I got breakfast here one time, was fine nothing to complain about. me and my bride wanted specifically Panera a few months later for this amazing pick 2 deal. Drove 20 minutes just to be told they didn't have any any chicken for my pizza.I was okay with that. Then I thought I'll just get some mac and cheese. And guess what? THEY DIDNT HAVE THAT EITHER. So we went to chick Fila instead. But today we went and I thought, it can't be that bad this time ill give them another chance. I got the bbq chicken sandwich and the french onion soup and ate inside. The 25 minute wait for my cold soup and bread was amazing. my sandwich looked like something I'd make drunk at 2 AM. and of course there was no condiments to be seen so I had to ask the kitchen directly for some measly salt and butter. I hate Panera never coming again. read more

We just got coffee..it's awful. Good thing I have some at home to make. It takes like old plastic. Maybe we got yesterdays coffee. It was the dark roast. Horrible. Usually Panera coffee is pretty good. read more

Stopped here during a road trip because they generally have gluten free options (their new grain bowls, by the way, pretty darn tasty for as healthy as they are). The young lady who took our order was perhaps one of the nicest, most pleasant cashiers I've ever ordered from. Like, she exhuded unbelievable warmth. Speaking of warmth, there was a nice little fireplace inside and a lovely outdoor patio too; one of the nicer Paneras I've been to. They were also very conscious of my celiacs and made a note to the chef before preparing my meal. I really appreciate that kind of attentiveness. Bravo. read more

spent $35 at panera and we didn't get all of our order... we ordered half a sandwich, 2 cups of soup and a full sandwich. by the time we got home, we realized the full sandwich wasn't even in the bag! last couple of visits have been very disappointing. read more

We love coming in here to hang out before our band rehearsal every week. The staff are super friendly and the food is great. The $0.99 pastries with drink and entree are an awesome deal. There are plugs for us to work in parts of the restaurant, and in colder weather, they have the gas fireplace on. The one drawback is that we are always freezing in there! We always bring our sweaters, even when it's 95 degrees outside. Today it is a beautiful 80 degrees out or so, but about 67 degrees inside! It also just seems like a waste of energy to keep it so cold. read more

I went through the drive through at 8:30AM. I really wish they would get their act together. They were out of all Soufflés. I really like the Spinach and Artichoke Soufflé. But it was not to be and then I had to wait 10 minutes to get through the drive through, what a waste of time. read more

If you want your food hot, don't bother coming here. My sandwich was practically frozen in the middle. Ew, why?

I was surprised at how good everything was. We went on Saturday around noon and there were a lot of people there. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I was very impressed. I had the 'You Pick 2' combination, the Frontega Chicken Panini and the Chicken Soba Noodle Salad. So delicious! The Asiago Bagel with Chive and Onion Cream Cheese was also really yummy. We also got a Cobblestone Pastry. Everything was wonderful and I will be back. I can see myself craving the Soba Noodle Salad. Great place to stop in and grab lunch - big (salad or sandwich) or small (bagel and cream cheese) and some nice desserts too. One thing to be aware of is it's not cheap. I thought it was worth it though! read more

I AM PISSED THAT THERE IS CHICKEN BROTH IN YOUR BROCCOLI CHEDDAR SOUP. There is no reason for that.. us vegetarians have a hard time as it is and to have you use a meat byproduct in something that clearly doesn't tend it is ridiculous! read more

Workers are great! Awful management. Multiple times I've been in the dining area, enjoying a meal, when the store manager and others are sitting in the cafe, plainly speaking ill of the employees with no regard to whether customers can hear. It's disgusting, shameful, and least of all unprofressional. I've heard many stories like mine. Some customers were so turned off, they didn't come back. I can't even imagine how the workers feel. I will never go there again, and urge you to do the same until the store management has been replaced. read more

Ordered a breakfast sandwich this morning and it legit looked like it had been sitting out for 3 days. Hard crusty and gross. Just recently moved here and this is the worst Panera I've been too. The service was very slow as well. read more

First time ordering food from this place. Gross! If I would have ordered in I'd tell them to cook the chicken better and have non hard as a rock cruton in my salad. Instead I ordered threw the drive through got home took two bites and threw it away. What a waist! Why do all the chain restaurants in Auburn suck!? Don't waist your money here people! read more

AVOID AVOID AVOID I don't know how this Panera stays in business and I really miss La Bou in town. We ordered sandwiches, salad, and soup. The "grilled cheese" was stale bread w American cheese and thrown in the microwave to melt. Our salads? Should have just bought a bag a lettuce myself. No toppings...just wilted lettuce thrown in w stale croutons. Maybe try Sourdough & Co but don't waste your money here read more

Love the food.. usually go to Rocklin location and have never had a problem. They had my order and my friends order wrong. The woman standing by the order counter acted like I put her out. They did it again and no tomatoes.. I asked about that and she again looked at me like I was troubling her. She ths guy behind the counter throw a handful of tomatoes on my salad and just shoved it in my direction. No sorry about that, nothing...I won't go back to the Auburn location. Two stars only because I like the food. read more

