It's such a bummer when I experience inconsistent service at a franchise where I expect what I've always experienced...consistency. This particular visit wasn't so good. The issue on this visit was the ICE COLD/Frozen chicken they added to the Asian Salad. It was not edible because it was solid ice. I did see a few orders get returned while I waited to get my order re-made. Maybe just a small glitch and it's certainly forgivable. I'll probably return as Panera is easy and offers relatively healthy options. read more

This Panera location is full of amazing staff! As a mother I'm either carrying a car seat carrier or just a baby on the hip and every single time they have been so helpful. From offering me a bag with a handle for just one bag to offering help out when I had a heavier load. And today took the cake, there was a spider I did not see on my daughter's carrier, and the woman behind the counter came around and killed it before it webbed down on her! I came here the other day as I was passing through on my way back to Chicago. The food is as to be expected from any Panera. However, this location has an amazing staff. They are extremely friendly, patient, and helpful. Our food was brought in swift manner and with a smile. One of my favorite Panera spots. There's a Quizno's next door, and I don't even see the point of giving it the two star review, but I probably will in the end. I like this Panera because it has the long row of tables with the booth on one side, and it seems like I'm always with a crowd when we eat here. There's a little semi-private room too. They always put exactly the right amount of raspberry dressing on my fandango salad, which is my main complaint of most others. read more

I probably come to this Panera 3-4 times a week! 99% of the time, my order is correct! The couple of times my order has not been what I asked for, the manager has always been very apologetic and polite, which I've really appreciated. Parking is terrible and service is awful went today for soup for the wife had to wait of half hour as other people's order were being served before my order was ready. I have always had a very positive experience at other Panera locations, but this is by far the worst Panera I have ever experienced. I have ordered from the location on three different occasions. Twice, the grilled chicken on my salad was still partially frozen. Tonight, my grilled cheese wasn't even grilled. It was essentially a slightly warm cheese sandwich on stale bread. Terrible experience today. My husband & I stopped in for a quick bite but that never happened. After we ordered we went and sat down. After waiting 15 min my husband went up to see what the delay was and they said they still needed to make the tomato compote. Seriously!!!!! I said plZ just put sliced tomato but we still waited 10 more minutes and when it finally came they did have sliced tomato on it. They also gave me bread after I ordered chips. This location seems to be going downhill. Rapid pickup order was not ready on time. After finally receiving order, a quick check in car revealed no bread bowl for soup as ordered. Returned to wait in line & then was told "We're out of bread bowls. We can give you extra bread if you want." No notation on bag of shortage on order& no notification by email or verbally. No apology or price adjustment. Also, turkey on sandwiches was little pieces instead of sliced. For the prices you pay at Panera, service & product not acceptable. read more

My first time in here. My experience was absolutely bad. The price of this place, for one, is outrageous even for "Healthy" food. I went to their website and it states 100% blah blah blah healthy blah blah. This was overplayed. I ordered the Chicken Tortellini Alfredo. I asked if it's fresh chicken. It was "fresh". Canned jelly chicken. They shoved tortellini in a bowl with canned chicken and barely warmed it. Threw it to a server and served it. This does not look like fast food. When I order and I walk over to fill my cup up and the waiter is already looking for my number, that concerns me. That's what McDonald's does. That's Quick-Prep food that takes 2 minutes to make. The chicken was ungodly salty, the tortellini was rough and the bread was rock hard, like it's been sitting out for days! I spent $12+ for a small bowl of nasty noodles, and a rock. Let me start off by saying, honey, this review was initially poised to be a poor one. I walked out of the establishment with my breakfast sandwhich in tow, hunger leaping from my chest and bit into a piece of paper that had been cooked into the cheese... not a delightful ingredient. I called promptly and addressed my issues and returned to get a new sandwhich, full refund and a free treat of my choice. I doubt that this type of carelessness typifies this establishment, but I think its a noteworthy jump off point that demonstrates one thing: they aim to please, even if the first go around didn't bring a smile to your lips. For that reason (and that reason alone) I would eat here again, though I would check my order before leaving. read more

Everyone is friendly, and service is quick. I prefer ordering on line so I can take my time customizing my sandwich. Order taker (an associate trainer) was so fast I forgot to change the bread. This location is not one of their best in terms of customer service (certain employees) and cleanliness. I was very disappointed during my last visit here. I was on my lunch break from work and decided to place my order via rapid pick up online to save some time (or so I thought). Instead of saving time, I ended up wasting more time from my lunch break. I would've been better off placing my order in person. Why even offer this service in the first place? When I got there, it turns out my order hadn't even gone through. Of course, I wasn't very happy, but a tall gentleman (possibly one of the managers) kindly offered me to wait while he directed the employees to make my order right away. I was very grateful to him, but then a female manager comes up to me and demands me to place my order multiple times after I had explained to her that I had done that and the system kept telling me to choose a different time. Mind you, I had already paid via Apple Pay...very confusing system. She made me do this 3 times! I was very offended because she basically went over what the previous manager had ordered and she didn't take my word until she saw for herself that I was right. I could've argued this, but I am not one to make a scene. Next time, keep your word to your customers and take my word instead of accusing me of lying. Moreover, I'm almost sure that one of her colleagues bumped into me on purpose. Terrible attitude to have toward customers, especially because I am a passive person. read more

