Apparently I am a glutton for punishment when it comes to poor performance by Domino's Pizza in Rimforest. October 26th was my birthday and a friend in Orange County offered me dinner on them. They were expecting I would order steak and potatoes but instead I just wanted a couple of pizza pies from Domino's Pizza. I even entertain the thought that Domino's might throw in some cinnamon sticks to say happy birthday to a regular customer. That wasn't to be the case. Domino's has been hit and miss. This last time will be the last time and was not only a complete miss, but contained fabrications and outright lies of the staff. At 7:00 p.m. I called Domino's to let them know that a friend of the ordering for delivery to me. Since I'm already in the computer system, my address information popped right up. The individual I spoke with was quite friendly and told me that it was not a problem and that they appreciated the heads up. That's when things went sideways. At 7:03 p.m. my friend placed the order by phone and agreed to allow me to sign the credit card receipt upon delivery. This could not happen until Domino's actually delivered. To make a long story short, I never got my pies. At approximately 7:45 p.m., please don't hold me to exact time, I telephoned to ask where my pies were and the individual jumped down my throat about how they had 12 deliveries and only one driver; that when the driver returned, my order would go straight out. That was not to be the case. I called again at approximately 8:15 p.m. Still no delivery of my pizza. Once again I had somebody jump all over me about 12 deliveries and only one driver. Certainly they had a problem. At this point I demanded to know whether my pies would be delivered and I was told that they would be. This was not to be the case once again. At 8:33 p.m. I telephoned Domino's Pizza again demanding to know where my pies were at they were ordered at 7:03 p.m. the individual I spoke with was extremely rude and went so far as to yell at me "I don't care!" "Are you going to deliver my pizzas," I asked? "I don't care!" "What is your name please?" "Slater." "Slater?" "Yes. Slater." "So you don't care if I get my order delivered?" "No I don't care!" At approximately 9:10 p.m. a driver pulled up and was at the wrong location. Domino's telephoned my friend that actually placed the order who texted me and I confirmed where I was located. At this point I had the driver yelling across an open parking lot in the dead of silence telling me that he was at unit 2. I've never resided in unit 2. I told him in return that I was in Suite B of the lodge and asked him to come to me. That I was disabled and could not walk to him. He didn't come to me. He told me that unless my name was Evelyn he couldn't leave my pies. He left without making a delivery. This could have been the end of it but I decided to call and speak with the manager on October 28th. I spoke with Scott whom I have spoken with before. Scott completely flipped the script and blamed everything on me and accused me of using obscene language against his staff. This was a bold-faced lie! At no time did I use profanity and more to the point, I was the aggrieved customer. "Slater" was a fake name. Scott said he had no one there by that name. Would seem to lend credibility to my complaint. Now that we've confirmed that was a fake name, Scott moved on to tell me that they would no longer deliver to me in the future. Why? Because I made previous complaints regarding the quality of the pizzas. I will not pay for undercooked pizzas. Their solution to valid complaints is to refuse me service in the future. Scott encouraged me to contact the corporate office knowing full well that they are a franchise and its corporate office has no control over them. More to the point about corporate, you get to talk to Dot, their Bot. The way of the world now. You get to talk with a computer. Referring me to the corporate office that Scott knew would not be able to assist me was delivered on his part. It was his way of telling me he didn't care. If people are willing to accept subpar pizzas or the service that goes along with their delivery they will never improve. I would say don't hold it against me but that's exactly what they have done. They haven't been able to get their act together since covid. The fact that they only have one driver is not my concern, just as yelling at me several times that they had 12 orders over a 2-hour period out for delivery was not my concern. Thank you Dominoes employees for staying open when all the other food places close early. We arrived late and Dominoes stays open until 10:30pm. Our food was made just as we expected it and it tasted delicious. Employees were appreciative of my visit and I felt welcome. I would recommend Dominoes pizza to those looking for a good bite of pizza, especially if you want something to eat later once everybody is closed for the night. It took an hour for one basic pizza and a side ordered online via their app. It took them 20 minutes longer than the app showed. Then an extra 10 more than that (and after my order was marked as ready in the app) because they put the wrong items in the oven. Avoid this place if you don't have an hour to sit around for an order that should take no more than 20 minutes. I will say that all three employees I spoke to were very nice. Slow down, double check that you're handing people the correct items, and for heaven's sake MEASURE THE TOPPINGS like you're supposed to. I don't care if it's dinner rush. Customers would rather wait 5 extra minutes and have you do your job correctly, than have you rushing and f*cking it all up. Our pizza had a freaking SAD amount of sauce and cheese on it. Some spots so bare that all you could see was the dough that goes underneath. And we ordered garlic parm bread twists, but you gave us cinnamon. Reading a list of items and then handing those items to a person is not a difficult job. Take some pride