My husband and I have ordered at least another half dozen delivery orders from here since my last update and we've had one dine in experience. All the delivery's have been on time and our order has been correct. The inside of the restaurant is SUPER clean and is really well laid out. It is located in a strip mall and there was plenty of parking. The staff was efficient, organized and friendly. They even have a full bar! The food is GREAT when delivered, but getting it fresh brought to your table brings up to a whole different level. I highly recommend the Singapore Rice Noodles, I could eat those every day, just insane flavor. I hope this place stays around as long as we live here, which with the amount of carryout orders we saw while dining here, it shouldn't be a problem because someone was coming through the door every 10 min. or less to grab an order to go. For an area with minimal asian options, this was decent. With that said, nothing close to what asian food should be. For those who don't know better this would be fair and enough. We will be moving into the area and will likely be making our own dishes at home rather than trying to find a good asian restaurant in the area. We did find some sort of wire in our soup and they comped just the soup for it. Otherwise when we came in during late lunch, the place was dead and quiet. They do have a bar which serves all beverages. Service was nice and friendly, again the dishes were just not up to par, but you do have to expect that for the minimal asian influences within the area. Will not be back but happy eating! They are open with indoor seating and we're very welcoming. The Service was good and the servers pleasant. However, after we were seated, we were told that they only serve the dishes in take out boxes with plastic tableware, not porcelain plates or metal utensils. We stayed and ordered, but that was disappointing to eat out of styrofoam boxes. We dislike eating from take out boxes even at home. This is my favorite place in the Fox Valley for Chinese food. Beyond the great food, the girls working here do an outstanding job in ensuring everything is to your liking. More often than not, I usually have Aimee, Tina, or Inna (sp?) helping me in choosing what is best for the day. The szechuan wonton is soooo delicious, it is very hard to describe how good it is. After placing my order, they emailed me telling me to call the restaurant. upon calling I was rudely told that they're adding an 8$ delivery fee to my order. Typically when you place an order, you have selected pick up or delivery, which I did, it gets added to the bill, which it did. Everything was paid for and good to go until they emailed and then told me on the phone their adding more money to the already high cost. It has been years since I've eaten here and now I'm almost sorry for it. Sorry for what I've been missing. We both loved our app, salad, soup and our meals. The place was clean, staff was everything you'd need and like I said, the food was delicious! The Rangoon's were top notch! Honestly they rival my favorites. Reference photo attached of its light flaky outside and a GIANT ball of creamy flowing goodness on the inside. I also had Red Panang Curry w/ pork. The amount of very fresh vegetables was outstanding and the curry was spot on. My wife had the Pineapple Shrimp and she was thrilled as well. Nothing but good things to say. We can't wait to dive deeper into the Chinese side of the menu on our next visit. So we dove deeper the other day. Food was just as good as last time. I am updating my review. My second experience was just not as good as the first. The calamari was rubbery. The sesame chicken ok. Now the crab Rangoon and shrimp fried rice is some of the best I have ever had. Cute clean place. Friendly attentive service. All the food was fresh and delicious. We started with crab rangoon and fried calamari, both yummy. The Kung Pau chicken and sesame chicken both had tender juicy white meat. The Kung Pau chicken had plenty of vegetables too. My wife and I stopped in for dinner tonight. She had basil chili chicken, I had eggplant in chili garlic sauce. We shared an order of fried potstickers and then we each had a bowl of hot and sour soup. The food was steaming when they brought it to our table. They started out with the soup which was more than excellent, followed by the potstickers which were done to perfection, followed by our entrees. The wait staff was impeccable. We were asked several different times by different waiters if our food was what we wanted and if it tasted good and if we wanted drink refills. This was my first visit to Asian Thai (my husband has been here, but it was quite a while back), so I was excited and curious to see what they had to offer. Upon walking into the restaurant, I saw a sign that mentioned their Pineapple Shrimp. That immediately sounded yummy. After perusing the menu for a few minutes, I decided that I really wanted to try the Pineapple Shrimp. And I was NOT disappointed! The amount of shrimp they give you is worth the price. I was quite full afterwards. The plate presentation was pretty--as you can see in the photos, they made the carrot shavings into a flower. I love those little touches, even though, as long as the food is good, I certainly don't need them. But when the food is good AND they do those little extra touches, it tells me they really care about not only the flavor of the food, but the presentation too. The shrimp itself was delicious. The sauce was very sweet and the hint of pineapple was to die for. Regarding the restaurant itself, I found the inside of it to be quite pleasant. It feels clean and has a "warm" feeling to it. It felt good to sit inside and take my time eating. The food was fresh and came quickly. The crab rangoons are some of the best I've ever tasted (my husband can attest to that as well). The outside is light and flaky, and the inside is packed with delicious cream cheese filling. We have went back there since this initial visit and will be back many more times I'm sure. First off, whoever thinks this is good Thai food needs a taste bud check. Just don't eat here unless you're starving. The service was pretty good. The food was not. As of writing the review we are going to Costco to eat samples to get the taste of the sauces out of our mouths. The vegetable delight wasn't a delight, it was a waste of some good fresh vegetables. I have been eating at and recommending this place to friends and family for years. The food really is good, and I love that you can place your order online for delivery. It's always been a pleasant experience, until last night. We ordered the same thing we've always ordered which totaled around $36. Ever since we've ordered from this place, they've always given you a free order of crab rangoons with orders over $35. Well, last night we didn't get them, so I called to see what was up. The ladies were extremely rude and explained they no longer offer that promotion. I told her I get that, but it would have been nice to see that on the website before I ordered. We have been ordering for years and always received the crab rangoons so we've grown to assume they would be in there. And for anyone who likes Rangoon's, if you're craving them and don't get them, that's a problem. :-) The reason for this review is not because we didn't get the Rangoons. It is because of how I was treated when I called to ask about them. The lady was very negative and explained that it's her business and she can start and stop promotions whenever she pleases. She also kept saying that if she gave away all her food she couldn't stay in business. Again, the negative review isn't so much that we didn't get the food we've come to expect over years of orders.
