BBQ burger with homemade chips and a big salad (like a Cobb)

Staff super friendly and helpful, the food was good we got a BBQ burger and salad. Burger was overcooked making it a bit dry but it was tasty meat and the bacon was perfect, smoky abd crispy/chewy, and the homemade chips were awesome!

We drove past the restaurant on our way to Joshua Tree for a little hike and once we saw the name we knew where we would be having lunch on our way back! What a great name-especially if you're as old as we are, lol. We stopped in, greeted and told to sit anywhere. The restaurant is small and super cute. Very clean and inviting. Our server came over for our drink order and gave us a minute to look at the menu. We all picked something different for lunch. I had the Italian grinder with potato salad- one of the best potato salads ever! It was so good and so big I couldn't finish it! My friends had a burger with potato salad and a black bean burger, he said the guacamole on that black bean burger was amazing, he had the homemade potato chips. At the end of our lunch the owner came out and chatted with us for quite a while. We loved him and his restaurant! I don't live in California but if I lived in the area this would for sure be a regular spot for me!

When to Just a Small Town Grill, today with my wife and daughter for lunch. I was amazingly surprised at the quality and quantity of the food. We started off with deep fried pickles they were amazing ! My daughter had the Antipasto Salad it was huge ! My wife had the Hawaiian Burger she couldn't stop saying how delicious it was. I had IPA with the Italian Grinder it was packed with meat and the feta vinaigrette added a great taste and the role was a specialty role they have wow ! We met Jim and Stacy the owners they are very welcoming and they gave us an order of Cauliflower Bites and they were delicious ! The feel of the place is truly inviting! Thank you Jim, Stacy and Vanessa for the great meal and service !

Love the pizza take out at Just A Small Town Grill in Morongo Valley but their dine in breakfast is over the top! After oozing over their menu for 5+ minutes I finally decided between 6 or 7 possibles. We'll be back to try the others! Breakfast service was efficient if not quite as down home friendly as the evening, pizza crew we're regularly spoiled by & it took a little while to get the breakfast but it was almost "too beautiful to eat" & was absolutely outstanding in all respects. You can't find fresher, better prepared & better presented food in the high desert. I'd love to see motorcycle & bicycle parking & outdoor seating.

This is the Konrad pizza and it was amazing!!!

This was my first time visiting Just a Small Town Grill and it was absolutely amazing from start to finish! What a gem!! The food was incredible--packed with flavor and clearly made with care. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, and the whole place had a warm, inviting vibe. The restaurant was spotless, and you could really feel the sense of community. The owner was walking around chatting with guests, and it was clear there were a lot of regulars--always a good sign! It honestly felt like home. I highly recommend this place--definitely a 10/10. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

It was our last day in Palm Springs and we wanted some good food . Something we found that was hard to find while in Palm Springs. There's plenty of parking front of the restaurant, there's air conditioning inside and helpful staff. We felt welcomed and our waitress went above and beyond. Ordered a cauliflower veggie pizza. Everything was fresh and made to order. I had a bite of the potato salad. My ice tea was refilled, I couldn't of had a better experience. Thank you for taking care of us!

My husband bought some merch. He's so proud of his Just a Small town Grill T-shirt.

Pastas and plates abound. There are vegan options that aren't just door prizes and clearly marked on the menu. The grilled cauliflower with romesco was a flavor bomb and the Ratatouille pasta combined the traditional Ratatouille flavors rounded out with a hearty rigatoni to satisfy and leave you full. An inventive cocktail menu and decent wines as well as beers on tap if you are so inclined round out the offerings. If you are vegetarian, just be sure to let the server know as the fried items are fried in beef tallow but they will bake them for you if requested.

But we were recently saddened to find out that they've switched to frying in beef tallow for heath reasons. So all those dishes that were naturally vegetarian (zucchini, artichokes, cheese pillows, fries/chips etc) are now all dripping in meat fat. This whole recent "beef tallow is healthier than seed oil" myth is just the latest nonsense from RFK/MAHA. Debunked YouTube pseudo science. All reputable medical findings clearly show that animal fat is high in saturated fat which is linked to cardiovascular disease. I wasn't very impressed food wise though relative to the cost. We ordered a Pepperoni ($19) and Hey Boo Boo ($22) pizza and some cheesy bread for an appetizer. They were fine. We all enjoyed them, but wouldn't crave the pizza here more than at other locations that offer more value. What did make this place standout though was the fun decor and opportunities for play! We had a fun time playing street fighter on their video game console and an even better time playing on their shuffle board. All in all, I would definitely come back for the vibe, and would love to check out a live event.