in what you're doing, slow down, and focus on the quality. Or stop complaining that you make minimum wage, because doing mediocre work means you're never going to move up. Take it from someone who became a manager at McDonald's after only working there for three months...and fast forward to today and I make six figures as a Senior Project Manager for a software company. This was the worst experience I have had ordering pizza ever! The manager Marissa spoke to me so rudely. I have literally NEVER been spoken over the phone in such a "I don't care about you, my job, or your food" kind of a way. I ordered my food at 6:48. It came out of the oven at 7:17. Delivery driver left at 7:50 and I called at 8:40 to see if something had happened to the driver and for an update on my order. The manager told me "your food is not the only order, I don't know what to tell you" and that "the tracker is wrong because it's on down the hill time" her tone was dismissive and rude, she was so snarky and she was unbearable to be on the phone with. The food arrived just before 9pm (well over 2 hours later) The food was cold, the left out 16 piece wings and another 8 piece wings (these were the orders of the young kids who had waited over 2 hours for no food to arrive. If I could give this review no stars I would. Placed an o line order at 3:45 and was told I could pick it up at 4:13. I showed up to pick it up and was told that it would be an additional 15 minutes. I sat in my car and waited and then got the green light to go in. It was 4:20. I got in the store and the tracker showed that it was ready in the store. I waited and was told it was being boxed up. I could see the guy who was boxing the order and could see that was not the case. People that came after me and ordered in the store got their order as I sat and waited. I finally snapped and asked about it and was told that they had not even put it in the oven. I can't even explain my anger as the called name after name. So we ordered from here before and never once had a problem. Until last night. We had just got up to the cabin as doing the normal routine of checking on things gets you hungry, I decided to order up three items. That's it and an 8$ tip for the $29 food. I know it's not the biggest tip but it's something. I really wanted to try the new tater tots as well. Well we order 7:33, marissa quality check order at 7:51, and then it was cancelled around 5mins before 9:00pm, when they close. Seeing as how business struggles up here, I would assume you would call the customer, or send an email regarding why they cancelled. Anyway, I ate some special K it's all good. The employees work hard..the Mgmt and Directors of this location FAIL miserably. Tonight I order online and drive to pickup. I get there, and they tell me the pizza tracker isn't right. Then I hear one of the employees tell a customer "Sorry, we are out of salads, icing, diet coke, etc. this is while the online ordering system lets you order these items. They told me that they cannot deliver to me anymore and hung up on me because there have been "too many complaints from this address". I asked to speak to the manager and the person on the phone said that he was the manager so I asked him what his name was and he said "I can't give you that information" and hung up on me! We ordered from them at least 1-2 times a week and thought that they appreciated our business. we only ever complained when the order was incorrect or the food was made poorly. I thought that was the customer's right to get what they paid for and if it wasn't right to get it corrected. Apparently because they made too many mistakes that we had them correct, now we've been 86'd and treated like we did something wrong. Bad business practice to frequent, longtime customer's to be treated this way. They don't value their customers at all. I ordered a small hand-tossed pizza with light cheese, mushrooms, olives, onions, and chicken. I arrived at the location and my pizza was done on time and piping hot. The man running the register was friendly and made the pick-up process a breeze. He also remembered the red pepper flakes I ordered with my pizza. Terrible service - we never received our pizza! We are visiting and staying at Lake Arrowhead Resort and was tracking our order on the app. I called the front desk ahead to let them know but also sent our kids down to the lobby to just wait for it too. The app showed it was delivered but called my kids from our room and they said nobody came thru the main doors with pizza. I went down myself to make sure and the lobby was empty and asked the front desk employee and she said she's seen everyone walk thru bc they are not busy and no one came with pizza. She even said that my kids were watching and waiting the whole time. So I called this location and spoke to a manager and he said "well my driver said he went to the lobby and someone claimed it was theirs and took it. And he came back with no pizzas. So that's all I can say." I said well he went to the wrong hotel maybe and he said no, he went to Arrowhead Resort. So I said ok well I'm telling you that your driver is lying so you should address that and your response as a manager is not ok. He didn't apologize and kept insisting it got delivered. Waited another 45 minutes and they were finally ready. Was a bit upset since I paid almost 50 bucks, but was just glad to leave. Now watching my wife gag on a hairball that was in the pizza seemed to be a bit more than I expected. Most ridiculous experience. Placed my order at 6:30 estimated 35-45 minutes. I only live 8 minutes away. (I'd pick up if I didn't have a baby). My order stays at out of oven for over 45 minutes. 1:30 minutes into waiting and calling I get through and the guy on the line says their closed and only checking orders. He tells me he's waiting on a driver and can't tell me how much longer, at least 20 minutes more. Not a holiday or weekend just a normal weekday.
