Update as I ordered the Chicken Kabob today and it was cooked perfectly! Hit all the high notes: Tender, moist, flavorful, delicious with well- seasoned basmati rice. This rice had best flavor I've had at any Mediterranean restaurant. It complemented the chicken very well. A good portion of hummus and a salad was included along with a pita. I've had several items on their menu and this just happens to be my favorite. Wait was not long at all and pleasant service. BTW, this place looks very clean. It is fairly new, and it looks like they care about cleanliness.

I ordered the Beef Shawarma Wrap and the Chicken Kabob Plate, and both were outstanding -- delicious, savory, and packed with bold, authentic flavor. The beef shawarma wrap was incredibly satisfying: juicy, well-seasoned, and loaded with warm, smoky spices. Each bite was rich, flavorful, and perfectly paired with the fresh toppings and creamy sauce. It's the kind of wrap that keeps you thinking about the next one before you're even done. The chicken kabob plate was equally impressive. The chicken was tender, beautifully grilled, and seasoned to perfection, with that irresistible light char and aromatic savoriness that makes kabob truly crave-worthy. The portions were generous, the presentation was clean, and every element on the plate came together for a savory, hearty, and satisfying meal. What really made the experience even better was the staff -- extremely friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Even though the restaurant looked a bit empty at the time, don't let that fool you -- they were efficient, well-organized, and surprisingly fast. You can tell they run a tight ship because the service was smooth, the food came out quickly, and everything was done with care. They're small-place efficient, big-restaurant sufficient. Great food, great people, and a great vibe. If you love savory, authentic Middle Eastern flavors with top-tier service, this spot is a must. Highly recommend -- can't wait to come back!

Eh wasn't too impressed. I've eaten Mediterranean food pretty frequently so was surprised to see an option so close. * Note I believe this is an Egyptian style tea not Greek Mediterranean food which makes a difference. First order was about $30 which They messed and I had to go back. They asked if I wanted to come in another day but this was our dinner selection so no, I don't want to save dinner for another day. The meat was not tender and very overcooked. Had consistency of ground beef on a stick. The chicken was very hard and overcooked. Paid extra for garlic sauce and hummus which usually comes for free at other establishments. 2nd order was better but still Mid. Not anything special or flavorful. Salad was not good and it's hard to mess up a salad. Flavors were just all over the place. Decor was clean and colorful. May not be back.

Too expansive for the quality and quantity.

I left two previous reviews and somehow they got Yelp to remove them. The food at Don Kabob in Apple Valley is terrible. It tastes nothing like traditional Mediterranean food. The meat is over cooked and dry and everything is way too spicy. The humus is like runny mayo. We threw the food in the trash and went to Jersey Mikes.

Pro tip make a sandwich with cucumber, tahini, rice, meat, and hot sauce.

I've had it all down the hill because i live there with my armenian husband, and I know there's only a couple options out here which are all so so. I was pretty sad to miss out on that now that I'm spending more time here, but as if it was heaven sent, this place just opened nearby! I was not expecting anything too close to what we've tried down the hill (armenian, lebanese, egyptian, persian, afghan, uzbek etc you get it). But I ordered a large order to try basically everything and it was genuinely incredible! They season the hell out of everything. I could go into so much detail. Lebneh was nice and thick not watery. Beef samosa dipped in the tahini is a must. The family tray is as beautiful as an oscar's charcuterie tray. Desserts are very decadent maybe enjoy with some tea or coffee lol. Even the french fries held up decently in the plastic container after 10-30 mins. Baba Ganouj was nice and slightly smokey. We always enjoy beef more than chicken but this place makes them nearly as delicious as one another. cucumber had a nice crunch and wasn't dull. Like I said I could go on about the details! The online pickup estimate was way too soon lol, I knew it wasn't going to take 15 minutes for all that i ordered, so I came after 25 minutes or so and it took another 10 minutes because they had an unfortunate break in that day. Yet they still showed everyone up with the quality of their food only probably hours later lol. Will definitely be a regular customer!

