The beef shawarma wrap was incredibly satisfying: juicy, well-seasoned, and loaded with warm, smoky spices. Each bite was rich, flavorful, and perfectly paired with the fresh toppings and creamy sauce. It's the kind of wrap that keeps you thinking about the next one before you're even done. The chicken kabob plate was equally impressive. The chicken was tender, beautifully grilled, and seasoned to perfection, with that irresistible light char and aromatic savoriness that makes kabob truly crave-worthy. The portions were generous, the presentation was clean, and every element on the plate came together for a savory, hearty, and satisfying meal. What really made the experience even better was the staff -- extremely friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Even though the restaurant looked a bit empty at the time, don't let that fool you -- they were efficient, well-organized, and surprisingly fast. You can tell they run a tight ship because the service was smooth, the food came out quickly, and everything was done with care. They're small-place efficient, big-restaurant sufficient. Great food, great people, and a great vibe. If you love savory, authentic Middle Eastern flavors with top-tier service, this spot is a must. Highly recommend -- can't wait to come back!

I believe it was the owner helping us today and he was so kind! We came in for my birthday and he brought me a rose and birthday balloons. It was so kind, and made me feel extra special! I would never expect anyone to go out of their way like that, it was very sweet. The food here is amazing! I would highly recommend the baba ghanouj and the chicken kebab! Everything was cooked perfectly and our plates were HUGE! We definitely took home leftovers! I would also recommend trying the beets and cabbage salad, both were delicious! It reminded me a lot of my grandmothers cooking. We definitely plan to come back and try out some more delicious options!

My family and I have already come back to this place after trying it for the first time. Now for the food: phenomenal! You get a hefty portion size. The presentation of my beef shawarma dish was very well done, it features beautiful colors with that bright Mediterranean glow of greens, yellows, reds, and even purples. Flavor of the food is so good and the whole dish is a journey that you want to complete. From the yummy hummus and pita bread, to the beautifully seasoned beef over yellow rice, moving to a light salad and pickles and top it off with a delicious lightly cooked tomato. It is an experience you want to have again. Sauces: I had dipped my beef in a red sauce that was provided that bursts with flavor and has a nice kick of heat, but it's not overpowering. I highly recommend trying it alongside your meal. Definitely support and keep supporting this business! I feel as though it is primarily treated as a to-go order place, which is fine, but if you ever get the chance, dine in. The service, food and whole experience is worth every bit of the price.

Tonight I met my cousin for dinner at Zena's, and honestly, ending up there was kind of a fluke. We…read moreoriginally picked a completely different restaurant, but she got there before me and realized it wasn't what we thought it was. So she pivoted and picked Zena's instead -- and thank goodness she did. Walking in, it's very unassuming. It's tucked into one of those little shopping plazas off Tustin Ave, and at first glance you really don't think much of it. When I arrived, the place was completely empty except for my cousin. They have a small patio and indoor seating, and the dining room is long in a way that makes it hard to realize how much space there actually is until you walk further in. Right away, the gentleman helping us was unbelievably kind, welcoming, and hospitable. It genuinely felt like showing up at your auntie's house where everyone is determined to feed you and make sure you're taken care of. That vibe carried through the entire meal. We started with the hummus with meat and a side of fresh veggies. The pita, cucumbers, and tomatoes came out so fast and tasted incredibly fresh. The hummus was honestly some of the best I've had -- super creamy, flavorful, and perfect with the veggies and pita. Then he brought out a salad and casually told us his grandma had just made it in the back and that the dressing was a secret recipe. It looked simple, but wow. You could taste the fresh lemon juice, cracked pepper, and how fresh all the vegetables were. One of those salads that sounds basic but somehow ends up being one of the most memorable things on the table. A few minutes later he brought out what he called the "falafel messy style," which was falafel topped with sauce and diced tomatoes. Also absolutely delicious. At that point we were already getting full before our actual entrées even arrived. My cousin ordered the shrimp skewer plate with rice and green beans, and I ordered the 3-skewer combination with chicken, beef, and lamb. Everything was cooked perfectly. The shrimp was so flavorful and well-seasoned, and my chicken, beef, and lamb were all juicy, tender, and clearly marinated really well. The roasted vegetables were amazing too. My only tiny complaint is that I wish I'd gotten more roasted tomatoes because they were so good. By the end of the meal we could barely finish anything because they had already spoiled us with so much food beforehand. Then he brought baklava to the table too, which was the perfect ending. During dinner he told us the restaurant is family owned and operated -- his dad was cooking in the kitchen, his grandma was back there making dishes, and they're opening another location in Temecula. Sitting there, all I could think was: why does this place not have a line out the door? Only one other party came in while we were there, and honestly it made me sad because this is the kind of place everyone should experience. The food was incredible, the atmosphere was warm and comfortable, and the hospitality was next level. Also worth mentioning: the bathroom was immaculately clean and smelled amazing. The whole restaurant was spotless, actually. It's accessible, easy to navigate, relaxed, and just an overall great environment. This place deserves to be packed. We'll absolutely be back.

We got the cauliflower to start, which is amazing. Perfectly fried, and tahini dip is so flavorful. We also asked for the garlic dip, which is so potent, but a must. We all got different entrees, and all the meats were cooked perfectly. Need to start coming back more often.

The soltani kabob was to die for; the flavors in the beef barg and koobideh were so rich and cooked to perfection. The mastery of these dishes was absolutely on display. The mast moosir was a great creamy and savory side dish to complement the entrees. I HAD to get the tahdig (crispy rice) too! I also had a bit of the lamb shank which was really flavorful, tender, and paired perfectly with the baghali polo. The yogurt soda was a bit of an acquired taste for me, but I'm happy to have tried it for the full experience. We finished off our delicious meal with a floral and sweet Persian ice cream wafer sandwich. The portions were enormous, so we left feeling full with leftovers to look forward to! We came on a lively weekday evening. They don't do reservations, but we were warmly greeted and quickly seated with lavash and butter on our table immediately. The restaurant has a beautiful and romantic atmosphere, with hybrid indoor/outdoor courtyard dining. Our waiter was attentive and made us feel very welcomed. I'd give this restaurant more than 5 stars if I could!
