    Chicken schawarma pita
    Mel Y.

3.5: Decent takeout food in a no frills environment We arrived on a Monday evening 2 hours before their normal hour of closing to be told that they were only doing takeout. There were a few customers already sitting and eating so at first was taken aback but upon further probing they said they were closing an hour early. We enjoyed the food generally (chicken shawarma pita, vegetarian platter though the beef kebab was a bit dry and chewy) and it survived the trip back home well. The pita bread was wrapped in a plastic that showed where it was purchased; it was good but not homemade on premises. They sell other various pita wraps and platters, around $13 and $25 respectively. They also have some ethnic drinks and Dubai chocolate off to the side. Takeout was probably a good option as the actual ambiance was dated and not that comfortable... not a place to linger. They have a parking lot.

Dubai Chocolate Bar--a legit treat. I took 2 bars home with me--no regrets.

Spectacular. First run, I did the lamb gyro platter. Every item was delicious: the shawarma, the rice, the wam pita, mediterranean salad and the yellow rice. Their tzatziki was perfect. I think their secret is adding fine diced cucumber and mint really elevates the sauce. My wife had the sandwich version and devoured it. Service was friendly and fast. I visit Joshua Tree frequently, this place is on my must revisit list. Eat here.

Found this place when searching for vegetarian food when visiting Joshua. This was the only Mediterranean joint we could find and it had good reviews. The place was quiet with enough seating. We were a group of 8 and could find a table immediately for lunch. There were all the usual menu options, nothing that was out of ordinary. Most of us ordered the falafel sandwich. Order came in fast. Falafels were fresh and the size of sandwich was good as well.

Stopped by here on our first night in Joshua Tree and was pleasantly surprised! We are big Mediterranean food fans and thoroughly enjoyed our $49 meal for 2! For the price, the portions are large and enough for seconds. The service is a bit slow but the staff are really nice. It is pretty humid inside the restaurant and seemed like take out was very popular. We really liked the rice and all the kabobs. Would recommend if you're looking for food that tastes home cooked and authentic!

Stopped in to Yucca Kabob for a late lunch. While this restaurant is not much to look at from the outside, the flavors are incredible and worth a stop. We were the only ones in the restaurant at first but that changed quickly after we ordered. We ordered the grape leaves appetizer, I had the Kofta Kabob wrap, and my fiancé had the beef kabob entree. Amazing grape leaves! We could have eaten another round of them. My wrap was delicious and very filling. The Beef Kabob entree was cooked and seasoned perfectly and the rice was out of this world. We should have eaten here for every meal during our trip!

Grateful to have this restaurant in the area! Great option given the many restaurants with burgers and fries in the vicinity. The portions are huge! I got the vegetarian entree which consisted of falafels, rice, hummus, salad, grape leaves, and pita bread. Also got the lemon lentil soup which was delicious as well. Service was courteous and quick. Easy parking in a lot.

Got an order of chicken shawarma plate and fries and brought it to picnic in Joshua tree - so good! Fries are well seasoned, the plate had lots of flavor and well balanced for all the food groups. The only caveat is the chicken was a little dry but the sauce made up for it. Absolutely would come here again if in the area.

Literally the BEST middle eastern food out there. Unexpectedly amazing. I came with a group on ladies, we ordered the baba ganoush, egg omelette, fries, feta toast and wrap and OMG everything is delicious. Highly highly recommend coming here for your dinner. Parking is easy lot parking, bathrooms are available. Servers are nice. Food is excellent.

My family and I have already come back to this place after trying it for the first time. Now for the food: phenomenal! You get a hefty portion size. The presentation of my beef shawarma dish was very well done, it features beautiful colors with that bright Mediterranean glow of greens, yellows, reds, and even purples. Flavor of the food is so good and the whole dish is a journey that you want to complete. From the yummy hummus and pita bread, to the beautifully seasoned beef over yellow rice, moving to a light salad and pickles and top it off with a delicious lightly cooked tomato. It is an experience you want to have again. Sauces: I had dipped my beef in a red sauce that was provided that bursts with flavor and has a nice kick of heat, but it's not overpowering. I highly recommend trying it alongside your meal. Definitely support and keep supporting this business! I feel as though it is primarily treated as a to-go order place, which is fine, but if you ever get the chance, dine in. The service, food and whole experience is worth every bit of the price.

Upon entering we were immediately greeted by a nice man that I am assuming is the owner that other Yelp reviews have raved about. He helped us quickly at their food counter at the back (did I mention they are also a specialty foods market?) and we ordered two meals and an appetizer. We grabbed drinks from the cooler and sat at the table in the front. Our grape leaves came out first. Accompanied by chopped lettuce garnish and sliced tomatoes and oranges, they were tasty and delicious! Our food came out and we dug in to a gyro plate and a beef shawarma plate. Both came with a salad, pita and a choice of dip (we chose hummus). The portions were generous, the seasoning was mouth watering, and the presentation gorgeous! We could have easily also shared a plate, but we will always want more than one thing so it just means more chances to try new dishes! Their prices are very reasonable for extremely high quality fresh healthy food! We will be back for sure, and I also notice they deliver through DoorDash and Grub Hub. Thank you El Basha - we are your new biggest fans! At the end of our meal they gave us a beautiful baklava dessert!! You have to come here!

The mussels are normally cooked with some kind of pork, which I don't eat, but when I asked if it was possible to get it without pork, they said they could definitely do that, which is never expected but definitely always appreciated! The lamb chops were delicious and cooked to perfection. They came on a bed of some sort of salad, with some aioli and mint jelly. Personally the salad and jelly didn't work for me but my husband's short rib (which was also cooked perfectly) came on a bed of cauliflower puree which was so delicious that I ate half. On night two, I ordered the lamb chops again but requested they be served with the cauliflower puree, and they happily obliged. My husband got branzino, which he thought was good but I thought it was great, and I usually don't care for it. Pro tip: They offer a $15 corkage fee but I think you may have to ask when you make a reservation and they also have a $15 coupon (business card) at the front desk. The service was great, both of our waitresses were perfectly attentive and the bussers were on point. This is now one of my favorite restaurants in the area and we plan to come back every time we are in town.
