I haven't been to a Carl's Jr. in at least probably 15 years and this was not my first choice but the McDonald's down the street was super crowded and we were in a hurry to get back to SoCal. There's a huge lot here and the crowd ebbs and flows like with any restaurant in that area with tourists. There are two drink machines and not a ton of seating if you have a big party. It's probably a third size of the In N Out down the way if you've been there. Anyway, the women working there were so nice and service was great. They brought our food to the table, helped clean up when my MIL spilled her water cup by accident, and said thank you when we left. I ordered a lettuce wrap burger after already placing my order and she changed it no problem. They seem to enjoy their jobs and were just pleasant and patient. Thank you! read more

Extremely disappointed that my family and I stopped here. We were craving breakfast, so we decided on Carl's Jr while on the way home from Las Vegas. I entered the drive-thru and was as happy as could be because I was going to order the "mix-match" deal. I was really craving a grilled chicken BBQ sandwich. When I approached the intercom, I ordered two barbecue sandwiches using the mix-and-match deal (2 sandwiches for $10.99). The rude female employee replied, "Bacon or sausage biscuit?" I gave my wife sitting next to me, that look a puppy makes when it hears a weird sound. I repeated my order, and the employee once again repeated, "Bacon or cheese biscuit?" By this point, believing that the employee could not hear me correctly, I slowly replied, "I do not want a biscuit or anything. I want two BBQ chicken sandwiches using the mix & match offer." The employee, very clearly, sighed and stated, "Your only choice is a biscuit. Do you want bacon or sausage on your breakfast sandwich?" I replied, "I do not want a breakfast sandwich. Forget my BBQ sandwich. Can I please have an avocado bacon burger in a meal with a Diet Coke?" The employee replied, "You can order the burger, but it does not come in a meal". WHAT! By this time, I am frustrated and state, "Forget it. I don't want anything." The last thing I heard from the female employee over the intercom was, "What an asshole." If you are passing through Barstow, this Carl's is a better choice than the McDonalds at the same exit. The McDs is a madhouse and you have to get a code for the restroom. It is a hassle when you just want a quick bite and be on your way. Carl's has a large parking lot and no restroom code. As far as the food, if you are going to Carl's or McDonalds, you know what to expect. The food here is just like any other Carl's. It seemed clean for the five minutes I was here. I was able to continue my dive with little to no delay. read more

This is by far the best burger I've had from Carl's JR. I ordered a famous star and it was prepared perfectly. Kudos to the cooks. The manager on site MaryJane was just amazing. From taking orders to delivering orders to the tables and taking orders in the drive thru. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was one of the cleanest Carl's Jr I've seen. FFF Horrible Horrendous Horrific time of a horror of an experience here on the night shift smh still!So it is 3:00am and me and my fiancée pull up to Carl's jr with the intent on ordering two burgers!We sit at the intercom waiting for over 5 minutes and we can see the employees walking around but no one is coming to take our order so we think that their intercom may be down so we pull up to the window and wait another 5 minutes!While waiting we hear them taking one of the several cars that has now pulled up behind us order!The window opens and they inform us that they can only take cash as my girl had her debit card in her hand ready to order after informing the lady that no one came to take our order and she responded with,"Oh I'm sorry but we are changing shifts and between 2:50 and 3:15 our computers are rebooting and it's hard to take orders!My girls said well I have cash!She said ,"U can either wait another 10 minutes or u can come back it's up to you!"So we pulled off with no food while the cars behind us had ordered before us before this reboot and since they didn't alert us to this we had to wait despite this not being our fault!So yeah this place will never be graced with our presence again!We are now down the street getting tacos!Yuhpp Carl's jr has just lost a long time customer for sure......Absolutely the worst customer service i've ever received!They could have in the least let us know this beforehand my God just get ur lazy butts to the intercom and inform the people that u clearly see waiting if there was a problem with ur funny little reboot but oh well we've never had a problem at Robertitos!My suggestion to the management?Change ur name to Carls Bs! read more

Been stopping here once every couple months for the last 3 years. Today was the worst experience. Manager yelling at an employee that she can't hear the music. Employee loudly complaining about a drive through customer to 3 employees standing around. Both soda machines had NO ice and werent working properly. Sprite squirted all over my husband and the fruit punch was just syrup. When I went to ask for a cup of ice, I was passed over twice before being asked "what do you need". Then she grabbed my cup and gave it to someone else to fill up. Lastly, an employee had a friend/sister/whoever in there cussing at her and management just stood there. Right off of freeway 15, convenient location, lots of parking, extra large restroom, and good fastfood. I would definitely stop here again. The dining area seemed smaller than average and it was not very crowded but seemed clean and relatively updated. I thought is was nicer than average fastfood places I find in small towns. read more

This was a quick meal stop en route to Vegas. Since Barstow is a small desert town, and we are recovering from a pandemic, I was unsure if this place was open. But to my pleasant surprise, it was indeed open. I hit up the drive-thru here, and was further surprised that the customer service rep recommended the exact sandwich that I intended to buy: the Santa Fe Chicken Sandwich. When I pulled up to the window, I asked if they had coffee, as the Starbucks nearby had closed an hour early. They told me yes, and I added a cup of coffee to my order. I parked in their lot, and ate my food. I downed the coffee, and hit the road again. I'm glad these folks were open when other businesses decided to shut down too early.