Ordered carryout from here a few weeks ago and the order was not only incorrect, but the sandwiches barely had anything on them. Out running errands this afternoon and stopped in, thinking maybe dine-in is a better experience. Been waiting over 20 minutes for PB&J and soup. Other customers have been here over 30 minutes with no food. Cashier should caution customers that they are extremely backed up, prior to ordering. read more

Food is typical Panera. Love the Sierra Turkey sandwich. But this location tends to be slow & dirty/gross around lunchtime 11am to 3pm.

I don't understand how this Panera location stays in business. If you arrive after 7:30AM you will likely have no choice of bagel. They run out of most varieties very early on in the day. The only thing they are good at is coming up with new excuses for not having bagels. Some I have heard are: Our bakers worked all night and that's all we could bake It's been areal busy day. Everyday people want different bagels We had a lot of big orders early today There is no school It's a weekend We ran out of ingredients You should have phoned ahead with an order I have spoken to the manager on duty several times but see no improvement in the bagel selection I feel sorry for the people who work here and can't provide what the customers want read more

Great place to stop in to pick up a very good bowl of soup and a delicious sandwich. Their staff keeps the line moving along quickly even during the busy lunch rush. I ordered online for rapid pickup on 9/10. Chicken tortilla soup in a bread bowl (for which I paid extra), 1/2 sandwich with extra lettuce, mayo, cucumber, & a baguette. Since I wasn't feeling well, my son went to pick it up for me. I ordered at 7pm. They were out of 2 different soups (3 hours before closing???), so I ended up with chili, not really an optimal choice for someone with a sore throat, but whatever, my husband ate it. He gets home and there's no bread bowl, 1 meager slice of lettuce, and 1 cucumber slice. I try calling and the phone just rang. Nobody answered and no voicemail, so I sent an email to Panera. I did receive a response from someone at corporate, who assured me that someone from the store would be contacting me to resolve the issue. 11 days after the original visit and still no response. This isn't my first "less than stellar" experience at this particular location. The last time I was there, the workers were rude and blatantly lied to us about a "special" they were running. I will be going to the new location on Randall in the future. read more

Waited in line for 15 minutes while the cashier and the one guy in front of me was flirting with the employee while ordering a simple sandwhich and drink. When I finally was able to place my order (which took me less than 30 seconds I might add) I waited another 10 minites for no one to even start making it. I got so fed up I left letting them keep my $15. I could not "donate" anymore of my time to this "pick up joint" since I had to actually get to work. I will be placing a call to corporate. Don't know how this location compares to other locations, but the service here is top notch. always plenty of cashiers to keep the lines moving fast, always managers nearby in case there is an issue. This location has become ridiculously stingy with their servings relative to the price. I just returned home with 2 bowls of soup (nothing wrong there) but how they call the less than 2" heel of bread a "side" is beyond me. They also threw in a hamburger bun....why I don't know, I guess its supposed to make up for the scrap of bread. It is nothing new and we've called the store manager about issues before to no avail or improvement. Panera serves great soups and salads (and,of course, bread) anywhere, but this location is especially nice in that the staff is super-friendly and efficient and the atmosphere is great. I'm a writer and sometimes work at this Panera during the day. It's comfortable and several seats have accessible electrical outlets--something very much lacking in many places that offer free WiFi. Love the flexibility of grabbing a table, sitting on a comfy couch by the fireplace or sitting outdoors depending on the weather and what I'm working on. read more

I passed up Starbucks for this? On my way home from Chicago I needed some coffee. I also love oatmeal cookies. There were no oatmeal cookies, but the attendant said the gluten-free cookie was better anyway. It was a delicious compromise. I ordered my coffee, cookie and paid. Since it was around 2:30pm I opted for decaf. No decaf. Not wanting to make it a big deal, I chose the light blend instead. Enough to barely fill the bottom of my cup (maybe a quarter inch.) Therefore; I continued on to the next option (accepting the fact I would not sleep tonight) and continued to fill my cup with the one remaining choice, Hazelnut. The cream flask was empty, the skim milk flask was empty and there were no paper packets. Unsatisfied overall, I added a packet of sugar and headed for the door. Having paid for this poor quality of service I quickly surmised "this isn't right." Not like it was rush hour or something. I mean the place was literally almost empty. I returned to the counter to ask if there was another coffee bar in the restaurant, answer: No. I also inquired about all the set backs I experienced. Still not quite sure how to interpret the lame responses. Most satisfactory, I could wait 5-10 minutes for a ready made freshly brewed cup of coffee. What!? Panera isn't a 'ho-hum' corporate business chain; and therefore, this was unacceptable. As consumers, we need to be more proactive. Bravo to the lady in front of me who canceled her coffee order upon over hearing my dilemma. America needs to reform the work ethic by re-establishing its value.
