The contents inside my baguette
Nina N.

I'm upset to be leaving such a low review but I can't remember the last time I was so disappointed at a banh mi shop. The shop is located in a fairly busy strip mall with lots of different cultural food options. It's a small mom and pop shop, a little too cluttery for my liking, but I think that's just the charm of it. They have a simple menu and a selection of Vietnamese foods/drinks, not just baguettes. Upon ordering, the lady stated that everything is made to order and that placing an order over the phone would be best. I left spending $50 on two banh mi baguettes and three orders of spring rolls. I was quite shocked at how fast that added up. I was even more shocked once I received my order! Spring rolls: Pork: decent flavor, moist and tasteful. Shrimp: literally just ONE shrimp (they halved them) in the spring roll. Beef: more like beef jerky. The meat was so dry and tough. The sauce for the spring rolls had some flavor but not as much as I would like. Express special baguette: Bread: was good, crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside, not the kind of bread that's flaky, leave too much crumbs or cuts the roof of your mouth. Filling: pate on the bread, with a few slices of cold cut Vietnamese meats and a sprinkle of veggies. The baguette, along with the spring rolls were definitely overpriced. It looks like everything was just sprinkled on top. There were a lot of lettuce in the spring rolls, but even that wasn't fresh. For the price of the baguette, we could have at least gotten more veggies such as the pickled carrots/cucumbers/cilantro. For the quality and portions of the food, I wouldn't mind paying a few dollars less. But for the amount they were charging, I expected a little bit more. Overall, wasn't impressed with this place.

got brought by the pho

got burnt here by the pho and unfortunately had to go to the ambulance and stay in the hospital for a week. The bunnies are pretty good, especially the beef ones.

Insanely good bread on Bahn Mis here. The proportions of everything in the sandwich were perfect with great jalapeños. The service is fantastic enough to make anyone come back with very sweet owners!

Thai iced tea , taro boba milk tea, and Vietnamese style iced coffee.

Best Vietnamese iced coffee in San Bernardino. The waitress I believe is the owner is super friendly. I've only done take out so I didn't really dine in.

Teriyaki beef banh mi, vegetarian banh mi

This place is such a gem! Tucked away in an unassuming strip mall, this little restaurant consistently serves up delicious sandwiches, soup, smoothies, and other tasty treats. The women who work there are so friendly and kind, and they make an effort to remember your order if you're a regular (which we most definitely are). I love their vegetarian banh mi sandwich, spring rolls, and egg rolls, and I'll get cà phê sữa đá (strong, Vietnamese style coffee with sweetened condensed milk) as a special treat. My partner is obsessed with their teriyaki beef banh mi. They cook fresh bread for their sandwiches throughout the day, and we'll sometimes even order an extra baguette to take home and enjoy later. Thank you, Baguette Express, for making some of the best sandwiches in the Inland Empire!

Half shrimp roll

Greedy owners. One shrimp cut half for spring roll. Dry beef bull chewy like a jerky and small 20% beef to 80% rice. More costly than other Viet places. Don't come here

The staff was young, but they were friendly, patient, and attentive with my group. Even during busier moments, they took their time and were happy to answer questions, which really added to the overall experience. The ambiance stood out as well. It's a quaint café located in a small town, and the large windows provide a clear view of the surrounding area. The space felt cozy, calm, and inviting, which is perfect for sitting and enjoying a drink or taking a short break while exploring the area. Overall, this was a great stop and an easy place to recommend. I genuinely enjoyed my time here and would have loved to come back again before leaving, but unfortunately my friends and I didn't have the time. But if I'm ever back in town, I'd definitely make a point to return!

Love that they do a build your own sandwich, which is what we did since our kiddos are carnivores and need all meat! One of the few boba spots in the area that actually gets it right…read more Ding Tea Rialto is our go-to boba spot and one of the few places in the area where the boba is consistently perfect--chewy, fresh, and never hard or mushy. The drinks are solid across the board, and I really appreciate that you can adjust the sweetness level, so it's easy to customize exactly how you like it. You can tell they use real tea and real ingredients, not just powders and cheap syrups like some other shops. The flavors taste clean and balanced, not artificial. They also have a good variety of toppings besides just boba, so if boba isn't your thing, you still have plenty of options. On top of drinks, they also serve food items, and I always get their bubble waffle with my boba--it's become part of the routine at this point. My family are regulars here, and for us, this is the boba shop that sets the standard in Rialto.

There is easy parking as it is in a plaza with other stores and restaurants. I ordered a regular sized Hokkaido Milk Tea with slight ice and egg pudding. I usually also order it less sweet, but forgot to this time. You can order at the self-serve kiosk or with a staff member. The drink came out quickly. As expected, it was too sweet, but that was my fault for not changing the sugar level. The flavor of the egg pudding was good but the texture was off. It was not as smooth and silky as others I have had. The flavor of the tea was solid. The price of the drink was surprising (~$8). Overall, giving Ding Tea Rialto a 4/5. Service is good and the tea is good. The space is small, but there are some tables to sit and hang out at. Would not be at the top of the list to return to, but would return in the future.