This place is a complete rip off $13.00 for a small sauce & 5 tiny pieces of chicken

Tried Don Kabob for the first time. Got 3 meals. Everything was excellent. Rice is seasoned well and flavorful. Meats were tender and delicious. Definitely can't go wrong by giving this place your business. Also decided to get dessert. Don't usually care for baklava, as it's too sweet for me, but theirs was not sweet and had fresh nuts on top. Staff was welcoming and pleasant. We will be back again and again and again.... Keep up the good work!

The photo with the description is what it should look like. The other that looks like a burrito is what he got.

My husband went to The Don Kabob he's been wanting try it because he is Lebanese. He ordered the shawarma sandwich. Much to his surprise it was made with a flour tortilla. It was and looked like a burrito. Here is a pic of what he got and what it should have looked like. Needless to say he won't be going back. He makes homemade hummus at home and their hummus fell short too. Too bad...we were looking forward to this restaurant being good .

I order the chicken kabob plate. Rice, chicken and even the salad had to much salt or seasoning. The only thing I like was the hummus.

Nothing tasted reheated or dry -- everything came out hot and flavorful. The portions are solid and the flavors are on point. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and made sure everything was right. You can feel that they care about the food and the customers. If you're in Victorville and want fresh, flavorful Mediterranean food with great service, Don Kabob is definitely worth stopping by. I'll be back for sure.

We waited nearly 30 minutes for our food with no communication about the delay, and despite us sitting down intending to dine in, our food was handed to us packed to-go without asking. An employee came up and asked us to leave around 7:44 as he handed us our food, so they could start cleaning, while other customers were still sitting and eating without being told anything. The whole situation felt awkward and unprofessional, especially considering the amount of time and money we spent there that evening. We completely understand restaurants needing to close on time, but better communication and consistency with customers would've made the experience much more respectful.

UPDATE: Changed to 1 star. Idecided to call and see what…read morethe options would be for refund or to replace the order we took to-go. Same young man listened and said he "has to talk to the big boss" and could he give me a call in a few minutes. I waited about 5 minutes and he called back. He then said, "unfortunately the Manger in charge of refunds isn't in until tomorrow" (so, I guess the Big Boss can't issue refund or replacement) Now I have to wait for a call tomorrow to see IF they will do something for us. But the young man did, in a round about way blame the customer. "The lid was placed on it properly. We don't have control over when it leaves the building" I explained that the drive home shook the hummus off the baklava and the lid popped off, so it's our fault? He said, "I didn't say that. I'm saying there are a hundred different variables that could have cause this".... but none of them is the restaurants fault... Right? I'll have another update tomorrow when/IF I get a call. Hubby & I went here for lunch today. When we walked in we were greeted by a young man. He said we could sit anywhere we'd like and he'd be right over with menus. There was one table with patrons. We waited maybe 5 minutes and finally a young lady from the back asked if we had menus yet. No. So SHE brought us menus. Then the young man came by, friendly and politely although not very punctual said "what can I get you to drink?" Easy order. Iced tea and a Diet Coke. We ordered our lunches at that time because it was a long while before he finally came over. I got my pita, hummus and salad from the lady in the kitchen BEFORE our drinks. Waited. Waited. Waited. Hubby finally flagged him over and said, "Can we get our drinks now?" "Oh yeah. Ill be right back with those" He ended up serving the only other table their food before finally coming back with our drinks. I was already irritated. Maybe a little hangry. But, at that point I was over it. We never got a check. Walked to the register and told him we were done. We did take baklava and hummus to go. 2 lunches, 2 drinks, baklava and hummus. $80??? We finally got the hummus and baklava home. The young man apparently stacked the hummus on top of the baklava. During the drive, it must have slid off the baklava and all the oil and hummus leaked out of the container and all over the baklava and bag. Hubby was so disappointed, he threw the whole thing away. So, I guess, 2 lunches and some oily trash for $80 and HORRIBLE customer service. Giving 2 stars because what we DID actually eat was good. I wish I would have gotten the garlic paste the young man said he'd bring me. And wish we would have gotten to try the baklava we spent $27 on. Horrible experience. Won't be going back.
