It really hit the spot after having some trouble finding a veggie-based restaurant in the area. The service was friendly and they have quite a bit of outside seating out front and in back. The biggest issue are the kids items next door smell so if you're sensitive, either plan to sit indoors or take you items to-go. read more

Oh my lord--SO SO AMAZING!!! The service is so friendly and patient. This was my first time here so it took me a while to decide what I want. They have fantastic gluten free sandwiches and coconut flour wraps. I chose the dealers choice because it all sounded so good and I made the right choice! They use soy free mayo too so if you have a soy allergy like me--you're in the clear! I will definitely be back after my next hike. Stumbling into this establishment, we didn't realize they had already closed, but the guy behind the counter was nice enough to make us a sandwich anyway. Pastrami Kraut Melt 5/5* If sandwiches had dreams, they would be an Auburn Bodega sandwich. They all are both vsually appealing and spectacular in taste. We went with one of their popular sandwiches to try. The pastrami was PACKED in there! The crisp veggies and tart kraut perfectly balanced out the saltiness of pastrami. The green herb sauce, though, is this sandwich's wet dream. It added creaminess, a refreshing palette, and a bit of citrus flavor to amp up this sando tenfold! Warren & Co. Herb Crackers 5/5* Locally made! I checked the labels just to make sure they were local before purchasing. These were unexpectedly so crisp and savory. The lightness of the crackers tasted like you'd get them fresh out of the oven. They were perfectly dusted with flaky salt, rosemary and other aromatic herbs. I got these for charcuterie, but they were so good stand alone that I had them as a straight snack. They had a hefty display case of drinks out back and a small freezer with local goodies like a pot pie. We grabbed some kombucha to wash everything down. I noticed some desserts by the cashier also, and locally made bodycare items, but didn't want to browse any longer and keep them beyond their closing hours. This place is such a local gem. Side note - they prefer being small and local, and asked us not to post their menu on Yelp, since it rotates and people have come to get old sandos that weren't on the menu anymore. Stopped in after a walk through for work to grab a bite and was definitely surprised to find a tiny, but well stocked, organic and clean ingredient grocery store with a deli. Got the Al's T.H.C. (Turkey, Havarti & Collards) sandwich. Came on toasted sourdough with grainy mustard, thick slices of turkey , pickled onions, picked jalapeños and tomato. Amazing! Crew were all pleasant and happy to be there and the service was quick. Tables inside and outside were all clean and well stocked which made it all in all a perfect place for lunch. It's quality has changed. When I lived in Auburn I would bring all my friends here for the sandwiches. They were truly the best. I have since moved but have returned twice in the last 8 months for my THC. I am so sad to report, salty deli meat has replaced the used to be home made meats with smaller bread size. The toasting of the bread is lacking too. It used to be toasted with butter and cheese. It is a good sandwich but not one that i would rave about. You still get the big stack of meats in the sandwich but it's processed and extremely salty. It's needs more chard and picked onion. I was so disappointed this weekend. I won't be back. I used to visit Auburn Bodega all the time when I lived in Auburn, and I loved it then-- but after moving away, I realized nothing really compares to their sandwiches. The Super Veggie Bro's Sis is my favorite, though I've tried almost all of their sandwiches and enjoy every one. I also recommend grabbing a juice or smoothie while you're there. Stopped in for the first time yesterday before a trail run. I ordered the Super Mario Bro's Sis sandwich but got it done as a wrap with the coconut tortilla. The bf ordered the avocado toast which came on a toasted seed bread, pickled red onions and sprouts. Both were soooo good!! They were incredibly filling and made with care. I was surprised to see so many vegan options. Now I have other sandwiches to look forward to in the future. The market itself was well-stocked with independent brands, local, organic, artisan products. We also picked up some kombucha, artisan ice cream bars, and some snackables for our short trip.