Excited about a quality place coming to Auburn. Faced the lunch rush today. Got up to the counter. 1/2 way through my order when a manager came up to my server, interrupted her away from taking my order as if I wasn't even there and proceeded to talk to her about some administrative issue. I departed just as quickly as we were so rudely interrupted. Ho hum!!! Just another Auburn waste of space that has no concept of the term CUSTOMER SERVICE read more

Went through the drive through and ordered 3 things (one being Mac and cheese for my friends child) they didn't give me the Mac. Seeing how this isn't the 1st, 2nd OR 3rd time this has occurred here... We Called and asked to speak to the manager. the employee who answered didn't say sure, please hold... or anything remotely professional. His answer was UH YEA and put the phone down. The manager(Amanda) took a while to get to the phone and once she did get to the phone she was completely useless. All she said was if you come back, we will give it to you or give you a refund. Uhm what? I'm from Chicago and let me tell you when this happens there-they comp the bill, completely refund you over the phone AND give you a gift card. The manager wasn't helpful at all and was clearly annoyed that we were displeased because her attitude sucked just as much as her employees work ethic. I won't be back and I don't recommend going here.. but if you do.. DON'T PULL AWAY WITHOUT CHECKING. read more

I am giving the food one star and the staff and atmosphere five stars, rounding the total experience to three stars. I've never been to Panera for some reason so we decided to give it a try for a quick lunch. However, as nice as the staff was and as fast as my food arrived, I don't think this chain offers quality food for the price. Weirdly enough, it has NO SMELL of baking bread or food cooking so I'm guessing everything is shrink-wrapped from HQ and thawed out. I had the pick two deal (choose two: 1/2 sandwich, salad, or soup) and had the turkey BLT with avocado and the fuji apple salad w/ chicken. I added a lemonade and chose a pastry for 99 cents as part of their meal deals this month. The total was $15 for my meal. The front of the restaurant has a bread/pastry section and a menu of lunch and dinner items in the soup, salad, and sandwich realm. You order at the front and pick up by the kitchen,, with self-serve drink area and seating. The restaurant is clean and appealing with tables/chair combos, booth seating, and an outdoor patio. The young lady who took our order was polite and helpful. The food arrived promptly and was attractively plated. The 1/2 salad had romaine lettuce and blue cheese, two anemic tomato slices, three rings of dried-out purple onion, pecans, and tiny bits of cold pre-roasted meat resembling chicken, and an opaque white dressing that had no discernible flavor other than vinegar. The pecans were the winner here, about the only thing that tasted "real." The sandwich was a cold, truculent piece of rehydrated turkey studded with pre-cooked cold bacon or "facon" - not sure- with a minuscule section of an avocado, on flabby white sandwich bread. A smear of mayo, shreds of green lettuce, and a thin tomato slice accompanied the meat. After grimly enduring my meal, I can say that the lemonade was good. I declined to taste the pastry. As nice as the environment of the restaurant is, and no matter how good the service, this dreadful excuse for food that Panera trundles out will refer those who value flavor, quality, and value to their soon-to-opened next door neighbor, Chipotle. I've had better and far cheaper meals in a convenience store. read more

Not very good. Sandwich was made hours before I got it, and the smoothie was not good. I was going to go to McDonalds for a quick burger and smoothie, but thought I would try Panera since it was next to it, and I thought it might be more healthy. Not sure if it was healthier but it sure was not as good tasting. I actually stopped at McD's and got a value meal afterward. Panera was too expensive and too little food with no taste to it. read more

Two days in a row I had lunch at the new Panera in Auburn, I had the Thai Chicken salad one day and the Greek with Chicken salad on the second day, they were very tasty and very fresh, the monster cookies are devine! The only problem I had was on my second visit April 20th when I went into the ladies room to wash my hands, a Panera employee walked out of a bathroom stall and walked out and back to her job. She didn't wash her hands, and this is a real problem...a health issue for sure. I have a good friend who almost died years ago because the cook used the bathroom and didn't wash his hands afterwards, I've had food poisoning due to the same issue, and this makes me wonder if I'll go back. All I'll say about the young woman was she had a overly bleached ponytail tucked under her hat, she looked right at me and walked out. The manager needs to have a stern talk about the importance of washing your hands and often when working with food, more training needs to be done. That being said, I found the staff in the front where you place your orders to be very polite and helpful/friendly. read more

Average and overpriced. That's the problem with this franchise. My first time to this location , no need to return. This Auburn local will not support this franchise! read more

Slowest drive thru EVER. Doesn't matter if you're the only car or not. And they will ask you to repeat your order at some point. They are so slow I had to stop going. I waited 10 mins in drive thru once and I was the only car. All I ordered was a cappuccino and an oatmeal. read more

Worst Panera location ever! The manager should go shadow other stores to see what works. Maybe if the young ladies running the drive through put as much effort into their jobs as they do their wannabe Instagram model makeup and matching snotty attitudes, this would be a better location with better food and customer service. Maybe stick to posing pretty because your customer interaction is ZERO and you forgot our order multiple times. 20 minutes in the drive thru with no other cars and still had missing item. Natomas is a great location that puts effort into the food quality, accuracy, presentation and customer service. Potentially a great training location? read more

