Another fantastic meal at Osorio Brothers! Easy parking outside and a clean and bright cozy interior. My order: The Beef Stroganoff Pasta is definitely special here. Generous portions of Beef coupled with a flavorsome and rich sauce. The BBQ Chicken Pizza w/ added Alfredo Sauce was next level in flavor also. Ordered pizza picked it up within 15 minutes and it was ice cold! Called and the person that answered the phone informed me I should have picked it up within 15 minutes. Mind you I'm two minutes from the restaurant. Thought I would give it another try and ordered a pastrami sandwich that came out soaking wet in the bottom informed the server and was told that's how the sandwich is made!!! Truly saddening I used to love this place and would eat there weekly.. I will not return. They refused to give me a refund or remake the pizza. read more

When traveling with an appetite along Hwy. 18 en route to Lake Arrowhead or Big Bear, your growling, hangry tummy will definitely be grateful if you make a stop at Osorio Brother's Cafe in Rim Forest - AND, unlike some of my other favorite mountain spots, they're open late! (I don't know if 9:00 is technically considered "late," but it's better than closing in the mid-afternoon.) The diner itself looks smallish as you pass it on Hwy. 18, but it actually can accommodate about fifty patrons. It's an older building with the restroom on a lower level, but it's clean, the furnishings are in good repair, and the decor is tasteful. If you find no parking along the highway in front, there is additional parking in the rear. What also makes this place a "must try" is the friendly and attentive staff and reasonable prices. It's apparent this little gem is a favorite of locals, and it's equally easy to understand why. No lie - on my latest Saturday evening visit (around 7pm-ish) our order was out in LITERALLY five minutes - and the restaurant was full when we arrived! Both my fellow guest and I laughed when our server (tongue-in-cheek) apologized for the wait - yes, everything was cooked fully. The menu is large with selections appropriate for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and they also have daily specials, too. Osorio Brother's even makes their own pizzas and calzones. Additionally, there is full bar service with beer, wine, mixed drinks, and even weekday Happy Hour specials. With good-sized portions, friendly service, a variety of menu options, and prices that won't empty your wallet there's something for everyone in your party to enjoy at Osorio Brother's Diner. A no-frills but clean, comfortable spot away from the crowds in Lake Arrowhead. The pizza is the highlight of their menu, but this cafe is NOT short on options for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We shared a meat lover's and a supreme (everything) pizza. The crust was perfect - soft and flavorful with a very crispy bottom and just the right crunch around the edges. The chef was generous (maybe too much? I used a fork to get the ones that fell off my slices). They also had a good selection of beers and sodas to wash everything down. Service was prompt and friendly. Other guests had ordered breakfast items and some of their other offerings - I will definitely be back to try them because they look good! read more

Second time coming here and it was a pleasant visit both times! First time I got two of their breakfast specials and was shocked by how cheap it was and how much food we got, It was also good quality food! This second time I got a breakfast burrito and it was the perfect size and tasted good. If I'm being picky I would add a little more meat to the burritos as the bell peppers were quite strong in the burrito but overall was good! Service was good and the food was always out quickly. I love how they redid the place though; i loved the old cottage but this building definitely needed an upgrade and they did an excellent job! I visited this place during my trip to Lake Arrowhead since it's conveniently located right at the entrance/exit of the small town. It looked tempting, but let me warn you--don't do it! The service was absolutely terrible. Our waiter had a bad attitude from start to finish, and despite the restaurant being small, they somehow managed to ignore us completely. The excuse of being "busy" doesn't cut it here--you literally have to beg for attention. To make matters worse, we were rushed out of our table while we were still eating because there were people waiting. Excuse me? We're paying customers too. As for the food? Mediocre at best. There are plenty of other options nearby where they actually care about their customers. Finally, the cherry on top: the waiter with the attitude had the audacity to bring us the check with a $40 gratuity already included. Absolutely not. I asked him to take it off because the service was horrible. He responded in a rude and aggressive tone, saying, "I'll take it off this time, but I won't do it next time." Well, guess what? There won't be a next time! Do yourself a favor and skip this place--there are far better spots in Lake Arrowhead. read more

I've passed this restaurant several times on my way to Lake Arrowhead. This morning I decided to stop. From the front in looks like a small diner however once inside there is plenty of seating. We entered and we were quickly greeted by a waitress ( Ale, hope that's the correct spelling), who brought our drink order right away. I ordered a chili verde omelette (large and delicious). Ale made sure we were satisfied and always had hot coffee, I love having a never ending cup of hot coffee! These guys use to be at the Bear House in top town Crestline and I loved the food and the service. Now they have moved but the amazing food and friendly service have followed them. I absolutely love the soup here clam chowder, squash, and albondigas are some of my favorites. They also make a good pizza. I wanted to hate them because The Cottage was just sooooo good and I was salty they left and Osorio Brothers took over the space. The salad was the first thing I ever tried and I was underwhelmed, it was a Cobb and was basically cold cuts, bagged lettuce etc. Of course, I hate salads to begin with, so do with that review what you will. But let me tell you about the Cuban Sandwich. Omg, drool worthy. And well, sandwiches/melts are definitely more my jam and I can confidently say they get this right. I've had it multiple times now and it's always hot, melty, crispy crunchy bread perfection. The fries could use more salt, but they're always piping hot and crunchy. Once I get out of this Cuban Sandwich phase, I'll update the review with some of the other choices they offer I haven't tried the pizza yet, but other patrons say it's on par with what The Cottage served, which means a lot because The Cottage was hard to beat! read more
