The outside is very pretty, they did have a nice bar too. There is lots of seating it's just so packed especially on the weekend it's hard to find a spot to sit. The vibe is definitely woodsy and you're surrounded by beautiful trees. Parking also was packed. Overall a nice place but definitely more takeout friendly than sit down. read more

Visited this place during a trip to Lake Arrowhead. Saw it on social media and decided to give it a try. We ordered 2 pizzas for 7 people because it was kind of pricey. The wait time was 1-1.5 hours. It was okay because we had no other plans that day and killed time by ordered the beer and wine flights. Pizza came out and we ate it all in 5 minutes. They have frozen pizza to-go, so we took a couple of those too. Service was nice. Ambiance was great! read more

Came in for dinner on a Monday evening and it was such a vibe! Cool little pizza spot in the mountains! You order upstairs and then go downstairs to have your food brought to you! There was live music that was pretty cool too! Pretty crowded for a Monday evening but we were able to find seats fine. Our food came out at a decent time and service was very friendly! What we ordered: -LouEddie's Special: This was a thin pizza with lots of toppings just thrown on top but it was really good! The caramelized onions were the best part! It was a good amount to share between the 3 of us! 4/5 -Garlic Knots: These were good too! One order comes with 2 very large pieces. The garlic chunks and rosemary on top were great. 4/5 Overall, this was the perfect place to end off your little trip to Arrowhead! The vibes were so great and so was the food! I definitely recommend trying to come on a night when there's live music because it definitely feels like you're in a small town in the middle of nowhere, definitely not SoCal! This place was great! Super kind staff, amazing pizza. Very homey and cozy decor. The bathroom is filled with signs about beer, "wish you were beer", "I wouldn't hate Mondays so much if there was beer on tap at work." That type of stuff. Love it. Great vibes, quality food. Dang! This was such a let down. We'd heard such amazing things about it and felt it would be worth the wait to try, but it fell so flat for us. The salad was just meh and basic. The pizza was undercooked with average sauce and crust (probably due to it being undercooked). The veggies on top look like they were thrown on top after the fact and weren't cooked with the pizza. The price and the wait (about an hour which was expected) was definitely not worth it, but glad we tried it and know we don't need to go back. Two stars because the people and ambience were great. I loved outback, it felt so quaint, but seating was tough and it was freezing with minimal heaters. read more

This is by far the best pizza up the mountain. I like the pizza better here more than the pizza options in Big Bear too. The only thing is you have to call in your order and then go pick it up and bring it back to your hotel/house OR you have to get there (before you want to eat) and be prepared to wait. If you want to eat the pizza there you'll probably have to wait too so be warned - BUT their pizza is so good that it's worth the wait. Also be prepared that if you want pizza during a peak time (like during a sports game) you have to plan in advance since there'll be a long wait - the wait is sooo worth it though for the delicious pizza! So LouEddies has pizza flavor combinations that sound sketchy but actually end up tasting really delicious! Our favorite pizzas to order are the: 1) Mad Greek: This is our favorite! It is also vegetarian for those that need that. I often drizzle balsamic over it and yum it's amazing. It comes with: Pizza Sauce, Mozzarella, Roasted Tomatoes, Feta, Kalamata Olives, Pepperoncini, Artichoke Hearts, Oregano 2) Tuscan Chicken: This one just sounds weird but it actually tastes super delicious! It comes with: Honey Mustard Sauce, Mozzarella, Chicken Breast, Fresh Tomatoes, Red Onion, Peppadew Piquante Peppers, Ricotta, Balsamic Vinegar, Fresh Basil 3) LouEddie's Special: LouEddie's Sauce (Pizza & Pesto), Mozzarella, Homemade Sausage, Pepperoni, Caramelized Onions, Mushrooms - this is a really delicious flavor combination and I really love the caramelized onions and blend of sauces! **Another favorite is the BBQ chicken which is my favorite type of pizza and always delicious! I just didn't mention it since they have so many unique bespoke pizzas here that I normally get the ones special to LouEddies but their BBQ chicken is really yummy too! read more

We ate here several years ago when vacationing in Lake Arrowhead. We were excited to stop in again on our way there again. Not quite as good of an experience. Everything is way overpriced. The knots had way too much garlic, not edible. The salad was ok. 1 tomatoes a couple olives and a little cheese. The pizza was ok. Barely warm. Caramelized onions were more like sautéed onion. Barely any sauce or pesto. Service was good. Outdoor seating was the best part. read more

Saw how popular this place was and had to try it. Staff were super friendly. The wait to get our food was about 2 hours. I would recommend to arrive at opening or before as the line gets lengthy. I will say the pizza was not my fav maybe because when we did it get it, it was a bit cold already. They also said we would get a text when our order went into the oven but never received a text. If you're in Lake Arrowhead and looking for a wood fire pizza, you must stop by LouEddie's, grab a cozy seat by their outdoor patio, and enjoy every bite!!! I happened to find them through the Airbnb I was in, our host kindly left us suggestions and when I saw wood fire pizza, I had to rush for my favorite Margherita pizza and it did not disappoint. I also saw their garlic and rosemary knots that I could not stop eating!! I love garlic, and I'm picky with my bread, but knowing they were highly recommended, I wanted to give it a try. I now wished I would have bought more to go. I'm so glad to know I now have a new spot when I visit the area. Oh and did I mentioned how sweet all their staff was?? From the cashier when ordering your pizza, to the lovely bartender downstairs, to the staff checking your table to see if you're ok, to them having boxes to go all around the place to make it easier for you. And last thing, I kept reading this place gets packed. But I got lucky to walk in with no line and only two more tables sitting, pizza only took 30 minutes. How do you order for pickup? I have called the number many times over the last 2 hours with no one picking up?
Go there and order. They are so busy, they don't have time to answer the phone.

Is there an issue with their phone automated system? Trying to get through to place an order, but not sure if it a random glitch or they are closed for the Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend.
Their phone system isn't the best and they're vm gets full cuz they never return calls. Just keep calling
What is the difference between the pizza sauce and the plant based red sauce?
They had told us the red sauce has cheese in it and plant based does not.

They seem to get really busy and at times and not answer the phone or maybe they're just taking the day off. I do like their pizza though so I'm ok with a 2hr wait too I guess.
Do they wear masks here? My question is about the employees there. Last time we swung by no one wore masks. I need to be careful I have elderly parents so just wanted to check.? Edit: yes of course I'll be wearing a masks too.
I've been twice in the last 8 weeks or so and they have employees either not wearing them or wearing them incorrectly.

Does anyone know if I can get a vegan pizza here? Like just ask for no cheese, and for the crust to be vegan?
yes the staff will make you a pizza anyway you like it. We always get a pizza with black olives and pineapple.