How hard is it to turn the lights off for your drive through menu when you're closed? Checked online to see if it was closed, and it was so I went to leave the drive through and an employee gives me a dirty look! Menu lit up= Open. Foods overpriced. Gotten my order wrong multiple times. Won't be going back. read more

Ordered online for rapid pickup. They didn't have the sourdough bread we paid for, so they just didn't include it in our order. What the?! When we called, they said they meant to talk to us when we picked it up about the missing bread, but we left too quickly (it is called "rapid pickup"). Check your order before you leave! Also ordered an Italian sandwich. There was so little meat on it, when we called about the missing bread, we also asked how much meat was supposed to be there. 1-1/2 to 2 ounces per sandwich half. There were several strong tasting pieces of salami on it, and one very thin deli-slice piece of ham that didn't even cover the whole sandwich. Sorry, but that's not a sandwich. Picture online showed a much more substantial sandwich than what we got. Very disappointing, especially for $9. Save your money and go to Mr Pickles. read more

The service here is consistently slow, short staffed at the counter, food orders are wrong or entirely missing items. The food is good... when it is right, which is rare. The staff all seem perpetually confused. I would highly recommend against this location. read more

Amazing selection of high quality food. We had sandwich and soup combinations that were very good and the staff was helpful and friendly. We felt it was a very good value, particularly given the unique ingredients. The new Auburn restaurant is nicely decorated and comfortable, too. Good as always! Nice surprise I ordered half a cup & sandwich they gave me a bowl and full sandwich! Yum!

10AM on a Sunday morning. I'm the only car in the drive through- literally for 20 minutes while I wait for two sausage breakfast sandwiches, over easy on ciabatta. I also ordered a cherry danish and an iced tea. Seriously, 20 minutes go by and some young guy comes to the window with my bag of food apologizing for the wait. I took my bag on food and thought to myself, at least it'll be fresh. Went to work and gave one of the sandwiches to a coworker. The sausage patty was so over cooked it looked and tasted like it had been on a microwave for 20 minutes. I immediately knew that's what took so long in the drive through- they were microwaving it for 20 minutes. It all became painfully clear why the hold up in the drive through window. This was so bad it had to be done on purpose. NOBODY is that stupid. Against my better judgement, I gave this place another try today/ all I wanted was a bagel with cream cheese. How could they screw that up? After having some RUDE Hispanic girl wait on me at the window I tried to call the store and let the manager know the window slamming was not appreciated. The phone must have rang 30 times before Lindsay picked it up. I got the usual deer in the headlights response. Whatever... I made a comment about how long it took to answer the phone. I get to work and realize my order is screwed up and try to call back. 30 rings later- I thought I just mentioned this to the manager and it's happening again? Still no answer?!? Well Lindsay, you just earned a bad yelp review for that stunt. Are you sure you're the manager there? You sure don't act like it. read more

Jenna is my favorite worker. I witnessed her perform American Sign Language on a deaf customer only to help another customer in the same line order their food by translating the menu items from English to Spanish. I tried Panera yesterday for lunch. I have heard mixed reviews about this location, one of my friends had said that they messed up her order 3 times, so I was a little skeptical to try. I have been to Panera before, but it was a different location. I noticed it was super busy, which is a good sign for a brand new place in a small town. I ordered the pick 2 for lunch, the soba noodle salad and a turkey sandwich. I was alarmed when my bill came to $12.00! It may not seem much to some people, but for me....that is a lot of money to drop on a "quick" lunch. I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of food I received though, I didn't even eat my sandwich I saved it for dinner. So in reality, a 12 dollar lunch turned into a 6 dollar lunch and 6 dollar dinner. The food is O-K. Nothing to rave about, but satisfying. I noticed that the manager was at the window where people pick up their food, and checking orders--so I'm thinking that they are really trying to get everyone's order correct! read more

First time here and the staff was very nice and helpful. The creamy tomato soup was amazing and the chicken Caesar salad. The jalapeño bagel with cream cheese was delicious. First day open was horrible.. Feel bad for the staff. Hope they send in a more experienced manager because this is Auburn and Auburn people love to complain. Good luck getting out of that drive in a reasonable time. The stars are for the staff there!! They are super. Oh one suggestion please don't advertise a food item with a full slice of avocado then give me four little minced pieces. I also think tomatoes are not fresh at all. read more

Every time I come here there's a long line. Today there were no pagers to use. Sad. Short staffed is typically the reason....

Today like any other I come on my 30 minute lunch. Unfortunately I spent 20 minutes of my lunch in the drive through. It wouldn't even take me 15 minutes to go into a grocery store and buy all the ingredients to make a salad. Not sure what took so long and I don't even really care. Just more disappointed that not one staff member acknowledge how the wait time was inconvenient. Sometimes a little "sorry about your wait"goes a long way with the customer. I'll be going back only because I like the food and they are the only one in the area. I'll have to remind them to take my number because the last two times I didn't get any reward points. read more
