In general, I love Panera...LOVE it. But this location is constantly dirty. I was just there for an hour and didn't see them clean one table and you could tell. This is one of my top 5 restaurants to eat at. I go here as often as I can, it's about 18 miles from my house but worth the trip every time. First off, people say it is a little on the pricier side. Well, what do you expect when they are serving high quality food? Antibiotic free chicken, healthy food options, etc... This isn't like other fast food restaurants, food isn't 100% processed. The breads are made fresh daily along with all the other bakery goods. The taste of everything I have tried on the menu is beyond superb! My favorite sandwich here would be the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich (and I always do the "U Pick 2" option and get Macaroni and Cheese on the side). As listed on their menu, the sandwich contains "All-natural, antibiotic-free chicken, smoked bacon, smoked cheddar, tomatoes & ancho-chipotle spread." As for other menu items, the bread bowls with soup are great for a crummy cold day, the latte's and other hot drinks (especially the hot Chai Tea) are the best around (better than Starbucks!), the smoothies are tasty and low calorie, the salads are fresh and crisp and amazzzzzing as my girlfriend puts it, and the pastries are BOMB! Try a scone (orange) and you will back for more. Don't just go for lunch or dinner though, try their breakfast too. If you want food that will stick to your ribs throughout the long morning, try a powerhouse sandwich. Taste's great, low calories, high protein, cheap price! And for the non-calorie crunchers, try one of their cinnamon crunch bagels with hazelnut cream cheese! They also now offer "My Panera" cards and when you sign up you get a free surprise menu item, mine was a smoothie or latte. These little "gifts" pop up every now and then with purchases. read more

All the panera I ate so far, this is by far the worst. They care about cleaning more than their customer. They took forever to make my food even when nobody is in line. Then made my order wrong. Didn't find out until I made it back to the hotel. And since I'm from out of town, I'm never coming back to this place. Even forgot my damn pickle!!! read more

I loved Panera, until today. I went through the drive thru for the first time. Their soups were not listed on the menu. I asked "what kind of soup do you have today?" The attendant said "the same kinds we have every day." Great, that's helpful, thanks! I ordered a tomato and mozzarella panini. I got to work, and put it in the fridge. Three hours later, I went to the fridge on my break to eat my dinner. What I received is a chicken and bacon sandwich with some stanky enchilada like sauce on it. I'm a vegetarian. I may consider going back to get a replacement sandwich. But it will be my last visit. And I will check the bag before I leave. read more

This Panera bread is a standard Panera bread. The staff is not the friendliest and the restaurant itself isn't the cleanest but the food is good for a take out or fast food option. I really like that their menu is focused on "clean" eating. I have not had a bad product from Panera but I try to avoid eating here. The drive through is mediocre - when you order a coffee expect to be given the creamers and sugars to try and mix in your car instead of having it predone for you as you ordered it. read more

I've been eating here for years. Probably 50 times in the last year & I've always liked it. However, I went through the drive through jan 15 at about 8:45 pm. After I got my food I nearly took a bite of my french baguette when I started to smell something a little funky. I smelled the end of it & it had the odor of perspiration or an armpit. I smelled the other side & smelled the same thing. I tore it in half & smelled the middle & it just smelled like bread. Sorry, but that's just nasty. I threw out the whole meal out & went to subway. I do like Panera but management needs to pay closer attention to whatever's going on here at night. read more

Love that hot cocoa drinks. Had to write down because of missing order. I didnt know there was drink server on the other side while I followed the sign saying "drink here" I stood there for a long time, wondering why it took a long time. The hot cocoa was standing on the other side and waiting for me to pick up. Confusing visual signs. read more

I go to Panera about every other month. The past 3 times I have gone (around dinnertime, 6pm) they have been out of bread bowls. If that is a main item on the menu, they should prepare enough bread bowls for the day. Overall a good store with good workers, but should make enough of the popular food choices for the whole day, especially for the dinner hour. read more

I ordered the steak and cheese panini which came to me with very hard bread, and they forgot my pickle that the menu tells me I should get. My girlfriend got the "pick any 2," and it was a disappointing meal for everyone. It's way too expensive for what you get. Could have taken my money to a decent sit down restaurant for a $24 lunch. Hu-Hot is in this area, go there for lunch instead. read more

On two occasions I have ordered sourdough bread on line to pick up at the restaurant. When I arrived at Panera to pick up the bread I was told they were all out both times. I had paid for the bread on line and had the proof of the orders. I asked why they had not contacted me to let me know that they didn't have the bread before I drove all the way there to pick up. They basically shrugged their shoulders with no explanation. I was given my money back when I asked for it. I have noticed that the last couple of times I have eaten at the Appleton's Panera that the service has been very poor. For example I paid for a drink and a bakery item, waited for at least 15 to 20 minutes and finally when I went up to the counter to ask where my drink was was told that the machine that made the drink wasn't working. I asked why they hadn't told me so I could have gotten a different drink. Again they just shrugged their shoulders. Frustrating! read more

They have stylish new bowls, bu the portion size was WAY smaller than I've grown accustomed to at Panera. If this is the "new norm", I won't be back. read more

My family and I went out to dinner at Panera, and I found a hair in my salad; which is so disgusting. They never clean off the tables either and the floor is always dirty too. I like Panera, but this one in Appleton needs some help. I won't be going back there again. read more

Costly lunch "pick 2". 1/2 sandwich & 1/2 salad was $10. Drive thru was no faster then going inside to order -10 minute wait but sure because made fresh. Vegetables on Greek salad were cut in very large pieces-glad they sent a knife with! Flavors were good tho. read more

Good service and a clean restaurant. Ordered the pick 2 and enjoyed my meal which consisted of 1/2 turkey cranberry panini and the Sonoma chicken stew. Both choices were very good. The products are fine, but I've had disappointing service there twice (once they managed to get three out of three things wrong on my order, which has to be a record.)
