French toast with added eggs and sausage.

Loved this place! The only thing is that they put chamoy on their Michalada's. (I don't like chamoy, I wish the server would have mentioned it). No big deal. Next time, I'll order without it. To mention this first is what stuck in my head! Lol. Anyways... It is a quaint little cafe in a small shopping center next to the post office. There are a lot of parking spaces and it can get busy, but I say it's worth the wait and I guess for the people who were waiting outside too. We ordered the French toast with egg and sausage and the daily special which was a pork chili verde omelette. I also ordered a side of the biscuit and gravy. Because there is a sign stating that they had the 'BEST' B&G. I am no expert on B&G, but I have had my share of them from Tennessee to Texas, Nevada, Az and up and down Ca. The gravy was EXCELLENT! Thick and rich but not overly floured to make it thick. The bits of sausage and seasoned with just the right amount of pepper. The biscuit was soft and spongy. I understand that there many different camps on how a 'biscuit' should be made. This biscuit was perfect for ME. Well done to the chef! My omelette was fluffy like a Japanese omelette and covered with delicious pork chili verde sauce and melted cheese. The country potatoes were delicious mixed with bell peppers and onions. The French Toast with the add-on eggs & sausage. They have maple & Boysenberry syrup AND the syrup comes out in warmed up bottles. They have lunch and dinner options too. We'll definitely be back. The entire staff was friendly and nice. Helping each other out is always nice to see. This place has a family owned warmth feeling about it. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. This is why I support small businesses. Thanks for your interest and remember to be kind to others.

Prime rib with a baked potato and broccoli

We were in Crestline for 3 days. We only ate at the cafe once. We bought dinners and took them back to our room so we could eat on the balcony, which had a great view. The eatery had a prime rib special. Hubby got fries and corn, and I got a baked potato and steamed broccoli. Service was fast and friendly. The steak was medium and done just right. It practically melted in our mouths. (And I am not much of a red meat eater.) The potato was big and filling and the broccoli was done just right. The special was 2 prime rib dinners for $40. A delicious deal!

Decent american breakfast and brunch. I came here with 9 people and everyone was greatly satisfied with their food. I got the bagel sandwich, and as an avid bagel eater I'd say this passed the bagel sandwich test. Service was quick and great. Very cozy inside too.

    The Logger

The restaurant was fairly busy but even then we waited less than 5 minutes for a table. The servers were incredibly attentive and friendly. A very casual atmosphere to enjoy delicious familiar favorites. The fish and chips was delicious and filling. The Logger had a delicious patty and was delicious with added veg. Two beverages, two entrees, and an appetizer of mozzarella sticks was $57. A little on the higher end for a cafe but this is definitely one of the better eateries on the mountain.

And if you come on the weekend, the live band takes the whole experience to another level. Great music, great food, great people... it's the perfect combo. It's the ideal spot to relax after a long day, hang out with friends, or enjoy a good meal on the mountain. If you're in the area, you definitely need to stop by. Highly recommended!

We opted to sit outside and they turned on all of their outdoor heaters for us, even though we're were initially the only ones out there. It was a cold night but the heaters made it comfortable. I ordered the chicken tenders and fries. One of my friends ordered the bacon bbq burger with onion rings. We split these plates so we could both try two different dishes. I accidentally ordered a buffalo sauce instead of the bbq for my nuggets, and I was not a fan of the sauce. It was a dark sauce with too much smokiness to it. My friend ordered a side of bbq and that one was much better. The tenders are crispy and pair well with their bbq sauce or their ranch. The burger was also tasty. Fries were okay and I did not like their onion rings. They had a different taste to them. I couldn't put my finger on the flavor but it wasn't good in my opinion. My other friend ordered mozzarella sticks, and they were not good. No cheese pull, and it honestly tasted like moderately fried string cheese. The food took a really long time to come out. I know they were busy, but once the food came, we inhaled it because of how hungry we were. The vibes there are excellent though. We really enjoyed the music and the staff were fantastic. I still recommend making a pit stop here if you're ever in the Crestline area.

It was kind of fast and came to see how we were doing every few minutes. The bad experience starts with the food, first of all the price is very expensive compared to the quality of the food, about $30 for two tacos not mention that one taco had only four little shrimps, my wife got the flautas and as soon as she got them, we noticed there were mosquitoes on the food so we returned the plate We ended up eating at a different time because of this problem we still got charged for it, nothing special on the Michelada, which is 18 bucks for only one beer and clamato At the end, we order a dessert of fried ice cream and unfortunately, another bad thing with this food a pubic hair at the bottom of the fried ice cream. It was very nasty. I decided not to complain anymore, but instead to leave a review, this is the first and last time that I'm coming to this place Another thing to point out is the bathroom is in a horrible condition, they don't take the trash out once the bin is full so there's many things that they really have to work on

We both had burgers and fries/onion rings - I had the Ortega burger with cheddar cheese, 5/5, SO GOOD!! WILL GET AGAIN!!! I knew the burger would be good, this place is your "typical diner" - however, I was actually blown away by it!! Fries and onion rings were delicious too!! Salty, crunchy and perfectly cooked. Service was very fast and friendly, and they are true champions with staying on top of the drink refills. There is a large free parking lot right in front so parking is very easy and close. Inside is pretty small, they have about six booths and twice as many counter seats so if it is busy, you may have to wait a little bit, but it will be worth it. For this visit, I chose the Chili Cheese Omelette and really liked it. I wish it would've had less beans and more meat but overall I can't complain because I finished the entire thing. They also do four eggs for their omelettes so it is a bit larger than you will usually get. As mentioned the coffee is great and they will continue the refills the second you need it. It's located in sleepy Running Springs, which is in between Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear. It's less than a 10 minute drive from both locations so it is a really great option for breakfast when visiting. We will be back next time we are visiting the mountains.
