This is a local's favorite! This is worth a try. Quaint small town cafe with great service and good food. The parking is limited and inside is small. I enjoyed the home style American food cooking, I will definitely be back.

The pancake syrups came out really warm!

A very warm and welcoming restaurant for a breakfast or lunch in the Valley of Enchantment area of Crestline. Staff were very friendly and attentive, food was tasty and of good portion sizes, and fairly priced. Parking outside the establishment is limited.

This diner is cute. My friend and I sat outside on the deck and it was a pleasant dining experience. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating. The diner is decorated in 50s retro with some music playing on inside. The chicken strips and pastrami were great and the service was excellent. The prices are reasonable.

Best diner style place on the mountain. Also treated with love and respect unlike the a different cafe I've been too in crestline. Everyone should make this their favorite spot.

Part of the cozy but comfortable and clean interior of the Heart Rock Diner. Be sure to see the many historic photographs shown on the left

This small restaurant in the Valley of Enchantment area of Crestline has now been reborn and is in in the hands of one of Crestline's well known and beloved waitresses who has now taken the jump into restaurant ownership. She has put her many years of experience into very good use. This is a small building with very limited parking out front, but there is plenty more space across the street just to the west of the post office. Once inside, you will see historic and retro decor fitting of the mountain location. The service is as good and friendly as one could want. The food at this time is standard diner fare, but cooked to perfection with good quality ingredients. At this very early stage, it is only open for breakfast and lunch, but being open until 8 PM will be coming in the future. Also at this time, payment is cash only, but that should be ending soon once the payment machine is approved and delivered. There are a lot of choices in the San Bernardino Mountains for diner-style fare. Even though a bit out of the way, Heart Rock Diner has already jumped to the top of my list here in Crestline.

It's great to have a diner so close to Cedarpines Park. Perfect spot if you don't have to run into town. Great atmosphere, friendly service and staff. The food and prices are amazing!

Overall, this was a great stop and an easy place to recommend. I genuinely enjoyed my time here and would have loved to come back again before leaving, but unfortunately my friends and I didn't have the time. Arrived with a party of 4 and there was a short wait to get seated. There's about a total of 12 or so tables but it was moving at a decent pace. Unfortunately things went south from there. Got seated and the waiters were pretty fast and attentive. I had an early breakfast so decided to go with the lunch Patty Melt as it was a restaurant house specialty. Friends ordered the BBQ sandwich and Ragin Cajun. It took almost 30+ minutes for the food to come out and most of the meats came out very dried for some reason. The fries were fabulous though. Decor is very mountain diner-esque but clean and comfy. Maybe what we ordered was not exactly their specialty as I saw lots of people eating breakfast. But the lunch menu was just not it on Sunday sadly. Was so hungry from the long wait that I even forgot to take photos of my food.

We opted to sit outside and they turned on all of their outdoor heaters for us, even though we're were initially the only ones out there. It was a cold night but the heaters made it comfortable. I ordered the chicken tenders and fries. One of my friends ordered the bacon bbq burger with onion rings. We split these plates so we could both try two different dishes. I accidentally ordered a buffalo sauce instead of the bbq for my nuggets, and I was not a fan of the sauce. It was a dark sauce with too much smokiness to it. My friend ordered a side of bbq and that one was much better. The tenders are crispy and pair well with their bbq sauce or their ranch. The burger was also tasty. Fries were okay and I did not like their onion rings. They had a different taste to them. I couldn't put my finger on the flavor but it wasn't good in my opinion. My other friend ordered mozzarella sticks, and they were not good. No cheese pull, and it honestly tasted like moderately fried string cheese. The food took a really long time to come out. I know they were busy, but once the food came, we inhaled it because of how hungry we were. The vibes there are excellent though. We really enjoyed the music and the staff were fantastic. I still recommend making a pit stop here if you're ever in the Crestline area.

The shop is located in a fairly busy strip mall with lots of different cultural food options. It's a small mom and pop shop, a little too cluttery for my liking, but I think that's just the charm of it. They have a simple menu and a selection of Vietnamese foods/drinks, not just baguettes. Upon ordering, the lady stated that everything is made to order and that placing an order over the phone would be best. I left spending $50 on two banh mi baguettes and three orders of spring rolls. I was quite shocked at how fast that added up. I was even more shocked once I received my order! Spring rolls: Pork: decent flavor, moist and tasteful. Shrimp: literally just ONE shrimp (they halved them) in the spring roll. Beef: more like beef jerky. The meat was so dry and tough. The sauce for the spring rolls had some flavor but not as much as I would like. Express special baguette: Bread: was good, crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside, not the kind of bread that's flaky, leave too much crumbs or cuts the roof of your mouth. Filling: pate on the bread, with a few slices of cold cut Vietnamese meats and a sprinkle of veggies. The baguette, along with the spring rolls were definitely overpriced. It looks like everything was just sprinkled on top. There were a lot of lettuce in the spring rolls, but even that wasn't fresh. For the price of the baguette, we could have at least gotten more veggies such as the pickled carrots/cucumbers/cilantro. For the quality and portions of the food, I wouldn't mind paying a few dollars less. But for the amount they were charging, I expected a little bit more. Overall, wasn't impressed with this place.
